  1. Remove the controller bindings for the rotations if you don't want them to be. Changelog means there is a setting that can be used to tell the view to use the old way or the new way of showing those views. The old way makes it a static image.
  2. I'd vet if you TV has a "game mode" in it that helps with response times. If the same program works on one TV but not the other it has to be because of the device of the OS settings for that device. The way LB works it really doesn't pay any attention to the monitor it's on other then to determine scaling values.
  3. Unsure if you are using the CTC or raw XAML but essentially all you'd need to do is replace the FlowImage control with a FlowModel one. You can take a look at the Default theme's coverflow views to get an idea as to how to do that
  4. Sounds like a typical issue when using the "Use All Controllers" settings and you have certain controllers hooked up into your machine. Wheels especially are known to do this and Big Box has a setting in it's options to ignore some of those problematic controls.
  5. I read the statement as being closer to the latter image.
  6. We don't have any way to do this in app en masse currently. Does sound like something a plugin dev could whip up fairly quickly if you can con one of them into it.
  7. This was done for backwards compatibility and just folder cleanliness. When we moved from .NET Framework 4.8 to .NET Core 3.1 the file structure applications use changed drastically. We didn't want to clutter the main folder with all the extra crap so we put the main application in the core folder and made a redirect app to sit in the main folder to not break any existing shortcuts. We put the symlinks in the core folder because a lot of the older themes required us to do so to not break pathing. I've never heard of symlinks causing any computer performance hit. Also not real sure why you're already making symlinks yourself in the LB directory.
  8. Interesting. Don't know that I've ever seen a CD case that looked like that.
  9. If you go into Options > Security there are several things you can remove from the system menu. As long as you don't hide it while locked you should be able to
  10. @PaulyC Can you confirm the left/right side of the jewel case looks better for you in beta 6? @spycat we have a clear spine variant, have you tried that?
  11. Yeah if the games are all in \\LaunchBox\Games and your emulators are in that folder (and portable) as well it's just copying the folder from one location to the other.
  12. The answer to your question varies greatly depending on your setup. LaunchBox is an entirely portable app and moving it only requires copy the folder the a new location. If your games aren't in the LaunchBox folder after doing so you will want to select the games by platform and in the Tools menu there is a menu item to change the rom path (believe in the File Management submenu). You can use that to point LB to where the roms are now located.
  13. Long press a game and then in the menu appears press "Edit Media"
  14. Hey all. Probably one of the last updates I'll make on the forum about the app. Will only be making updates on the CHAOS Discord server moving forward. Just wanted to let ya all know I stood up a temporary SquareSpace website to distribute the app with. You can now go to www.libraryinchaos.com and get the app from there. Isn't a real sexy website but should serve the purpose I need it to until I get the time to hand craft one.
  15. This is almost always caused by one of the following: 1) You have a service called nahimic running on your computer. Check Task Manager service tab and look for a service starting with that name and shut it off it you find it. Then restart Big Box 2) You are using an integrated Intel GPU (like Iris XE) and need to go into Intel's graphics dashboard and turn Anti-Aliasing either OFF or ON (doesn't really matter which) instead of it's default "guess" value. Then restart Big Box
  16. Not sure where you are seeing "Blank boxes" where a video should be. Anything in default themes of LB/BB either will show a screenshot image where the video should be, or just hide the video control if there are no videos. In either app you can currently theme something to make this possible and without requiring the video be copied for every game. That being said if you are wanting it to appear in the LaunchBox Games Details Carousel control that currently isn't possible. This is the first I've ever really heard of this request, and it doesn't personally make a lot of sense to me. That being said you can create a BitBucket ticket for it though, if it gets enough votes I'm sure it'd be considered. At this time this features isn't on any roadmap though as far as I'm aware.
  17. Pretty sure this was already done and had to be removed because the functionality breaks certain Android setups.
  18. Feature already exists as a side bar filter. On the left hand side where you see "Platforms" or "Platform Categories" there is an options that is called "Games Missing Media" pick that and you have the ability to show only games missing a certain media type.
  19. Fairly certain that view uses what ever image group you're using in LaunchBox for that platform. If you open LaunchBox and go to Atari 7800 and change the image group to 3D boxes it'd look the same. The image in the top isn't our 3D model, it's the 3D Box Image.
  20. No need to apologize, I just didn't realize you added images to the OP instead of replying with them. MAME really shouldn't be used for non-arcade games unless it the only thing that can play them. RetroArch or stand alone emulators are better for pretty much every system they cover. I admit the assumption is on our end that people would only use MAME for MAME games and can see how that can cause some confusion. Staff is aware of the issue and we'll discuss internally if we want to make any changes to the process.
  21. Just saw you added pictures to your initial post. Yeah the fact that you're pointing to MAME as the emulator is the issue. When using MAME as the emulator we ask MAME for info on the game you're passing, and since non arcade titles are SWL entries it doesn't return any info and so LB see's it as an invalid rom. If you change that entry to something else you should be good to go.
  22. I'd also make sure you aren't pointing to a MAME emulator when doing the imports as the import wizard acts differently when doing so and could cause issues as well.
  23. To be honest a lot of what you're saying doesn't make a ton of sense to me. We don't pay ANY attention to the folder path the game is in unless you tell us to via import. LaunchBox is entirely portable as well and we don't save anything to a shared space or registry entry. Could you show me what the contents of your genesis rom folder looks like so I can see? Also a pic of the options you are using in the import would help a lot.
  24. Sounds a lot like you have one of the "Hide Games Missing..." options on and have already imported the games the first time. Go to the View > Show/Hide menu in LaunchBox and make sure none of the "Hide Games Missing..." options are checked. Another good way to check if the import is saying "0 files found" or no games are listed in the last page of the wizard is to go back to the import options page and select "Force Import duplicate games" and then continue. If they then show up, you already have the games imported into your collection.
