  1. Set bigbox to open to platform category instead of just platform, via the bigbox options.
  2. The video in your original post is a "theme video" if you dont like or want to see those, well first off, dont download them, but as stated put it lower in that priority list, so move it down, and put video snap at the top.
  3. lol, no problem, i did think it was a weird question to start with. Launchbox is a emulator frontend, its use is to have games for all different systems/emulators launchable from one unified UI. Dosbox, as it supports commandline is a emulator we support and can launch games into, but thats about as far as it goes, we launch games, not much more than that. What you are asking requires actual dosbox and Linux/Wine expertise, which you wont find a lot of on a Windows based program forums i'm afraid.
  4. Do you realise these forums are for Launchbox, which is a Windows program and nothing to do with Linux or Wine, or dosbox for that matter? I feel you may get a better answer on a dosbox or Linux forum to be honest, very few people here even use Linux, let alone would be able to answer your very niche question.
  5. This is not theme dependant. Add PDF's to the Launchbox/Manual/Name of Platform folder, named the same as the game. You can also add them to the game as "Additional Apps" i believe.
  6. To be honest most people dont care, KODI and Plex do a far better job of organizing movies and TV shows than Launchbox could, and both are completely free.
  7. On the last page of the import wizard you need to check the box to use mame metadata.
  8. Dont put the actual CHD folder into your roms folder, just the CHD's from within it, so its just one folder with the roms and CHD's all together. Or as i say you can keep them seperate, but you will need to actively tell the mame emulator those patchs, you will need to do that anyway by the looks of it as you are not keeping them in the mame emulators roms folder.
  9. Please do not ever post bios or rom files on these forums. Having a bios is only half the battle, does Retroarch actually see them as the correct bios, just cause the name is the same doesnt mean the file is.
  10. Probably a missing bios error.
  11. OK, you have this all setup wrong going by your image. You dont add a retroarch core like that. Add retroarch itself as the emulator, call it Retroarch as well, this then gives you options that you wont have in the image you show there. When Retroarch is setup as a emulator, you can then set whatever core you have downloaded for whatever system you want, see below. Which gives you access to the associated platform screen, which will list all the systems you want to run with Retroarch, as well as what core it is to use, which can be changed to whatever core you want. CPS3 wont be in that list as its not a system, its just arcade, so you will need to scroll to the empty cell at the bottom of that list and manually add that system, making sure you call it EXACTLY what you called it when you imported the roms, and in the second dropdown that appears set it to "scrape as" arcade. Its also worth noting that CPS is just in a mame romset, so you dont need a separate platform if you have a mame romset I would highly recommend taking a look at our youtube channel, where we have tons of step by step tutorials on setting up all sorts of systems with all sorts of different emulators.
  12. You dont import CHD files, Launchbox doesnt care about them, only MAME does, just put them in the same folder as your roms, or anywhere else, but you will need to tell the MAME emulator where they are if you do that.
  13. There are dozens of threads here on the forums asking the same question. Most likely you have Launchbox set to unzip your games when using Retroarch, that will break all arcade games, as they MUST remain zipped.
  14. MAME roms should never be unzipped, they are loaded to MAME as a zip.
  15. Use a keyboard and go to options/controllers and make sure its still selected.
  16. Well then if you are using Rocket Launcher then it is Rocket Launcher launching your games and not Launchbox, so this is a Rocket Launcher issue, and as most people here do not use it, you may get more help on the Rocket Launcher forums.
  17. Not sure i understand here, the image you are showing is clearly a mugen game from the mugen folder and nothing at all to do with Wii, so you imported a mugen game and set it as a Wii game for some reason. If you dont want a mugen game imported to Wii, then just right click and delete it from Launchbox.
  18. Then you can try taking all the assets from this theme and try to rebuild it from scratch in the CTC yourself.
  19. Even 12 seconds sounds way to long, sounds like you have something else going on here. I can launch both Robocop and R-Type from launchbox in 7 seconds, even Street Fighter 3 Third Strike launches in 8 seconds and that also loads a CHD. MAME 0.240, Launchbox on a SATA SSD, but roms on a Laptop style 5400rpm HDD, so as slow a HDD as you can get.
  20. Or just right click the download button and "open link in new tab"
  21. Launchbox is file agnostic and doesnt have any sort of list saying what file types are roms and which are not. So if you are importing a bunch of files with the same name, but a different extension, then there is no telling which file type will end up as the "default" rom when all those files are "combined" into one game entry in Launchbox. So that is why you may have had videos as roms, and retroarch does have a video player built in.
  22. Dip switches can be used to cheat, so if you enable them, we disable hi scores.
