Speaking of Steam Link, I'm SHOCKED this isn't on the poll. Steam Link support is the only thing i'm missing to make my experience whole.
-
This is already possible. When the startup video is playing have you never pressed enter? Doing so will cut the video as soon as Bigbox is loaded. You never have to wait for the video to finish.
-
I was wondering, is the a fullset download available that is more recent than the one uploaded in December 2018? Also, I've been looking for an overlay for Capcom Sports Club if you're taking any requests... I can't even find a cab photo of the thing!
-
But cases are image files. There's no way launchbox can possibly "look" at a photo to determine what type of image it is, let alone whether or not it is a case at all.

It's been a while but here's a surprise shadow drop!

Atari Lynx View File Please subscribe to my Youtube Channel! My work blends a few influences relevant to the platform while showcasing the machine itself along with the games the platform ran: 1) Music made using sounds available on the platform (where possible) 2) The platform's boot screen (if possible) 3) Commercial influences usually in the form of the platform's marketing jingle. 4) The platform's packaging. In this way, the platform video itself gives an accurate interpretation of what the platform is, was marketed as, and what it looked and sounded like. I only had to delete it once. It loaded fine afterwards and I haven’t had to delete it since.

In Bigbox, after refreshing my platform wheel images, it isn't possible to exit out of the option screen. The back button doesn't do anything. The only solution is to exit bigbox and reopen it.

I am also getting this issue with 9.8. Launchbox works fine in 9.7 but after updating to 9.8, it crashes on startup. Deleting cefsharp solves the problem.
-
Makes sense.
-
I stand corrected then. In that case, the startup and game over screens ought not to appear at all for any of these such apps.
-
You can't assign an additional app to a game that doesn't exist. it is either additional or not. Whether you choose to launch it with the game or not is your choice, but this is not the INTENTION of the feature. Again, at issue is not what the feature can do, but what the INTENT of the feature is. On that, I am not wrong and you said so yourself. Quote: "They're literally there to give you something in addition to the base game," This supports my statement. To say "in tandem or without." does not prove me wrong. It simply explains what the feature can do, which I do not deny.
-
Please take the time to read what I say correctly. I said the feature is MEANT to launch ADDITIONAL apps in tandem with the game. That does not exclude the ability to launch any app without a game. The question at hand is what the INTENDED PURPOSE of the feature is, not what the feature can do.
-
Then please explain what "additional" means.
-
Additional apps is meant to be used to run an app WITH the game (such as joy2key), that's why you're getting startup and game over screens... you're supposed to be playing the game. To do what you want, you should be launching the game through rocket launcher with hyperpause and look at the articles/commericals through the pause screen while in game. That is, until pause screens become a thing in launchbox, assuming Jason allows us to access pdf files and videos through it. Launchbox will eventually be replacing the need for rocketlauncher altogether and you don't need to update launchbox. So keep you settings as is, use an odler version of launchbox and when launchbox features replace the need for rocketlauncher altogether, take the time and make the effort to update at that point if you feel you need to. But as was stated before, the issue isn't that no one cares, it's that you're posting in the wrong place.

In this video, the beginning displays a blue screen followed by a flicker/jitter common when starting a GX4000 game. An animated box art screen follows which slowly transitions into a 3D interpretation of the space pilot art followed by a Star Wars inspired jump into hyperspace to reveal game play footage. The Amstrad CPC platform obviously doesn't come in a box (other than a boring brown cardboard box that is), so this time, I decided to let the system speak for itself for you all to enjoy.
