Not sure have the PSD version with all the layers now but will check my (not) organized folder, but here are two items you mentioned: Font used for the system number is Arcade Classic Font | dafont.com This link has a lot of superior company logos which wasn't around yet when I first did those batches.

Get GIMP (free, but using PSD Photoshop format is finnicky) or Photoshop (not free). Most common templates are in Photoshop PSD format and/or Photoshop "action" files which are macro's which do a lot of the work (mostly) automatically. Get a good 2D image such as Steam Game Covers Get a template or make one. There are many if not all major templates for boxes at this point. This one got me started with a Windows box template as well as a "how to" here. Example for PSP and for Photoshop here. Example for Sega Genesis here. General example here. Example for Steam 3D Box here. Many are in LB downloads section or Google.

your x and y dimensions don't make sense so that is part of problem. The -fullscreen switch is what is used to make the window approximate the original dimensions in correct aspect and also to full height of your screen regardless of resolution. However, when using with LB (particularly with start screens) using fullscreen by itself with no x,y will cause windows to move due to resolution changes while starting game. So you can combine the two commands: Daphne.exe %1 vldp -framefile "C:\Users\Pinball\LaunchBox\Emulators\Daphne\vldp\%1\%1.txt" -x 1920 -y 1080 -fullscreen The above works well on a 1920x1080 screen. Adjust yours to be your main monitor resolution. Basically, it tells Daphne to start up with window size. Then fullscreen adjusts fully to window height but keeps the x width at approximate aspect ratio. If have issues with that then set resolution to window slightly smaller than your screen so something like 1680x1050 for 1920x1080 but above should work. The above is easier than trying to use exact window dimensions because for example (assuming 1920x1080 screen) Astron is at 1152x1080 and Badlands is at 1440x1080. Thus, not all the laser games are the same width and the -fullscreen saves you from having to calc them all for your screen window height.

pinball fx Pinball FX (Steam 2023) - LB How to Setup Direct Launch
sundogak replied to sundogak's topic in Troubleshooting
They (mostly) go in sequence. The last table number was 168. But they skipped 163, 166 and 167. Just tried a couple until it launched directly. -

Hmm..just looked and works okay in my Big Box setup. Seems odd if seeing in LB and not in BB. Might try in BigBox by going to Options, Image Cache, and force populate /force refresh although that should just be for images. -
I don't know folder structure on Chromecast (or if can access directory like on Nvidia Shield), but at least for the the MAME RA Windows core they are located in the directory: retroarch/saves/ mame/mame/nvram. Check your RA core MAME.ini path for where it is pulling the nvram files .

Scroll down to the notes in this post and will see Cruis'n listed. Nvram posted along with presets for this and other games:

Yeah, that was bonehead on my end. As you noted quotes on outer string. I don't have spaces in my paths so didn't notice. Also, suspected it was the LB "auto" install (which I don't use so wasn't sure what it sticks where). As you noted it overrides the ini pathing. Glad you got figured.
-
You have spaces in your ini paths so try: rompath "H:\MAME\MAME 0.256 CHDs (merged);H:\MAME\MAME 0.257 ROMs (merged)" Edit: also did you install MAME (the program not the roms) via LB? It could be pointing to different INI file.

LB ignores parenthesis as you noted so that isn't changing in that it would cause other issues unless there was some sort of toggle or lock (my preferred would be ability to lock certain fields). Assuming that isn't changing any time soon, you already have a mechanism to do what you want. Add an alternative name in the database for that game entry. The DB is mostly community driven vs some official naming process so you would need to make those changes. Arcade entries in particular have these to deal with the MAME developers way of naming things (e.g., "3 Count Bout / Fire Suplex" = alternative name for 3 Count Bout so MAME naming imports). Edit: the other would be you submit a bitbucket feature request, but that is long term if at all solution since depends on others wanting similar.

That is the launch command but notice it doesn't seem to be consistently opening if BN window not open. Sometimes first launch doesn't open D4 but a second try does.

Different style but these were posted in this thread and also bundled up into Download section here:

For 3D boxes there is only one "type". If you look at the database where I am assuming you download the media there are three 3D boxes all under North America region. What LB will do then is name each as title of game then with -01, -02, -03. You can prioritize a media type (i.e., Box Front or Box Front - Reconstructed) and region but not at individual media level. For 3D boxes you are left with removing the media you don't want to show up. Alternatively, you can open up the edit window, select the image, and move it to some category you never use. I use "Fanart Cart - Back" as example. That way you keep media if ever change mind.

Yes, pack is uploaded here. Was away for work so delayed. Grimm Tales was only one MIA so I recreated with similar but not exact font.

Added media pack to FX here: This pack uses naming convention with the XML so should just match automatically. Truest also has a pack he did and located here: -
Version 4.0.0
8,134 downloads
V4.0 Update with all 127 tables as of August 29, 2024. The following includes media for Pinball FX. Media naming is formatted for ease of import assuming setup as noted below. This pack contains 109 tables as of 8/24/2023. Screenshots and Fanart are all 1920x1080 and in PNG format. Goal was to try to find high quality images. Unfortunately, Zen only ever releases some media for their tables so you have to hunt and peck. I will update pack periodically as get time. I also have about 25% of a video pack done but that may be awhile at this point and will release as separate download entry. Setup in Launchbox Media in this Pack Clear Logos (Clear Logo.zip). Grimm Tales was only table couldn't find a decent image. So recreated via an approximate font. It is close but not exact. If find better will upload. Tarcisio Style Wheels - Silver/Round (Box - Front - Reconstructed.zip). I have been playing around with another wheel format but only done one attached at end of this for Indy set. Screenshots (all 1920x1080 PNG format files): Gameplay (Screenshot - Gameplay.zip): Desktop View Game Select (Screenshot - Game Select.zip): Full Table View Game Title (Screenshot - Game Title.zip): These are typically backglass type images. For physical tables the images are from backglass (non-stretched). For others typically will be similar to fanart images but with various logos on image. Fanart - Background (Fanart - Background.zip): about half are similar to the Game Title images but others are more "simple" with no Zen logos and less textual clutter. Not all Zen tables have easy to find media so in some cases the fanart file will be identical to the Game Title above. Advertisement Flyers (front and back) for the physical tables: currently 28 as of 7/29/2023. In the Advertisement Flyer - Front.zip and Advertisement Flyer - Back.zip Steam Backglass Images (Cabinet.zip) - 2 monitor setups only: You only need this if you have two monitors and want a back glass image on the second monitor. Images are the same as the Game Title versions above but renamed as needed to properly work (need a "_" in the name and must be PNG format). These are to be placed here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Pinball FX\PinballFX\Mods\Cabinet Note not to be confused with the Launchbox "arcade cabinet" media. This is for Steam folder only. Credits: Update 9/3/2003 with 3D Box since LB DB doesn't have separate entry for FX: Pinball FX.xml -
mame-handheld electronic games - artwork / layfiles
sundogak replied to d8thstar's topic in Game Media
Google "MAME 0.254 EXTRAs GitHub io" and will see link to get pack that contains artwork set (among other things) up to the 254 version. The artwork folder contains lay files and images inclusive of handhelds. Pack is updated about every other version of MAME that comes up. Note not all games have them so if not in this pack is likely isn't generated yet. Edit: also make sure backup your existing artwork MAME folder and/or select the specific files you want from above download so you don't nuke anything you already have. -
No visual editor I am aware of. Thus, need to go to Pause Theme download section find one that mostly fits needs and you can adjust the theme via XML code. Pause Themes - LaunchBox Community Forums (launchbox-app.com) Takes a bit of fiddling but I have tweaked mine to do what I wanted (I am definitely not coder). Pause menu does have the manual feature although some limitations (see thread below).

I have all of them but won't be able to post until weekend (along with other media beyond logos). There are other packs out there like at the PinballX site. Lastly, 95% of them are here in our download section under Pinball FX3 media since all but about 5 of them we also FX3 tables.
