  1. It is also worth noting that if you already have files named after the rom, Launchbox will still see and use them, but we have our own method, and as we make the program, as well as run and maintain the database thats just the way we do it.

No that is not a feature we support, it will be a generic image until you click on a game.
  3. This usually happens when you kill Launchbox while it is writing to files, which it does when you close it. You should have backup zips in your Launchbox/Backups folder, i believe this is on by default, so unless you specifically turned that feature off (which would of been unwise) you should have backups. just unzip the newest one and look at the settings.xml, if it looks OK copy it to Launchbox/Data and overwrite, if that also looks bad try the next older one, and so on.
  4. Did you let Launchbox download and install MAME? If you did it added some commands to the command line section in manage emulators, one of those is a art zoom option, remove that command.
  5. I just got this error, looks the same as the one above. Object reference not set to an instance of an object. App: LaunchBox Version: 12.8 Type: System.NullReferenceException Site: System.Windows.Controls.ListView (System.Object) Source: LaunchBox at (Object ) at ParamObject.SearchSupportedProducer(Object , ParamObject ) at Unbroken.LaunchBox.Windows.Desktop.ViewModels.BoxItemViewModel.SetImage(ImageSource source, Color backgroundColor, Boolean isMissing) at SchemaHelper.SearchSupportedProducer(Object , ImageSource source, Color backgroundColor, Boolean isMissing, SchemaHelper ) at Unbroken.LaunchBox.Windows.Desktop.BoxImageCache.<>c__DisplayClass17_1.CountStatelessSingleton() at System.Windows.Threading.ExceptionWrapper.InternalRealCall(Delegate callback, Object args, Int32 numArgs) at System.Windows.Threading.ExceptionWrapper.TryCatchWhen(Object source, Delegate callback, Object args, Int32 numArgs, Delegate catchHandler) Recent Log: 17:34:25 Exception
  6. You need a "Clear Logo" folder inside that "American Laser Games" folder.

Have you tried setting gzdoom as the emulator and the wads as roms?

Not real sure what you mean by this if I'm honest. I was thinking the same actually. You have the clear logo on the left, and a lot of blank space on the right, i was thinking it would be nice to have the game snap there, rather than in its own tab.
  9. Short answer, no. Longer answer, our database is English only, if you want your games in your Launchbox in Italian, you would need to translate everything on your machine yourself.
  10. Never cancel a update/installation half way through on any software, you will break it as only half of the files will be installed, it's just a bad thing to do, period. Go to your Launchbox/Update folder and manually run the installer over the top of your current build.
  11. I believe that is by design, and not a bug.
  12. Those are not program errors or bugs, they are image issues with the images on the database, it just means those images are not available for download.
  13. Did everything work prior to the update? Do you get a error, or just a close to desktop?
  14. Well thats not the problem of Launchbox, its the problem of the games YOU chose to import to it. Again, this thread is about moving Launchbox, not every single thing that you may of imported to it, i mean i could import google chrome to Launchbox if i wanted, but i wouldnt expect that to copy/paste to another PC.
  15. Those are not emulators, so its a moot point, its like complaining that your actual PC games dont work when just copy pasting them from one PC to another. When installing games other things are also usually installed, like directx, as well as many others, so they need to be on the PC you are moving too. Most emulators, dont need any additional drivers and such installed to use them. This thread is about moving Launchbox which is a portable program and does not need installing and starting from scratch on a new PC.
  16. i can only think off the top of my head of one emulator that needs to be "installed" the rest are usually just zips that you can unzip anywhere and run.
  17. Not true, most emulators actually dont put anything in your documents folder, and even some of the ones that do can be told not to quite easily.
  18. I know it says its a exe, but it really isnt, just look at the file size difference between the actual exe in the core folder, and the fake exe/shortcut in the root folder. So it sounds like there is something wrong with the shortcut if the actual exe in the core folder works OK. Id try re-installing the latest version from your Launchbox/Updates folder directly over the top of your install to replace the Launchbox files.
  19. You are not posting any images, just really long non-existent links, i cant help you if you dont help me.
  20. That is not the actual exe, its just a shortcut to it. The actual exe is in the Launchbox/Core folder.
  21. You do not need to post the same issue twice, also a image, or copy of the error would be helpful.
  22. Check that your antivirus hasnt removed the exe.
  23. MAME by default looks in its own mame/roms folder for roms, but you can place them anywhere, as long as you tell mame the location, either thorough the mame UI, or via the mame.ini in the mame folder. However if using the fullset importer and pointing the wizard to the correct location Launchbox should be doing this for you as of Launchbox version 12.7.
