  1. True that, @RetroHumanoid is a god of creating RL media.
  2. You dont need to add mame as an additional app, it should be listed as the emulator in the emulation tab of your bottom pic. Also that .exe file you have showing in you bottom pic looks to be the installer for mame. Have you run. And installed mame?
  3. We are not savy until we learn ? Can you go to tools on the top menu and go to manage emulators and tell me if mame is listed there?
  4. Thanks @lordmonkus and @SentaiBrad both soild replies, i totaly understand its not for everyone! i just always wondered why you guys were so quick to shunt people away from it. There is alot of features that get requested over and over again that are available in RL, that i have seen jason on stream personaly say that they will be incorpared some time in the future. RL gives him the opportunity to work on other features which i persnaly think is a great system. Shunting people away from it makes them humbug him to move onto those features sooner the he would of liked i suppose
  5. Check this out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUQzvbweVgw
  6. You also need the "rom" file (the zip you are refering to) that contains the game
  7. Link for reference https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/3097/feature-request-show-other-platforms-on
  8. Ok, we cant share roms/games links on the forum. Arcade games come in a set called "mame". I am sure if you googled the game name and the word rom it would come up with plenty of options on where to find what you are after. once you have it, its a matter of importing it into launchbox and having the mame emulator setup to run it. As rincewind said,if your having trouble with any of those steps check out a coup,e of the videos on n the launchbox youtube channel and they will get you started
  9. Sorry, i am a little confused... Where the file is located on your actual hard drive?
  10. Each their own! No problem with that! my question was have you actually tried it to spead so much fear of it
  11. Oh man, these look awesome! Great stuff!
  12. Have you actually given it a go @SentaiBrad, a serious go? Not just installing and playing for half an hour. i have seen the technical stuff you can do on your videos. You have more know how then most! Yet every time the subject comes up you are so quick and adament against using it or even trying it.
  13. Its against the rules to share roms/games here. google does not share that policy and i suggest doing a search
  14. I am not sure that is the issue @Mike69pt, its just a matter of working out a compromise that works for your machine. I don't go and buy the latest AAA game title expecting to be able to run in on ultra and get 144fps, I know that I have to make some compromises in the graphics settings that get the game to a performance setting that I am happy with. People have bixbox running on a GPDwin and I doubt many people would be running desktops with small stats like that. I was thinking of a way to solve peoples performance issues, as there is so many options that can adversely affect performance, I was thinking may be a performance slider... Low - Med - High as an option in Bigbox. Choosing one of these pre determined options changes a number of settings to suit, eg transitions and image quality as brad mentioned. At least that would give us a base line to be able to troubleshoot performance issues.
  15. msx works easy with RA or blueMSX,. Amiga is a nightmare to say the least! I switched over to the WHQload set and the naming is not supported by lb, so I used the tool that was created in a thread to created the foldernames from an xml so that they import into LB correctly(and scrap). But because it points to an ini file not the rom RL wont load them, it still loads FSUAE and I just have to launch it from the emulator. I have no fix for this at the moment unless I manually go and place each rom in the named folder(don't have that much spare time) There is a great bezel pack on the emumovies ftp, unified bezel pack - mame over 1200 individual bezels for mame games, and the best part is it will load them whether they come from you arcade list or from a playlist! Check out the ftp if you have an account, retrohumoid has some of his stuff on there now to I see
  16. i had issues with bezels and retroarch with retroarch fighting with RL to go full screen, it could be an issue for Virtual Jaguar as well... may be change the full screen options in the emulator and see if it helps. Don't forget to update RL, its in the RocketlauncherUI tab at the top, the little globe icon. Sometimes they push an update to modules to stable. My PSCX2 module shows it should work for 1.5.0 dev-263, I had a look on the pscx2 site and couldn't even find that version....
  17. first port of call should always be the module notes, it will show if there is any settings that you need to change in order to get it working. Click on the green module tab at the top, select the module you want to interact with and click the double yellow page module notes button, it may be hiding the info your after. I have not played with those particular emus so cant help you to much there, makes sure the version of the emu matches the module version. Hit them up on the forums if they need to be updated..... Now that you pointed that logo out it was annoying me, found the setting to turn it off though, it was pulling them from the launchbox media folder, change the setting I have showing in the picture to disabled, you can do this per system or in global
  18. I love RL, it just adds that polish to the setup! There is some great packs on the emumovies ftp for premium users! Bezel setup for retroarch and mame couldn't be easier! The other big advantage I found that using the mess based systems for mame that I couldn't get working with LB(no matter what I tried - countless hours trying) I then sent threw RL and they worked straight away. The modules do all the heavy lifting in regards to sending the right commands to Mame Don't write it off, as Bungangdon suggested once you feel comfortable with LB, give it a try on a system and see if you like it. There is no one real great tutorial for setting it up that I have found, it takes a little biut to understand but once it all clicks its easy.

  20. I use kat5200, that system can be a bit painful to setup. though bios may be the problem as dos76 suggested
  21. make sure your videos are named the same as the platform or playlist or game as you see them in LB
  22. are your games set up in a playlist? if you want that file to play for a particular game then its just a matter of dropping it in the relevant platform folder and re naming it to the games name eg LaunchBox\Videos\Nintendo 64\Golden Eye.mpg you need to set up a play list or platform to have a marquee video show for all games in a series, works well for games spread across different platforms eg LaunchBox\Videos\Playlists\Mario.mpg if its in its own platform then LaunchBox\Videos\Platforms\Mario.jpg
  23. it was some of the earlier systems that I imported before I knew better.... I looked in the xml and id's are stored in some code... cant do it that way either! there is literally no way to get rid of them except one by one, and you don't know which ones have it until you click on them
  24. @orkoapprentice cant get it to work?
  25. Putting it out there to the community I am sick of my games with wiki id's not downloading data from the db! Once your games are linked to wiki not even selecting the top overwrite all meta data and images option when scraping will remove it and replace with the beautiful stuff we have in our DB. Games also don't show that they have a wiki id in the audit tool, there is no way to get rid of it with out clicking on each individual game! Please vote for this issue on bit bucket https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/2944/xfer-overide-wiki-id-when-lb-db-entry-is
