Just wanted to add some additional information, I also tried using the Missing Media function and download missing videos and LB keeps crashing with this error: Value cannot be null. I need someone to test something for me. I imported Arcade collection a while back but didn't include "Music" in the initial scrape. Now, when I try to select all games in the Arcade platform and use "Tools > Download > Update metadata and Media for Selected Games" then select only Music, it downloads nothing. I've tried single games and get same reults, nada Emu Sync finds and download. But it would be a nightmare renaming 2-3000+ files. I never tried re-importing the collection to see if it would grab the music files on initial import, only tried after the fact.

3D-Details View File This theme is similar to the Details (SE) with a lot of shadowing going on giving it a 3-D effect. I'm still tinkering with it. I tried shadowing the text wheels and it really looked great, but the theme is just way to slow. No biggy my friend, just sharing what I see. If I had to take a guess, I would have to say my color issue is more related to themes created with CTC as Dave doesn't support VLC like WMP??? 😉
-
Thx fella's. I have the Web Media Extensions package installed. I've done converted all the snaps and I still have the color issues that I was reporting Here;s a quote from Microsofts site: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-11-windows-media-player-unable-to-open/ba731365-8f2f-4a50-8c21-003cb6a36a3c "Unfortunately, Media Player doesn't support all webm files codecs even if you install the Web Media Extensions codecs from Microsoft Store However, you can use 3rd party player such as a VLC media player to play all the webm files without a problem"
-
LOL, not hardly. I was just reporting to the LB team. A color hex code should be universal. There are many reasons the colors could show differently for each user. The OS, GPU or GPU driver, player, etc.. This wasn't noticeable to me in LB in the past, as I had always used VLC, but like others now having to use WMP which sucks because I have to covert all my .webm video snaps to .mp4. Maybe the Team needs to investigate it more as more as more folks seem to be encountering the issues with VLC.???

Stop All Imports from Defaulting to Multiplayer
The Papaw replied to The Papaw's topic in Troubleshooting
I'll see if I can do some more testing with it. I've finished the re-build and it's a large collection of 26k + games. I've got some 360 games I might be able to play with, that might get us into the time period before the Max Player field was implemented in LB. Will get back in a day or so., thanks for getting back -
I just wanted to pass this along concerning VLC . . I have noticed that the colors are not matching correctly in BB when I use VLC. For example, if I create a background color and use it in a theme and use the same hex code I am using in Photoshop, it looks correct if I use WMP in the BB theme. If I use VLC, the colors do not match. This has been happening in the previous and current versions of VLC used in LB/BB The surrounding color of the video snap in top right corner are supposed to be the same like in the 2nd SS Using current VLC Using WMP

Stop All Imports from Defaulting to Multiplayer
The Papaw replied to The Papaw's topic in Troubleshooting
@AstroBob Sorry for the delay. I have been trying to investigate more. From all the games I have checked using a fresh build, seems most of it is games that were added to the DB before LB implemented the Max Players field. Not sure how far back that version was. -
Is there any way to stop every single game from importing as "Multiplayer" game when nothing is pulled from the DB? Wouldn't "Single" be a better default cuz it always take at least one player (99.99% of the time)

Not working for me when emulator and rom files are on NAS. I get nothing after adding the emulator other than LB adding emulator settings
-
@C-Beats @faeran Any chance the Vita platform will be fixed in this round as far as scanning in the (eboot.bin) roms like was done with the PS3 a while back?

Hey ya'll. This here's another Bigbox theme called Details. It was designed for big screens. It uses the 16:9 aspect ratio, and geared more for using on large 4K TV's. I'm still working on this one and it's not finished. I plan to add more views like a Marquee, Coverflow, etc., I'm just not that far along yet. Best to use Windows Media Player in BigBox for the colors to match the "Colorful" video snaps correctly The screenshot of the media has some rough edges on some of the media and is just to display the replication of the media used in the wheels. They don't look that way in the theme itself. I've also got another version in the works with shadows on the devices, note, videos, wheel items, etc. that will look similar to the shadows used in the Settings view Included Views: Platform 1 (horizontal wheel-bottom) *Platform 2 (vertical wheel on left side) *Platform 3 (vertical wheel on right side) Platform Text View Horizontal Games 1 (horizontal wheel on bottom) *Horizontal Games 2 (horizontal wheel on bottom with different alignment) *Vertical Games 1 (vertical wheel on left side) *Vertical Games 2 (vertical wheel on right side) Full Cover Flow Games Game Text View *Wall Game View Settings (*included in SE version only) Assets Used in the video: (SE version used in the video) Jarvis Sound Pack: https://bit.ly/46qXWXA Jarvis Startup Video: https://bit.ly/46qXWXA Details (SE) Startup/Shutdown Theme: https://bit.ly/46qXWXA Details (SE) Pause Theme: https://bit.ly/46qXWXA This one has more time and work put into it, more than any theme I've done to date. From graphics to unique views. There are somewhere around 300 view files used in the theme so far and still counting. I've done 100 or so custom wheel items/images for the platform and playlists wheels so far. This time, I went with controllers and year for the wheel items of the platform/playlists views, and game cartridges and discs for wheel items on games views. I love how Launchbox allows us to download our artwork, but I was going for a more consistent look with the game cartridges and discs. I have spent 100's of hours trying to replicate each of the media types used so far, trying to add as much detail to each as I possibly could without going overboard and crippling the theme. I tried keeping the look fairly simple, but this theme is very complex in design. Unlike most themes, I'm not using 2 or 3 fonts. So far, it uses 57 different fonts, as I tried matching fonts that pertained to each included platform or platform clear logo. I tried to match them as best I could. I also tried to throw in a bit of history you might say with some of the artwork. Or making Retro, as Retro can get. Like in some of the art I used in the Arcade platform. I used images of the very first arcade machine ever made for public use. It was called "Computer Space". Or with "Future Pinball", I used a wooden pinball machine. I put a lot of research into this one, even details such as the years that the store fronts were founded in the Store Front playlists. I also set it up to work well with some of the best platform videos out there, the Colorful Platform/Playlists Video Snaps. You don't have to use them, so if you prefer different ones or none at all (choosing none will show random snaps), that's no problem. However, if you don't plan on using the Colorful videos set, you need to DELETE or RE-NAME a folder in the theme called "Colorful" (..\LaunchBox\Themes\Details (SE)\Media\Colorful). This theme relies Heavily on "Fanart Backgrounds" and "Clear Logos". It also needs good metadata for things like ESRB Ratings. The ESRB ratings are used quite a bit on much of the media replication I've done. (I also included an extra PEGI folder for those folks that use that system as well. You may need to do a little file renaming and moving to get them going as you need too, but they are included.) The biggest problem with this theme is the Playlists views. They can be slow. The more platforms used in a specific playlist, the slower the loading. This is because of the way LB/BB is using a "default" view when it's loading everything for that playlist. LB/BB will be loading many different types of cartridges and discs from different systems all at the same time, well, it can get slow. BTW, the little animated trophy means that game has Achievements if you use Retro Achievements. Well that's about it for now. Leave comments, suggestions and Reviews here on the forums. If you watch the video, don't forget to like, share and subscribe to help out the channel. If you have a minute, make sure to check out our Buy Me A Coffee page for all the latest updates and information on how gain access to exclusive content to the PSGC and PSMC collections, and while you're there, maybe you'll buy me a cup of coffee or maybe become a member. Or maybe you might make a donation through PayPal. All donations are to be used for my grandson's college fund. On a side note about Papawson, (my nickname for my grandson), I'm awful proud of the little feller. We started home schooling him starting in the 1st grade, he is only 10 now and should finish the 7th grade in just a couple months. He tells me all the time, Papaw, you know you will have to drive me to college everyday, because I won't be old enough to drive. -ENJOY! • The Papaw 🙏❤️🙏 -

Yuzu Early Acess 4176 Doesn't Close from the Pause Menu

I am having similar issue with Xemu as it uses <CTRL><Q> to exit. -
I was re-doing some roms for my SNK Neo Geo AES collection. Out of the 214 files, and allowing the merging the variations, I wound up with 158 games. It appears to have downloaded artwork decently and this is what the platform shows (only 8 game with no names or anything below them, except 1): After closing and re-opening LB it seems to be showing correctly.

Yeah that happens to me as well. Or if you go to do something that uses a dialog box, it will appear in the top left corner of the screen instead of normal location. Been that way for months for me.
-
Thanks Teach, so I should probably use non-merged set to import into LB, then export them to be added to NAS to save HDD space on NAS. Less chances of them not working and less headache, other than time. Would you agree? BTW, hope all is well with ya Joe
-
Can you export MAME roms from a Merged set like you can with a non-merged set. Like shown in last youtube video? Going to build a new setup using 0.273 and need to be able to export them for NAS. I do use chd files as well if that matters
