Only our devs (an likely the couple others on staff) know for sure what path 3D models will take. Nothing has been mentioned though. I would wager something else might get added like arcade cabinets or maybe carts, but available art is always an issue with adding stuff like this. The only time we ever know what is planned is after a feature poll is released and the winning items are listed out. The last poll was in May of 2022. Most if not all those items from that poll have been implemented. So maybe later this year or early 2024 a new poll will hit us.

If that is what you want to do that is your choice. I am just trying to throw some ideas out the see if I can help any. I know you are frustrated, but did you just completely overlook I mentioned the best we can do is keep chipping away at it to find the problem? You had time to make a video of what you said was this issue, but honest that was not needed. No need to see what is happening your description was clear enough. Time would have been better spent at least trying what I mentioned. Did you even try a fresh install on another drive or folder? Better yet, any chance you have another pc or even laptop to try and install on those to see if you still have the same issue. I think we are spending way to much discussing and should focus energy more on testing things out. I would also recommend shutting off all the other unnecessary crap running (antivirus, torrent software, etc..) and see if anything changes. It is going to come down to a process of elimination.

Sometimes it is a combination of software on a users pc affecting other software or even hardware. That Corsair issue did not affect all users. Another one is Nahimic (known to cause LB graphic issues), but not all users were affected. The best we can do is keep chipping away at it. Just offering things to try that I have seen other users as well as myself do. I am confident if it purely was just a LB software issue our 2 devs would likely be able to replicate it. Sadly the vast ocean of hardware builds with numerous different configurations of loaded software is not easy for a 2 person dev team to problem solve for.

Something corrupt in the current build maybe. Chances are pretty slim that is the issue, but trying different things is always worthwhile. Do you by chance use Corsair keyboard? I remember vaguely a few users a while back had some issues with LB and turned out Corsair Utility Engine was causing the problem. I think it had something to do with freezing/lock-ups with LB. I think it was a year or so back. So not sure. Just thought I would mention it.

Have you tried creating a new empty build in a different drive (if you have more than one drive on the pc) or even just a different folder and see if you have any lag moving around in an empty and new build? Be curious to see if there is any difference. If no lag then try importing a couple systems and see if anything changes. It would not hurt to give it a test. My real guess is you have a software conflict with something you are running on your pc and it is affecting LB/BB. So it is going to take a trial and error hunt down to find what it is.

With maps I do something similar and convert to a .pdf. This way when you add it as an additional app it will show up in LB Pause menu for easy viewing.

Yes. Video can be attached like images.

This would be your tech assistance avenue. Post your issues along with specific details and any logs and either the Mods, Forum Members, and even the devs (when time permits them) will assist. One of our devs has already responded in your post previously. So just continuing to provide data in this thread is your best recourse. If you have logs turned on just post the latest log in this thread so it can be looked at.

If you move and find things are disconnected like paths to games or emulators then you just need to reassign the path. Emulator: You need to edit each individually in LB tools. Games: You can bulk edit each platform. If you have that issue just chime back in here and we can help you with the process.

Did you install LB in the Appdata folder? LB is installed only to the folder you direct it to and from there it defaults its data only to the /Launchbox folder of the install.

@izzishor Ah...I do not use that plug-in and have never tested it out. Maybe I will give it a test. The custom views I use for marquee videos and animation affects are all standard line by line coding. I would suggest asking about the issues you are seeing in that plug-in creator's support thread as well. I am doubtful our devs have used that plug-in and troubleshoot it against their LB development.
-
@izzishor Looks like you are using a custom marquee view xaml. Could be the way the code for that view was written. "Selected Game" binding versus "Active Game" binding can have a delayed affect difference. I am not hugely experienced in coding but as I learn and read feedback from some of our devs and better coding knowledge users a theme can be poorly optimized in its coding and create these types of lags. If you use the default theme and the default marquee set-up do you see any hiccups/lags?
-
Maybe let us know what the issue is you are having or provide a video of what is going on. We have not seen many users provide any feedback on marquee issues. It's going to be hard for the devs to fix issues or maybe refine the program without details. I have been using them since they were implemented many moons ago even with custom marquee theme views and do not currently see any hiccups. The ones that I did see were eventually resolved.

See y2guru's post before yours. He advised about the images... -
Well, before you get to riled up lets at least find out what you did exactly so we can provide proper troubleshooting. I see your post in the other thread did not provide any actual useful data as well. So let's start fresh. (Future Reference: Do not spam multiple threads with the same issue. Pick one, post there, and allow users a chance to respond). 1. Did you simply update to a more current LB or did you move drives and then update? 2. Look inside your \Data\Platforms folder. Make sure you only have one xaml file per platform. If you have anything such a Sega Genesis.xaml and say a Sega Genesis_backup.xaml you need to delete all those other xaml. Only the main platform xaml should be there. LB does not make those backups. Usually those are done if you use Skraper. If the answer is "No" to this question then we can proceed with further troubleshooting.

Should not need anything to download from damageinc's links. Just downloaded files from the links fine and not even signed into a Mega account.

@C-Beats Been messing with Omni for the past 30 minutes or so and working really well. The new views option is a nice addition. Is the functioning through a plugin. I tried looking at the code but could not find which xaml the lines for the view change command and the buttons for the views are. Of course my eyes could just be tired as I have been looking at data fields all day for work. Nice that even if you bulk select items you can change views and the bulk selection still stays. You do not have to reselect.

I do not believe there is currently a setting to do this and the pop-out will not remember its last position. You have to manually edit the theme and adding some lines of code. If you are using the Default theme you cannot edit it. It will always revert to it stock coding. You have to copy the Default theme and rename it. Then you can edit that one. If you want to shoot me a PM I can hep get you sorted.

In your LB settings (>Tools >Options >Media >3D Box Priorities) check your "Image Priorities" for 3D-Box If you do not have any other options checked as fallback LB will not show a different type of image if there is no 3D Box image for the game.
