FlightRisk
Is there an "other platforms" option in LB/BB? The one FE I know that has it is GameEX. You go to a game screen where the description, year released, etc. is and there is a separate menu that lists all the other versons and platforms there are of the same game. So you can just scroll through each item without having to go to that game screen and it instantly shows you the movies of what that game looks like. I find it very useful to be able to go to any version of "donkey kong" let's say, and then scroll through to see every different version and what it looks like. So I can instantly see the arcade version compared to the Atari XXXX version. And I can click that menu to go play that version instead if I want. Kondorito
I know this is not what you are looking for, but if you do a global search for example for "Donkey Kong", you will get a list of all the DK games you have on all the systems in one place. FlightRisk
Thanks. That's a start. If it doesn't have it, perhaps that could be a feature for the future. I imagine this would have to be a downloadable database just like anything else that can be scraped. There would need to be a customizable window where there are hyperlinks pointing to the movies for those. Maybe LB is or will be extensible somehow in it's themeing. DOS76
Anything is possible to be added however the recent poll for feature requests is quite long so who knows when and if this would be added.
FlightRisk
Hate I missed the poll. I tried searching. Can I read the poll somewhere? Anyway to add my request to the list?
Lordmonkus
You can submit a feature request using the links at the top of the website here, click Help & Support > Request a Feature. Here are results from the last poll: https://www.surveymonkey.com/results/SM-V9D22LCH8/
DOS76
https://www.surveymonkey.com/results/SM-GDHXGMPB8/instant/ Here is a link to the survey results the poll is closed so you can't add anything to it nor could you ever the items were placed on the poll after gathering user input in a live video stream. You can make a request on our Bitbucket found in the help&Support link in the forum header like I said there are no promises but on BitBucket other users can vote for it if they think they might want that feature also but not really sure how many users go on there to vote for things. polygonslayer
I was thinking of this feature the other day as well. Would be very handy to have, anyone know if it has been added as a bitbucket?
FlightRisk
@polygonslayerYes. Try here and add your comment: https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/3097/feature-request-show-other-platforms-on
alnyden
@Jason Carr recently commented he did not think it could be implemented with accuracy (there was not sufficient info in the database), and therefore was not added to the last poll. Can imaging that this only works if it’s moderated within the games db...
polygonslayer
Yeah, would no doubt be quite inaccurate at times, but I think over time it could be better as moderation goes on. I know some databases like mobygames already have it so there is no reason it won't work with the LB database as well. Anyway, added my vote and then we will see
Chris Kant
from my point of view the GamesDB needs a big update to fulfil the current needs of all the different user from different countries
