The images should be showing only for the game with that same ID. Images without the IDs may show up for all of the games that match that title, but only when an ID'd image doesn't exist.

Thank you @jaythompson.

Gotcha, that makes sense. I'd appreciate if you could create a ticket for that via Issues/Requests in the header if there isn't one already. Thanks!

Hi @shro2016, that theme does indeed look awesome! You've certainly got me excited. Per #1, the game totals and index are unfortunately not available from the game views, though the platform views do display the total number of games for that platform. I've added it to my list but unfortunately it may be a bit before I can get to it. Per #2, I assume you mean the single game page where you select all the items on a single game. That actually uses the TextGamesView as the root view.

Thank you @Wattoo! Updated for the next beta.

Hi guys, I will take a look at this soon. Ultimately it's not @Hexxxer's fault, because even though it only seems to happen with this theme, it shouldn't be happening to begin with. Sorry for the trouble; hopefully I can figure out a fix here soon.

Just to update you guys, @eXo is currently waiting on me to implement some stuff so he can officially move everything to LaunchBox. I am going to prioritize that stuff very soon.

@djwar This happens when you have multiple games with the same title in the platform, and the extra numbers and letters are there on purpose in order to specify the particular game ID that the image is associated with. So in that case, there's probably a different game that the image *is* associated with.

@wallmachine Video placement is still buggy and I have that as a priority on my list. Getting videos to align properly and fill their containers is sometimes problematic. Check out @CriticalCid's CriticalZone theme as an example though to see what is currently possible for video placement. CoverFlow images currently don't support highlighted borders either, outside of using an image above or behind the control. @Liam That is a good point; I don't think it's currently possible to display custom fields individually. We should look into that.

Awesome @Rune Lockhart, great to hear. Blessings.

@Amauri If you want to only show certain games, perhaps marking games as hidden would be a better option for you. You can use the Hide field in LaunchBox to hide the games. Both LaunchBox and Big Box have separate settings for whether or not "hidden" games are shown. It should be relatively easy to filter to unfavorited games, select them all, and then mark them as hidden in batch.
-
Hey guys, currently no variables are passed to the AHK scripts, so it's not possible currently. Please put in a ticket using Issues/Requests in the header to request it.
-
@jaythompson Yeah, a ticket would be great for those missing fields. I'm always hesitant to do mass dumps from Hyperspin because yes, I don't want to step on anyone's toes, so we want to make sure we have permission before doing mass additions.
-
@CriticalCid Good point on the .dat files, thanks. It's a terrible format to work with (I wonder why they're using this weird proprietary format), but it makes sense that we'd want to work directly with the .dat files. Hmm.

1080p SNES Recorded Hyperspin Game Theme Videos *RELEASED*
Jason Carr replied to Riffman81's topic in Game Media
Killer, thanks @Riffman81! Any word on when @circo will have them up and available from EmuMovies? Are they on the FTP already? -
@FoxyMonty Awesome. Basically what I need is a list of all the files from all the latest No Intro ROM sets. You can use this link for an explanation of how to export a file list to a text file (you can ignore the Excel portion): http://smallbusiness.chron.com/copy-list-files-windows-folder-excel-list-40032.html Let me know how that works for you or if you run into any issues. @DOS76, yes, we'll be using the No Intro convention everywhere possible. Though, what do your N64 ROM files look like? I'm curious why it's marking them all as trainers. @keltoigael It looks like for some reason it's just taking slightly longer to load those platforms, and so part of the transition is sacrificed. It'd be interesting to know what in particular is slower about those platforms, but that might be hard to figure out without your entire collection (including media). It could be missing media that could be causing the problem, as I have seen delays caused by missing media before. @lordmonkus Makes sense. I think we need a ticket for that one; I don't recall hearing that request before. I *think* though in the latest versions, if you select XInput it'll automatically work with all 360/Xbone controllers and nothing else. So, if by chance, that solves your issue, might have been worth mentioning.

@DR9 Ah, that's quite interesting. I wonder what Rocket Launcher is actually doing with that feature; if it's really trying to lock up the app for a time, then no wonder. I didn't even think that was possible on Windows. Thanks for figuring that one out; if nothing else it's good to know so we can tell people. Not sure where to get started with what we'd fix though. @ckp Yes, I tried it without Use All Controllers checked. I'll give it a shot with your settings file. @damageinc86 @Charco Yeah, that's a known issue. It happens when things get behind and then it ends up playing more than one copy of the sound at once. Hasn't been high enough of a priority to tackle as of yet, but probably worth putting in a ticket for it. @ThePolish Ah, I see. Per the images, yeah, that does get confusing. The problem with only doing existing images though is that it affects all games in that view, not just the current game, so that wouldn't make a lot of sense. @oilertitanfan I'll take a look at that. @DOS76 All I can figure there is that maybe LaunchBox was still open in the background?

Hey all, beta 2 is out with the beginnings of an audit feature. You'll find a new Audit menu item under the Tools menu in LaunchBox. Keep in mind that this is still very early (only just started on it today) and both the data behind it and the features need quite a bit of work yet. I have big plans for it, though, such as helping you find missing images and videos, identifying games you're missing, etc. Eventually it'll be an ideal tool to use to perfect your collection for each platform individually. I'm also hoping to one-up Hyperspin with it, by allowing you to choose exactly what you want in your collection instead of using the pre-built lists. The data still needs fleshed out with complete lists of all No-Intro files, so let me know if anyone wants to help with that data collection stuff.
-
The first 7.5 beta is out guys; Big Box now remembers the last platform and the last game you were on for every platform.
-
@DR9, @zerohex has run into similar issues. I don't think it's affecting everyone who's using Rocket Launcher (or I think I'd get more reports), but who knows. We need to see if we can identify what configuration setting on either side might be causing it. Who else here is using Rocket Launcher? Any similar issues or no?

@ckp Finally tested two Xbox One controllers with a wireless adapter and still can't reproduce any issues. The only other thing I can figure is maybe it depends on the controller firmware or driver versions? @WolfRamiO That is gonna be an extremely difficult issue to solve without having that hardware on hand. I'm guessing the issue is unique to that hardware in particular. Not really sure where to go from here as it'd be a lot of work to get a test set up going; what happens if you only connect one of the two controllers? @cammelspit That is a known issue that has to do with the order in which the videos load; on my systems, it usually works but not always. It should work though once you go into a platform and go back. @neil9000 Happy new year!
-
Thanks @Wattoo. I have the translation updated for the next beta.
-
Thanks @AVissie, in fact I didn't tackle that in particular before this release. I will look into it soon though. @WolfRamiO What kind of joystick are you using?
-
Alright guys, the official 7.4 release is out. Got pretty much nothing but positive feedback on 7.4-beta-4. Let's hope this one is stable enough to last a while so we can dive in to some new features. Let me know if anyone sees any issues with the new release (or upgrading to it).

Hi guys, can one of you with the startup delay issue zip up and send me your LaunchBox\Data folder? I haven't been able to replicate it.
