Aww crap. I keep forgetting to look at the main forum topic. Android bit me a couple times.
-
Yes, delete all those playlists if you do not want them. Seems like you ran the option for "Auto-Generate Child Playlists for Platform".
-
Is this with all emulators or just one in general? If just one, which one?
-
Have you downloaded the updated version of that theme? Looks like you are using Big Details and it was updated back on 2/6.
-
Change the "View". Done so by going into BB settings where you change/select the theme. There you will find the option to change the platform view and the category view. Best way is to bind a key/button the the "Change View" option in controller or keyboard binding section. This way you can be inside the actual theme and change views on the fly.

Have you checked you have a "Platform Icon" image named after your "Plug n Play" platform (Launchbox\Images\Platform Icons\Platforms folder). Scrape As would not matter if you do. Less common platforms, let alone custom names a user would/could create will always need manual image additions by the user/community. I just created that platform to test and copied the Game Boy Color icon renaming to "Plug n Play" and works without issue.

Blackscreen when launching Games with Rocketlauncher
Retro808 replied to Visuals's topic in Troubleshooting
Are you using LB Startup theme option and have RL fades turned on as well? Doing that can cause this issue. You can only use one of them. -
You asked this same question in the Sega ST-V thread and you received the answer there.

Recommended Emulator for Sega Titan arcade ROMS?
Retro808 replied to MayorQwert's topic in Troubleshooting
I believe with that old rom set you need to use Mame 2003 core. You can use the smaller split or merged sets. Those are under 75GB. You do not really need to use the larger Non-Merged set -

It does not remove them permanently you are just changing the filter and can be put back when done with what I want to see. Setting to platform category is good option. There is a way to do this but without seeing how your playlists are set to show I cannot accurately help you. That is why I am asking you to do what I need to be able to help. -

Ok. So confirmed you do have those playlists made. Look like in your LB you have the view set to only show "Platforms" (left hand side of LB above the platform names and below the search bar). Change it to show "Playlists" and then it should show all those. Find the "Arcade Sega ST-V" playlist and edit share a pic of the Details tab and the Parents tab. -

Then that is not actually the playlist Neil and I were mentioning. That is just your arcade platform. If you have LB make them you would see them all listed in LB on the left side. Look in your \Launchbox\Data\Playlists folder. Share a pic of what is inside that. -

Read the description. It tells you exactly what rom set. -

Right click one of those playlist in LB and edit. Go to the "Parents" tab and see what is checked as that will define where that playlist shows up. -

Yes, when you import Mame roms LB gives you the option to make supporting arcade playlists. It will create separate playlists for the different arcade boards like Cave, Sega ST-V, SNK Neo Geo MVS, and others. It is the first item in the "Create Playlist" category in the pic. -

@tallpr24 I accidentally deleted your last post asking about which rom set to choose. I was trying to delete the link. 1. Major forum rule is do not post links to roms or share roms on the forum. As far as which to get that is up to what you want to be able to do with the roms or if you have a storage concern. I recommend reading this thread. This pic you would choose either Merged, Split, or Non-Merged. The link above will explain the type differences. -

I know you did not create any new threads which is why I said stop posting the same question in multiple threads. No, we prefer you do not. I clearly stated "Do not post the same question in multiple threads". Post the question once and wait for answer. Posting in multiple threads is a waste as it spreads answers in too many different threads. Multiple users may answer your question in multiple threads wasting time and when other users search answers are spread in many different locations. If you are using a current Mame rom set then the Mame core without the year should work fine. If you separate them out, as in move them out of the Mame rom set folder then you risk not moving support files that might be needed. -

Then its a rom/emulator issue. You are likely missing a support file. If you got them off archive and it did not show what version it came from then I would scrap those roms. Best place to get roms that you know will work in Mame as well as in Mame RA core is pleasure dome's git hub. Download the most current Mame romset and set up your arcade roms that way. If you piece roms together from random sets things like what you are experiencing typically happen. -

I deleted your other post asking about the same thing Sega ST-V. I think this is the 3rd time you have been advised to stop posting the same questions in multiple threads. If you do not find answer after searching the forum the best thing for you I can recommend is start a unique thread on your issue and then be patient. We do not need users spamming multiple threads with the same questions. This option would also be better than dreading up years old threads. The other one you posted in was 5 years old. What mame rom set version did your STV roms come from? Do the games run at all directly in Mame or RA Mame cores without using LB? -
If you added it as a "Platform Category" then the image goes in the folder below: LaunchBox\Images\Platform Categories\[Category Name]\Clear Logo If you have added one and it is not showing go into BB setting page and look for the images options and Refresh the Image Cache.

Yes, bitbucket is best spot for feature requests.

Teknoparrot logo replaced with windows logo
Retro808 replied to JHub87's topic in Big Box Custom Themes
During import you can change the scrape as to whatever you want. I do not recall LB defaulting any scrape as to "Windows" unless you are importing the option for "None of the Above" when asking what type of file you are importing. Even then I think the default is left blank. Either way to correct it in LB just right click the platform name and edit. Go to the images and delete that windows platform clear logo and add the one you want to use. When you run BB again be sure to go into the settings and refresh the image cache to ensure BB does not use the cache with the old Windows logo.
