Just an FYI, but one possible fix is if you change your BB video engine to Windows Media the theme still works. WMP is actually the recommended setting for this theme, but VLC is the recommended setting for BB. So if you are dead set on using this theme, there is at least an option until a fix is done.

I'm not, most user's posts I have seen on our forum are for vertical orientations of a 16:9 monitor. You could always use the Community Theme Creator and make your own theme. Look in the 3rd party Released subforum and the Community Creator tool is there. It is pretty easy to use to make a theme.

There are two on the first page both have "Vertical" in the title. 6th one down and the 19th one down. I think there was another one. https://forums.launchbox-app.com/files/category/2-big-box-custom-themes/

Merged threads. @YGT Please do not post the same questions in either multiple threads or start a new thread for the same issue you already posted in. Your new thread had nearly the exact title as this one.

Right click the platform category name and edit it. In the "Sort Title" field make a custom name that will place it alphabetically where you want it. That sort by title does not show up. It is just used in the sorting. You can call it something like "ZManga" as you mentioned and it will now show up at that end of the alpha sort. The name that displays will still just be "Mangas" or whatever the unique name is you have listed.
-
That change in how the name looks when you right click the game does not matter. I have the same setting and it works. I cannot see the full name of your platform in the Associated Platforms tab. Just double check the spelling. You would not believe how many times a typo in that field was the issue.
-
The box with the core name in the LB Associated Platform tab is a drop down list. Just click in it and it will bring the list of cores you have downloaded. If they run in RA and not in LB that usually means a setting issue in LB. Nothing from the images seem off. Your platform is actually called "Nintendo Entertainment System", correct? The name on the Associated Platforms tab must match exactly the name of the platform you imported the games into. When you right click and edit a game is it in fact pointing to Retroarch as the emulator to launch it?
-
There is probably a couple ways to do this. Easiest is in the metadata of the game you can tag them as broken. Then in LB "View" menu you can uncheck the item for "Show Broken Games". You can bulk select these games and then edit them to change to broken for more than one game at a time.
-
First question: Do your games run directly in the emulator without using LB? If no, there is your biggest issue. If yes, then it is a LB setting issue. Check to make sure the name of your platform you imported the roms into is listed in the associated platforms tab for the emulator set-up in LB (the name of the platform must match the name you enter in the Associate Platforms tab). Post a couple pics. 1. Edit your emulator in LB and post a pic of the Detail tab and the Associated platforms tab. 2. Edit a Mame game and post a pic of the launching page and the emulation page.

Bigbox wont load after intro video!! (error attached)
Retro808 replied to floodie's topic in Troubleshooting
Pick a most recent one and test from there. You can always go further back if needed. As to why it happened that could be many things, but usually a corrupt xml file means LB/BB was closed abruptly and it could not save data on closing properly. -
Bigbox wont load after intro video!! (error attached)
Retro808 replied to floodie's topic in Troubleshooting
The prompt tells you you need to replace that corrupt settings file. Did you do it? In your \Backups folder are a bunch of zipped backups. Open one of them and take the settings.xml file from it and replace the one in your \Data folder. -

BigBox playlists not refreshing until app restart
Retro808 replied to awepearce@gmail.com's topic in Troubleshooting
This is not new. It has been something that is known. There is nothing you can do and you are not missing a step. BB is just not refreshing the playlist. It has been mentioned to the dev, but I will bring it up again. -
It is not currently possible to "Add to Playlist" when locked. You can vote on the ticket that was created for it. https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/5262/add-to-playlist-while-bigbox-is-locked

See my response in your other thread. Since the is a bought prebuilt set-up your best course of action is asking the seller why it is not complete. This is one of the many reasons we do not condone buying from people selling roms.

Removing games from launchbox with no roms
Retro808 replied to Greatestdadever2's topic in Troubleshooting
I am sorry to say but we do not offer troubleshooting of prebuilt set-ups. It is difficult since we have no idea what that person did and if you have no clue either we end up chasing our tales. If you want to use the roms from the build and set up LB yourself we would happily offer any assistance to get you sorted out. Otherwise your best course of action is the seller. I surely hope he did not sell you a pirated LB license and you actually bought that from us. -
Game videos LB does not supply. Those come from Emumovies. If you have a premium LB license and a paid Emumovies account you can download game videos directly in the LB UI. Otherwise if you have a premium LB license, but a free Emumovies you have to download them yourself and manually copy them into the correct LB video folder.

Removing games from launchbox with no roms

How did you import games you do not have roms for? What platform is this? -
Just an FYI C-Beats is one of our 2 developers. You have been given credible feedback from him how you can achieve this niche look. Lets be honest it is niche given the fact only 3 users to date have wanted a look like this. Not discounting your request but putting it into perspective. This is one of the reasons the developer has asked you to submit a BitBucket request so they can gauge if in fact more users would want to see this. Sometimes is it not about if something is hard or easy, but with a 1 or 2 man team you need to prioritize what is worked on. To submit a ticket use the link at the top of the forum under "Help & Support". There you will find a "Request a Feature" link to our BitBucket site.

That's my point. Many users state something is "simple" without actually knowing the overall affect it will have. We have seen a simple change made to LB cause all sorts of plugins and themes to no longer work properly. Then simple became a workaround for a lot of things. Functions that would affect how a theme looks means all prior themes then need to be updated to support that new feature. Not saying I do not agree an update is not needed just that sometimes things are not as simple as one thinks. It is not a bug as the program is working as designed. BigBox does generate certain playlist genre logos to ensure that in the Clear Logo wheel list some of the more standard clear logos for genre playlists are there. The desire for text view is the reason Jason requires all themes support text list. So users have text as opposed to clear logo option.
-
Sometimes simple solutions mean back end coding changes which could then require all theme developers to go back and fix themes as well so that could cause more issues than believed. Also if you do not want to use clear logos than why not just select the Text List View?
-
Preview issues has nothing to do with the server. Jason mentions one issue as to why some videos do not work here.

If you use the option to move the roms during import LB should not rename it.....unless you import that game again then LB will see that rom name exists and will then add -01 to the second import. LB should only add the numeric sequence when it see that file name already exists in the folder. Much the same way it does with media.
