  1. Oh wow, that is a very old version of Launchbox and I'm not actually sure if the startup videos had even been implemented at that point in it's lifecycle. I'll tag @Jason Carr here as he should have a better idea as to when startup videos were actually introduced to the program. Do you have a current working license? If so I would recommend updating to the current version.
  2. The original startup splash screen CAN NOT be edited or removed, it is built into the program and is not accessible by the user, but as I said in my previous post you can disable it in the Bigbox options, and also disable the sounds. You do not need the startup.mp4 in your root videos folder, you can delete that. All you need is the startup folder and any video you place in that folder will randomly play at startup. Try changing the name of the video in the startup folder also as it may be conflicting as it has the same name. Also what version of Launchbox are you running?
  3. You can disable the splash screen in Options/General, and the startup sound in Options/Sounds. And there should just be a folder called startup in your videos folder.
  4. Are you talking about Launchbox or Bigbox? Because Launchbox does not support videos for starting up its Bigbox only. If you are talking Bigbox you need to create a folder called startup in Launchbox/Videos and drop any videos in there and they will play randomly when you start Bigbox.
  5. I am assuming that they were added to the "Box - 3D" platform folder as they are 3d boxes if they are in there then you may need to switch the image type. Just click on the platform on the left, then at the top right of the launchbox window is a image type dropdown, just switch to 3D Boxes there. This is platform dependent also so you may need to change it on multiple platforms.
  6. Yeah most of the Capcom games use a qsound.zip and this was changed a while back, so you may find most of your Capcom games no longer work. Just go back to the version of MAME that was working for you, problem solved.
  7. I wonder if this is also tied in with the occasional black startup videos as well? Just a thought.
  8. It is always recommended that you match your romset with the correct version of MAME for it to avoid these issues, if you want the latest and greatest version of the emulator (which is updated every month fyi) then you need to keep your romset in check as well otherwise you will have issues like this where games are no longer compatible with the emulator. Here is a great tutorial Critical Cid did on how to update your romset.
  9. Yes, you haven't updated your roms to match the emulator version. MAME is very picky with its files and new files get added all the time when better dumps are found and such, the Streetfighter error is probably a qsound error as that was changed a few versions back. You have a few options here, update your roms to 0.192, download a new 0.192 romset, or revert to the version of MAME that was working for you previously.
  10. Yeah there are two options in demul old and new, the old allows you to raise the internal resolution which the newer one doesn't. This will of course make your games look better if you raise the rendering resolution internally but you will need more horsepower in your system to do so, The newer one uses the default Dreamcast resolution so is the more accurate of the two modes and is less power hungry than upscaling the resolution. So really it's personal preference and whether or not your system can handle the higher resolutions.
  11. Add this file to C:\Users\*USERNAME*\AppData\Roaming\HandBrake and overite when asked, it will appear at the bottom of the presets list and is called .265. If you want to make it the default, click it then choose options just below it and select use as default. presets.json
  12. Hmm, fair enough, I'm not gonna comment then.
  13. I thought input mapper was the preferred choice these days?
  14. Not to warn you off, it has its place, just not one I can help with is all, I don't use. so.....
  15. Yep, i'll help where I can, that's not one as I have zero experience, on that end.
  16. I have to be careful what I say, but I don't need RL for anything I do on Launchbox. If its for you, great . Not for me though.
  17. Where they our tutorials?
  18. Correct, but you may need to specify where the other media is, videos for example, Launchbox will look to a specific folder, you just need to point it elsewhere. Which is very easy to do.
  19. But I personally like a image/video rich Bigbox theme, so I keep most of that on my fastest drive, but as I said a USB 3.0 is just as good most of the time.
  20. For roms, it makes no difference.
  21. Yep, wasn't saying otherwise, just stating my personal system, I have all the heavy stuff like vids and roms/isos on my hdd, but I have the program on my ssd for snappines. I have also run the whole thing from a USB 3.0 external drive and that was also pretty great.
