  1. Feasible, as this was already added in version 11.0 ;) :

    "New Feature: OBS Studio integration has been added, which allows you to easily record videos and automatically assign them to your games; take a look under Tools > Options > Integrations > OBS Studio in LaunchBox"

  2. You can either add joytokey as an additional app inside the game Edit window so it opens before the game launches, or make the game executable a bat file containing the open and closure of joytokey as well as the game launch parameters.

    I am not too savvy in these matters, so I recommend you to visit this topic:

    Maybe your solution is already posted there. If not, you can ask as the users that frequent that topic know their stuff :)

  3. Ok, this is what I have in the "Running AutoHotKey Script", inside the "Edit Emulator" window for my MAME:

    Run, C:\JoyToKey_en\JoyToKey.exe /m

    ~5 & Tab::

    {
            Process, Close, JoyToKey.exe
        Process, Close, {{{StartupEXE}}}
    }

    This basically launches JoyToKey when I open MAME, and waits for the Tab + 5 keys input for closing it, before killing it. The Tab + 5 are my keys mapped to my arcade sticks to exit MAME.

    Hope the above helps.

  4. Hey Cnells.

    I do not have my gaming machine here with me now, but I can share with you the script I have in a couple of hours. It launches joy2key when the game launches, and then it gets killed when the game is closed.

    In regards of opening specific configuration for specific games, I did that directly into joy2key. You create and save a profile, and then in the joy2key options you set with which exe file the specific profile will be selected for use.

  5. Hey guys!

    I am trying to Audit a platform after a long time and many LB versions, and I am seeing in the overhauled audit tool that I have now 13 images columns, but they don't make sense: Arcade Cabinet Images, Arcade Circuit Board Images, Arcade Control Panel Images, etc. Even Cart Back Images ?

    I have already checked in the Tools > Options > Legacy > Image priorities and I don't have anything arcade related checked in any of the categories.

    Where can I find the option to select which columns to be displayed in the Audit Tool?

    How can a mod pick up on an apparent screenshot resolution issue while failing to spot an illegal third party watermark?

    The mod status in the database is pretty easy to achieve, meaning that potentially anybody could be a mod in a short while, and the mods not being a fixed/closed group poses a problem in the sense that each individual mod will judge according to his/her own preferences, and adding to the fact that the result is voted by almost a handful of random users makes it worse. I understand though that if the voting needed to approve or reject something gets increased, then everything would take a lot more time to get uploaded and the queues of pending approvals will get even bigger.

  7. @catfer, content should be as objective and unaltered from the raw material as possible. You might find smoothed pixel-free graphics more appealing to you, but another user might find CRT shading better. When contributing to these type of databases, you need to bear in mind that preservation is king.

    If you feel that the original screenshot (how it was actually rendered by the console) is to small without zooming it digitally, you can easily apply a 4x rescale (pre or post emulation) like @Lordmonkus mentioned and it will look just fine (I took the liberty of doing it to your posted image):

  8. For OCD freaks like me who want to have their collection as tidy and complete as possible, these last updates are huge; Start/Stop recording to get automatically generated and placed videos for the obscure/custom games there is no media about, better managing of the editing game screens to easily complete the metadata, improved cleaning media tool and the Audit tool from the previous release. ❤️ ?

  9. Hey Alan, what's up. I'll reply back in the same format as you:

    1. I assume you have already tried placing your .miniusf files in the Music Background folder and when enabling the background music in BigBox nothing happens. Have you tried changing the extension to .mp3 (manually, not converting the files per se) to trick the BB player into reproducing theme anyways?

    2. You can map keys/buttons in the BigBox options, and set specific shortcuts to next song and previous song, as well as volume control and anything else that happens in there. Just go to the Options menu, scroll almost all the way down and you will see the mappings menu.

    3. When you say intro videos for the consoles, I am assuming you mean the platform videos before actually entering each one o them. Launchbox has one path for main platform videos, and another path for the games pertaining to that platform.
    Path for the platform videos is LaunchBox/Videos/Platforms/<Platform Name.mp4>
    Path for game videos is LaunchBox/Videos/<Platform Name>/<Game Name.mp4>

    Hope the above helps :)

    @C-Beats found some things that *could* be the problem. You'll have to test and let us know. :)

    Been testing BB for the last hour, and so far so good :) A new song every time, and I haven't seen the first ones from the folder getting repeated.
