  1. Awesome! Glad to hear it's all working great, and thanks for sharing your config. :)
  2. Thank you @yajinni! I will add the favorites folder feature to my list. :)
  3. Hi @yajinni. Some other folks might have some better answers for you, but I'll answer what I can. The best way to set up multiple discs in LaunchBox is to use Additional Applications. You can add an additional app for each disc, and mark them to use emulation (just point them to the game disc files). Swapping discs is often unfortunately a challenge and depends on the emulator. I'm not aware of any current solutions for #1 and #2.
  4. Thank you @scree and @DOS76, I appreciate you guys helping me test this and reporting the issues. I'll do my best to get these fixed tonight. :)
  5. Hi @wirtual82, currently you are able to multiple filter things by using a combination of the sidebar filters, the search box, and Arrange By. To be honest, I don't see us heading in this direction because it seems much better suited for things like music than games. Still, thanks for opening up the discussion. I'd be curious what everybody thinks; if the community agrees that we should head in this direction I'd definitely listen.
  6. Awesome, thank you @AFaustini. I will get these updated and in the new beta tonight.
  7. It looks like you can launch Steam Big Picture mode like this: \steam.exe -bigpicture So what you can do is create a new game and point the Application Path to your steam.exe file, and then put -bigpicture in the application command line parameters. That should work to launch Big Picture mode.
  8. Hey all, it's that time again. I just put out the feature-complete beta before 5.3, so we should be ready to go for translation updates. Here are the resource files that have changed since 5.2: Strings.resx ImportGamesFromFilesWizardForm.resx MainForm.resx AlreadyRunningForm.resx EditAutoHotkeyScriptForm.resx EmulatorForm.resx AboutForm.resx AddEditForm.resx They should all mostly have only minor changes (just a thing or two added, most likely). It is possible that some of them don't have any real changes (sometimes Visual Studio likes to save them even when nothing changes). As usual, the language package downloads at the beginning of this thread are up to date. Thanks as always. :)
  9. Alright, new beta is out. I'm hoping this will be the last beta before the 5.3 official (been a long time coming). We are feature-complete at this point for 5.3. I fixed all the above mentioned issues with the list view, etc. Fixed XBox One game controller support, the issues I introduced with ScummVM, and everything else that I know of that is significant. I also added the necessary data pieces to automatically populate the right game titles from the MAME ROM file names. This should work on the ROM imports, making them much cleaner (though we're still relying on TheGamesDB's selection of games). Thanks much everyone; I'd appreciate as much testing as possible on this one to prep for the final release.
  10. Hmm, so the ROM import is what has the issue? Are you using the ROM import when initially adding the ROMs?
  11. Hi @DOS76, finally got around to looking at this. However, versions are showing up fine for me. By chance, do you have "Show Versions" unchecked in the View menu?
  12. Hi @yajinni, you can batch mark games as favorites in LaunchBox by selecting all of the games that you want to mark as favorite, and then right-click and Edit. Currently, ROM paths are not automatically scanned for new games. However, you can always re-run the imports and it will find/add only the new games. Automatic folder scanning is indeed coming. Yes, the latest beta versions of Big Box do put the favorites at the top. The official version with this should be out in less than a week. The setting does stick. Thanks! :)
  13. Hi @SqHd, welcome. I'm not sure if I'm fully following. You're saying it's missing images after downloading them from TheGamesDB?
  14. Weird, this is because the new Xbox One controllers show up as "First Person" controllers instead of "Gamepads" or "Joysticks". So weird. Anyways, it's an easy fix in that regard, but I'm also noticing that the controllers have a new configuration which messes with the trigger scrolling in LaunchBox, so I still have to tackle that. I should have a new beta out over the weekend that addresses it. :)
  15. Hi @jacarado, welcome. Sorry for the late response. I've noticed that this is almost always because Retroarch can't seem to find the BIOS because it's either looking for different BIOS files than what you've put in there, or it's looking in the wrong folder. Check your retroarch.cfg file and make sure the system_directory line is correct.
  16. Wow, thanks for pointing that out @sylandro. You're very correct, I apparently broke ScummVM with a change from another thread (adding the Extras path). I will research and fix before the next beta.
  17. Thanks @chadmoe1, sounds great. I might need to add plugin support to make this happen, which has been on my plate for a while but I just haven't tackled it yet.
  18. Nathan DiYorio said I just tried out the new view, and I'm glad it's there :D Hopefully the ability to fill in fields just by double-clicking on them in List View will be added eventually? That will certainly make editing metadata much more efficient. 3 - A way to display steam (or game) banners on the list view. Like the Dolphin emulator does. But thanks a lot. In regards to this, maybe a "Microbanner" image category could be generated? "Microbanners" would have to be some uniform size, but once designated could replace or precede the titles in the list? An option to "Prefer Microbanners to Titles" or "Use Microbanners with Titles" could be added. I am also experiencing the issue of sort order being changed to "Genre" when leaving List View. Also, if I right-click the top row in List View (I was trying to see if I could hide metadata fields) I received this error: System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index at System.Collections.ArrayList.get_Item(Int32 index) at System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewRowCollection.get_Item(Int32 index) at LaunchBox.Controls.ListGamesControl.grid_MouseDown(Object sender, MouseEventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.DataGridView.OnMouseDown(MouseEventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseDown(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.DataGridView.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) Ah, I'll take a look at that bug as well, thanks. Edits are indeed coming, but it may be a bit yet. Not a bad idea on the microbanners. Or we could allow you to customize their maximum size and just use existing banners?
  19. paulmichel21 said I would try it again but only premium content , and from Argentina will not let me work , so ... there are some other work you've done is amazing , I really like but I regret not being able to see all their possibilities. Hi @paulmichel21, do you mean you are unable to purchase? Email me at jasondavidcarr at gmail dot com and I can help you out.
  20. scree said Hi Jason. I've been trying out the new List View feature. If I select List View, and then go back to Boxart View, The boxart always displays by Genre. In List View mode, launching games works ok when left clicked but the right-click menu is quite buggy; e.g. launches the wrong game, opens the wrong manual etc. It's early days yet and this will turn out to be a lovely feature. And now a few personal suggestions if I may. An option to hide unwanted fields. The ability to re-order fields in a left to right priority. Customising the style of the grid. I like OpenEmu's alternate bars format. Font and text colour customising. Thanks @scree. I'm gonna focus on squashing the bugs first; I wasn't aware of that genre bug so thanks for that. I do plan on adding all of the features you mention too, hopefully soon, but again they might not make it into 4.3, depending on how quickly I can squash the bugs. I really need to get 4.3 out in the next week.
  21. AFaustini said Jason Carr said New beta is finally out with the list view. It's not perfect quite yet; in particular, I know that the scroll position and sorting is not properly saved when the grid is refreshed, and there are various features in the LaunchBox interface that only apply to the images view that need to be disabled for the list view. Also in this beta is a fix for the delays in launching games for large libraries. I love the list view. But i have 3 suggestions to make this mode perfect. 1 - Live editing on the list. 2 - When this mode is selected, in the detail pane, put the front box or steam banner image on top of the details. 3 - A way to display steam (or game) banners on the list view. Like the Dolphin emulator does. But thanks a lot. Thanks much, @AFaustini. All good ideas we'll plan on, though they might not make it in this release.
  22. Hi @wasili, good to know, thanks. Hopefully I can get them added soon. I think I was working off of this list here: http://scummvm.org/compatibility/ I don't see Gabriel Knight there though; is that list out of date?
  23. Hi Nathan, sure; I can see that. On my list. :)
  24. Hi @vsilvalopes, welcome. Trials are unfortunately difficult to do if you don't do DRM, which is why I've put that off. I have a passionate hatred of DRM so I really don't want to do it if I can help it. That said, I may have to consider it in the future. I do plan to add a search feature soon; thanks for adding a +1 on that. :)
