  1. I don't remember if the -nogui option makes a difference, but if you are on the last beta it does look like we may have a Controller Automation bug. So if you aren't using that, and are on LB 6.3 (not beta), you can give this a try.
  2. If it's not in the drop down menu for controllers (Though it should be), try checking the box to use all attached controllers. What type of SNES controller is it? What type of drivers is it saying it uses, i.e. Generic Drivers or something specific?
  3. Unless they have command line documentation you can't just put a shortcut through like that, usually. That does sound like a settings error. I would check the video settings and make sure things like vsync or triple buffering are toggled. I don't remember the defaults and I can't get in to demul right now. You may even need to try changing the rendering method. I don't remember if demul has a software rendering method, but swapping between DirectX 11 or Software might make a difference too. Your CPU type doesn't matter as much as much as how new it is, what speed is it (which is directly tied to the age, as a 3Ghz CPU today and a 3Ghz CPU from 3 years ago are not the same thing at all), and if you have a GPU that supports Direct X 11. If Dolphin is working though, and you're on the latest, then you should have the right hardware as Dolphin also uses DirectX 11 (maybe 12?) so this leads me to a settings issue.
  4. This is an old thread and we don't use AHK anymore, we have Controller Automation which is different. In ePSXe there is a check box to remove that closing dialogue, that is the only way to get around that. I also think that pressing the closing buttons again when that closing message pops up will also close that message and thus closing the emulator, but I don't know exactly, I haven't tested that but it should work. Other emulators that have this dialogue, there needs to be a way to turn it off or get around it.
  5. kanonopc said When razer hydra is connected, launchbox scroll down automatically and don't stop, doing it unusable This problem happens when I connect a USB in the hydra. When I disable Controller suport, It stops. I think the problem is with razer hydra driver conflict, because launchbox recognize Razer Hydra like a controller Unfortunately, if this is the case, there is actually nothing we can do. We can't tell a piece of hardware what to do with it's Drivers, the piece of hardware interfaces with the driver then the driver tells us what the hardware is. This is something we will never be able to change. If you are trying to use a controller though, in your controller settings there is a drop down to select which controller. You should be able to select your controller and not your keyboard, as long as you don't check the box to use all connected controllers.
  6. orac31 said Jazzphone said Jason Carr said New beta is out guys; I spent the latter half of my day fixing everything for the German translation and this morning fixing numerous bugs from Bitbucket. This beta also has the stuff from yesterday's live stream where we tackled the option to skip the game details screen in Big Box. I'm going to push out 6.4 here in the next few days, hopefully. Hi Jason, it seems the new beta broke controller automation and I can no longer exit games. I tried remapping keys but no go on that. I went back to beta 2 using my back up and all is well again. I can confirm that two is there any why I can go back to the last ver? Open your updates folder and sort it by date modified, pick the second oldest exe in there.
  7. I just let the emulators handle it the way they want to handle it. If the save state gets put in to the folder along with the game, then you don't have to worry about the name of the game or the save state. It's only when saves or save states get lumped in to the same folder that it becomes an issue. In the tutorial I hadn't done PBP's yet, that was recorded months ago, but my answer for saves would be the same, I don't do anything special at all.
  8. When you update, make sure to copy over your system folder, retroarch.cfg and the config folder if you have it. You can also carry over the cores folder too, but these should be freshly downloaded for updates. If carrying over the RetroArch.cfg breaks something, cause sometimes that can happen, as long as you keep the rar you got the release from, you can pull out a fresh RetroArch.cfg copy.
  9. Yea I would suggest to get the latest version of the rom set, MAME .175 Split, and the latest version of MAME / using the "MAME" core in RetroArch (not the ones with years on them).
  10. You just need to download the core, but you still should download a new nightly every few weeks / every month, that's what I do. RetroArch it's self isn't in Beta or anything, but the new N64 core is the one in Beta.
  11. In truth, this is one of the main reasons why we suggest No Intro and nothing else. You get the games you want without all the bloat. Not only is it harder to sift through for users, but then it adds more entries to LaunchBox that take up more and more resources. It's been requested a lot that we create some sort of folder system, or way to display multiple versions of the same game before, so this is becoming a big request. I am unsure the best way for us to tackle it though.
  12. It won't work if you tried to use them on PSP, but Mednafen doesn't care.
  13. The performance (we talked about this), and making a request to change a game from one platform to another. I know, for example, there are still a few DOS Games in the Windows section that need to get moved over.
  14. Yea, try to disable the control options inside of LaunchBox. I am unsure if this will work, but this is the only thing related to LaunchBox that has to do with controllers, so it's a good place to start.
  15. Yea, you get daily bandwidth caps and no access to the video, but if these are things you're not worried about it's not required. We do honestly suggest users get it, if they feel that is media they would like to have though. You can download everything else for free, you would just need to make multiple passes over the course of a month or so because of the daily cap. There is also a speed cap as well. I believe Circo said he was raising these caps a bit, but they still exist. If you just paid for EmuMovies though, the video still wouldn't work, you also need LaunchBox Premium to accompany that, but that too is optional. We would of course love it if you did pick up a premium license (assuming you liked LaunchBox), but it's fine for users to just utilize LaunchBox as free software.
  16. Do you mean move them on the Database? No not yet. Do you mean in LaunchBox? Sure, of course, and Scrape As helps a lot in this regard too. The Database sub-forum has discussions on what we need to add, and so does our LaunchBox Games Database BitBucket. If the console hasn't already been requested there, you're more than welcome to request it yourself.
  17. We have tutorials on our YouTube channel that will walk you through how to add games to LaunchBox, and a few tutorials on specific features. You can see them here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSIht6UXIEXIgz4eXAEShxA/featured
  18. You can easily change this with Image Priorities in the latest version.
  19. The Relative paths are relative to that entire drive. So I have my emulator folder outside of the LB folder, but on the same drive, and it uses a relative path. You can plug in an absolute path instead of you wanted, I've edited these in the LaunchBox.xml with Notepad++ before, so they work, but keeping them relative would make them more portable. They just need to be on the same drive. As long as the manuals have the same name of the game that gets imported in to LaunchBox, or the same name of the file (and in this case I actually don't know what that would be), as long as they're in the proper folders in the manual folder it should work. In DOS and 3.1's case I used the folder name as the rom name, since the folders and exe's it was grabbing are not scrapable. This leads to it being scrapable in the Database, so in that case I think if the media is named after the folder with that option checked? The database does accept just a games year also, so it must be getting downloaded in to LB that way, but it does look like LB is not flexible in that regard. We can certainly make a change to the way the date field is handled. You, or anyone else, is more than welcome to create a BitBucket ticket on any feature you'd like to see added, changed, or any bugs you come across. For the Premium features and Piracy... well we've actually already had to deal with this, and so far our efforts in this regard have seemed to deter pirates. There is an entire thread on this on the forums called Premium Pirate. Essentially someone did do this, and since we don't use DRM there is no way to deal with it, except for that we now use a method on our exe's that make them very hard to crack. We're always worried about it, and we do try to work with some of the pirates in certain cases, but at the end of the day we do know we can't stop it all, or stop anyone from doing what they really want. Yes it hurts us in the long run, but we're doing fine. As long as the users knows that they're effecting our lives and families, that's all that can be done if something like this does happen again. The Premium features we think, we've struck a good balance between free and premium. We hope that we've provided a sufficiently front end in just the free section that a user would want to support us and get even more out of it. There does need to be a value proposition and so some things do need to be created for premium, but we always ask if the feature is something that the user really needs to have LaunchBox work. Is this feature a base requirement that LaunchBox can't do without on a base level. Sometimes it's yes, sometimes it's no. If you have any more questions eXo, we don't mind answering them and helping you out at all. If you'd like to contact us directly, you can e-mail us at brad@unbrokensoftware.com and jasondavidcarr@gmail.com.
  20. It is still not a full release, they are testing it. :P
  21. Then go back a version, or the the version you were using previously that worked until there is a new version. I don't know what causes this error, but like I said it did go away when I changed RA versions, but you may have to wait, or try nightlies till it works. I'd also head on over to their forums and ask them if they know what can cause this issue as well.
  22. I didn't edit anything. I just let the MAME Importer in LaunchBox do it's job and it came out that way. The check boxes and selections should change things around for other users if they choose different options than I did, not to mention that was a few versions of MAME ago, so something may change inherently from version to version.
  23. Try updating your RetroArch install (you can carry over your config, system folder and config folder), and see if that resolves it. I've had this come up randomly with very specific versions of RetroArch and I don't know where it's coming from, but it's only happened twice. It was usually a new version, so I had to go backwards in each case, but a week or two later I would update again and I wouldn't get the error.
  24. Ok, I see the image now. I don't know how I missed that. Then maybe we have it wrong? That's possible too. I mean technically... we both have it wrong. The title should be all of that on the box art. We have part, they have the other part? :P
