See my response in your other thread. Since the is a bought prebuilt set-up your best course of action is asking the seller why it is not complete. This is one of the many reasons we do not condone buying from people selling roms.

Removing games from launchbox with no roms
Retro808 replied to Greatestdadever2's topic in Troubleshooting
I am sorry to say but we do not offer troubleshooting of prebuilt set-ups. It is difficult since we have no idea what that person did and if you have no clue either we end up chasing our tales. If you want to use the roms from the build and set up LB yourself we would happily offer any assistance to get you sorted out. Otherwise your best course of action is the seller. I surely hope he did not sell you a pirated LB license and you actually bought that from us. -
Game videos LB does not supply. Those come from Emumovies. If you have a premium LB license and a paid Emumovies account you can download game videos directly in the LB UI. Otherwise if you have a premium LB license, but a free Emumovies you have to download them yourself and manually copy them into the correct LB video folder.

Removing games from launchbox with no roms

How did you import games you do not have roms for? What platform is this? -
Just an FYI C-Beats is one of our 2 developers. You have been given credible feedback from him how you can achieve this niche look. Lets be honest it is niche given the fact only 3 users to date have wanted a look like this. Not discounting your request but putting it into perspective. This is one of the reasons the developer has asked you to submit a BitBucket request so they can gauge if in fact more users would want to see this. Sometimes is it not about if something is hard or easy, but with a 1 or 2 man team you need to prioritize what is worked on. To submit a ticket use the link at the top of the forum under "Help & Support". There you will find a "Request a Feature" link to our BitBucket site.

That's my point. Many users state something is "simple" without actually knowing the overall affect it will have. We have seen a simple change made to LB cause all sorts of plugins and themes to no longer work properly. Then simple became a workaround for a lot of things. Functions that would affect how a theme looks means all prior themes then need to be updated to support that new feature. Not saying I do not agree an update is not needed just that sometimes things are not as simple as one thinks. It is not a bug as the program is working as designed. BigBox does generate certain playlist genre logos to ensure that in the Clear Logo wheel list some of the more standard clear logos for genre playlists are there. The desire for text view is the reason Jason requires all themes support text list. So users have text as opposed to clear logo option.
-
Sometimes simple solutions mean back end coding changes which could then require all theme developers to go back and fix themes as well so that could cause more issues than believed. Also if you do not want to use clear logos than why not just select the Text List View?
-
Preview issues has nothing to do with the server. Jason mentions one issue as to why some videos do not work here.

If you use the option to move the roms during import LB should not rename it.....unless you import that game again then LB will see that rom name exists and will then add -01 to the second import. LB should only add the numeric sequence when it see that file name already exists in the folder. Much the same way it does with media.

In the View settings change the Startup View to All Games there.

Is there a way to use a specific retroarch core per game?
Retro808 replied to scoobydooami's topic in Noobs
Can you post pics of what you have entered. It should work as described in this thread for any game ran through RA. -
I have no experience with it, but this thread might be helpful.
-
Why Mame would cause an issue I could not even give a good guess. Does the same thing happen in LaunchBox? Running the games through Tekno took less time than it ever did with Game Loader. Downloaded better dumps from emuline, pointed TeknoParrot UI to the required game file and set up controls all within the UI. LB import just required pointing a command line to the game profile. Was glad to get rid of the game loaders. If you have the games up and running though probably not worth the hassle to change.
-
Doubtful since plenty of us have been using Retroach with Launchbox since the hack. Even downloaded fresh install of RA and some cores recently without any issues. 99.9% of the time when a user says games play in RA outside of LB but nothing when launching from inside LB it is a missed setting or field in the Retroach set-up inside of LB.

http://www.progettoemma.net/ On the left side click search tools then go to advance search. You can filter work a lot of fields to get what you need. To find a quick list of working games that require CHD use the following criteria: Working Status: "Only Working" Game Type: "All Machines" CHD Usage: "Uses CHD"
-
Maybe the loader is causing an issue?? I know I tested SSF4AE, Raiden III and IV, and a couple KOF games and they all work fine. I run them through TeknoParrot though and quite using a loader for them quite a while ago. Are you using BigBox Startup theme?
-
LB would not be able to do that. LB does not care or know what roms require what files. All that is left to the emulator. There are only about 50 or so playable roms that need CHD files. 59 according to progetto (parent roms only) and 96 if you include clones.
-
Is it TTX games specific or just games you run through TeknoParrot (or are you also using Game Loader)? Just tested a bunch of Mame games and TP games with no issue. Can you give an example of same games you had the issue with? How do you have the TTX games set up in LB?
-
Correct. There is a plugin in the third party subforum that can help make custom badges. I have not used it so not sure what it pulls that data from. You may be able to link that to the custom field.
-
Use the "Custom Field" and create one specifically for that. Right Click a game and edit it. In the custom field section give your field a name and a value. Now any game can be edited and you can use that field to make playlists. You can also bulk edit games and change the new custom field you made for multiple games at once.

LaunchBox, Retroarch Mame 2016 or standalone Mame issues
Retro808 replied to borland502's topic in Troubleshooting
In >Tools Manage Emulators when you edit Retroarch do you have the correct core selected in the Associated Platforms tab and does the Platform name in the Associated Platforms tab match exactly as the platform name appears in LB? -
@leodavi3d I removed links from your post. It is against forum rules to post links to site that contain roms.

How to select only the games with missing images?
Retro808 replied to ReignerDeustcher's topic in Noobs
In the left hand platform pane of LB change the drop down box to "Games Missing Media" (the section that typically users have "platform" or "platform category" selected). It will then give you a list of options to click on to show games missing different media types. You view may look different from these pics as I am using a custom theme.
