Hi @y2guru, was just checking out your theme I really like it, it is as you say plain and simple. However I have a bunch of folders inside the theme folder that I have never seen in any other theme before. I think they are related to Visual studio so I assume they are not actually supposed to be there. Just a heads up is all.

    More information about ""
Really nice looking theme, does exactly what it says in the name. Good work.

You seemed to have posted this query twice, I have deleted the duplicate thread. Just highlight the games you want, right click and choose combine.

Both Windows 7 and 8 have 64bit versions as does Windows 10. Also I don't think that Battlefront 2 will work on that system either.
  6. neil9000
Also that is a 6 year old cpu, I would bet that the graphics drivers simply wont run the correct opengl/directx versions the emulator would need.
  7. neil9000
Yeah I concur with @DOS76 here, even if there was a good reliable emulator your specs would be way underpowered, not just the cpu, but the RAM as well. 2GB will not be enough as obviously Windows would use a large portion of that, then launchbox/bigbox as well.
  8. neil9000
Hmm, that's a strange one, @Jason Carr any ideas here?
  9. neil9000
the only other thing I can suggest then is just to delete it from the data folder, and a new one should be created when you start Launchbox, you will however obviously have to then change back any settings you altered from the default.
  10. neil9000
    No probs.
  11. neil9000
yeah apologies, I edited my post as I missed a part.

Yes, check the box for command line, then add the core you want to use there, so -L "cores\mednafen_psx_hw_libretro.dll"
  13. neil9000
did you rename the file to remove any date?
  14. neil9000
If you know the specific games you want to use a different core for you can just edit the game in question, and add a custom command line like you would in the edit emulator tab to specify a different core for that game only.

OK, fair enough you are clearly more knowledgeable on the subject than I am. That is not what I meant on that, what I was saying is that the achievements literally use hooks that are already in the games, I wasn't saying the achievements were. Games have always had flags for progress in games, the achievements hook into these(what are essentially 0 or 1 or true and false flags in the game code).
  16. neil9000
Nope, the way the achievements work is that there is a trigger point in the actual rom file for certain actions, beat boss, finish race etc. If you were connected online the emu supporting achievements knows the triggers for said rom, I would imagine would award them even if you had no current connection, they will simply be added to your actual achievement score when you reconnect to the internet.

A bit of both, I could do with the girlfriend feature also.
  18. neil9000
lol, I never said it hasn't had its problems, I guess I just got lucky with mine, but specifying a video codec for the error just seems really strange to me.
  19. neil9000
But unless you have all your gameplay videos encoded in hevc to start with, which I bet you don't then the lack of a hevc decoder should make zero difference anyway. This confuses me hugely.
  20. neil9000
No problem, we aim to please.
  21. neil9000
hi and welcome. email [email protected]
  22. neil9000
I would guess you have to be logged into your account and online, launchbox is just connecting to your account to see what achievements you have, it's not actually unlocking any in Launchbox, that is still done through the emulator, Launchbox just reflects any changes from the Retro Achievements site.
  23. neil9000
Ah, OK apologies, I was really confused, it happens, a lot.
  24. neil9000
I am so sorry, but I do not understand?? The achievements use the standard naming convention as most in the emulation scene. So we are adhering to the most commonly used format.

Well, I go of to watch the darts, and come back to this. need to download.
