Yes, this is not possible. Playlists can only be made from platform game data as a platform is the only level that contains the actual imported games and all game related metadata. Making a playlist from a playlist is not possible because the xaml file generated for a playlist contains very minimal metadata and there really would be nothing the new playlist would be able to read from that xaml.

Need help with multiple things Controllers and Data Transfers
Retro808 replied to bpcervantes's topic in Noobs
By "downloaded two builds" do you mean one of the pre-built LB set-ups the someone created for people to download? If so, we do not really troubleshoot those builds. Too much of a hassle since we do not know what the user did to the build and if you do not either then it is a lot of tail-chasing trying to figure it out. It is usually best to see if that person has a discord or support forum. LB does not and has never handled in-game controls. That is all mapped in each emulator or game exe directly. -
The most common and likely answer is the team is small and it is not a high priority. Only so many hours they work a day and they have to triage work. Doubtful either of the twice think it is not a good addition, just not a top priority at this point. We have not had many users request this. Lots of users bring up good ideas for additions they just take time.

If you got a Mame full rom set form a legitimate source like Pleasuredome it does not need anything additional to run. I did not have that game imported into my set-up and just tested it in Mame. Boots up fine with the .249 set I have. Even boots with an old .238 set I have on another cabinet that has not been updated. Does not sound like you got your roms from Pleasuredome since you said "...the owner made it so all the roms had to be copied back to the ROM directoy...". I would say ditch that rom download and get it from the source.

We typically do not troubleshoot pre-built LB set-ups since we have no idea what the creator did in the build and if the user did not set it up fresh then it is a crap shoot as well since you do not know all the ins and outs of how it was set up. ColPipe's discord would be a good resource for his builds. Best recommendation from our end is in a different drive or folder download a fresh install of LB from our site. Set that up and then import a selection of games. Test in that build and see if the same thing happens.

No. The license is yours to use on your systems and on as many builds as you own. If its in a portable drive it is still your drive.

This type of post will likely not get any faster help. Please consider a couple things. 1: It is the holiday and our dev team, like many out there are taking tome off to be with family. So expect slow response from them until possibly Monday/Tuesday. 2: Our forum is still small and the members that offer troubleshooting help is an ever smaller number. So overall, a little patience and less crass would go a long way. Any further posts of this tone will not be tolerated. What version LB are you on? If you revert to a prior version does the issue go away. What are your pc specs?

This i snot an option for Attract Mode. You would need to use the "Feature Request" option located under the "Help & Support" at the top of the forum. I recommend after making the ticket to post it in this thread to help steer users to vote on it.

Check the bottom of the email that your license came with. The code for it was typically in the email. If I remember right it was a post script (a P.S.) at the end of the email.

Well it is a theme as the GameDetailsView is typically theme specific. So knowing what exact theme you are using is helpful. Another reason to know is if it is a theme made with the Community Theme Creator you may be able to easily edit it (if the creator released the CTC files) in the Theme Creator. Otherwise it would be a manual edit. Off-hand I do not know what theme that is by the images. What items are you trying to move and exactly where to? Also what image type are you trying to add and where in the canvas.
-
Probably good to tell exactly what you need and provide pics of the view you want edited. Also what theme it is.
-
@Jass_167 This theme was not made with the Community Theme Creator. So, no files would have been released that could be used with the CTC. To edit this you will need to manually edit the code or recreate the theme in the CTC.

You can make custom themes but would need to write the code in Xamarin Forms. Here is a video with faeran going over some basics on making a custom android theme.

This is not an error. It is simply telling you that you have to add a platform name to the Associated Platforms tab. When you add Citra manually during a rom import you also have to add the name to the Associated Platform list for the emulator itself. In the screen where you fill in the emulator name and Application Path on the left hand side you should see a tab called "Associated Platform". Click that and add the exact name of the platform you gave for your emulator. It needs to be the exact way you named the platform.

Where are the Platform and platform category images located?

Those are just the bios file sets. You do not need to download those if you download one of the "Mame Full Sets" below those bios listings. The Mame Full Sets contain all the bios files needed.
-
No. Still active. Just use the search term Monkus gave in the first post in Google and it will be the first listing that shows up.

A couple ways you can do this. 1. Use the audit tool. >Tools >Audit (You can either run the audit on all games or on the platform you currently have selected. Then when the Audit Grid shows click on the column of the image type and have it sort so the games with "0" media in that image type are shown first. 2. In LB in the left hand pane where the platform list is there should be a drop-down menu where you can select things like "Platform", "Platform Category", etc. there is also a "Games Missing Media" option. Select that and the tree list will change to show some missing media categories you can choose from.

Did you map the controls in the emulator? LB/BB have nothing to do with in game controls. The bindings in the LB/BB UI are only for LB/BB. All game controls need to be mapped directly in each emulator you use.
-
You can use either. We typically recommend standalone Mame. RA actually has several Mame cores as some are for older specific Mame rom sets. You are not locked into either option, but the best recommendation is standalone Mame.

To put it bluntly you are incorrect and I think you need to really learn what a bios file is. A BIOS file can be and for most of the existing major companies is copyrighted material. How old a system is does not matter if the copyright is still active. If you do not believe any of this feel free to see what Nintendo did over the past few years to major rom sites we used to be able to get bios and rom files from. This forum does not provide links to any roms or bios files since they are copyright material. Stop arguing over it. We will not allow links regardless of what someone thinks they know.
