  1. You don't need one actually, I just tested the latest bleeding edge build. Bleeding edges get installed to C:\Users\<insert your name>\AppData\Local\citra. I moved the installed version to my 3DS folder, changed the emulator exe and it launched just fine.
  2. I've been wanting a dedicated emulation handheld. I love my Vita, but I want something independent of another closed system, and those GPD's have caught my eye. I'm too broke now to get them though.
  3. Also, I don't think you need the first 2, the 1000 series, only the 5000 series. However, one of the 5000 series is just a renamed 1000 series (forget which specifically).
  4. It is on the list to cover RetroArch Overlays (they're not called Bezels), but I just haven't gotten there yet.
  5. You can try MobyGames, others websites that are old-school oriented, GameFAQ's surprisingly has a lot of artwork, and then of course like Derek said Google. As long as those sites don't care that it's uploaded elsewhere (MobyGames might, but I don't know), then please feel free to upload them to the database. Just please follow the Community Guidelines.
  6. Are they your videos? Would you think about uploading the original quality ones to our download section instead?
  7. MAME is full of options, but not all of them may be accessible by a UI. I updated our default list that I am trying to get Jason to update as well, but it's taking some time.
  8. Sadly, yes you do. It's a limitation of DOS. What you could do, is try and grab DOSBox LFN (Long File Name), and replace the default DOSBox in LB with that one. It provides a ton of improvements, and I think it removes restrictions like that. You could also try a program that batch renames, and replace ' with a space or nothing.
  9. Glad they helped you out. If you do need more specific platform help here's the entire list of tutorials: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6pTDaHeAz-WMcNURVPU-1xLN_TVpT3FB
  10. You're trying to use LaunchBox 4.3? We can not help or support for older versions of LaunchBox really, so you will be completely on your own.
  11. I think something like this has been requested before, but not too many votes or requests. You can search for this ticket by clicking Issues/Reuqests at the top, and if it does exist, vote on it.
  12. I wouldn't be surprised if it was partially because of the virtualization going on.
  13. I use Foxit myself, but Jason does want to work on a built-in pdf reader at some point.

    XBOX

The xbox is hard to crack because boiled down, it's pretty much a PC actually. It runs a modified DirectX competent and everything. It's like writing a Windows XP Era emulator for newer machines, and we all know how bad virtualization can be, now add on a closed off system that uses customized and internal code, not something super well documented outside of Microsoft. It actually uses a modified exe for the games even.
  15. What Derek said about length made me curious, the name of those games is rather long, do you have them buried in a long file path name? What happens if you import the games on the root of your drive?
  16. Potentially, but it's out of my realm to say for sure. I will however forward this to Jason specific (sometimes it's hard for him to even see @ mentions) and let him know whats going on.
  17. As long as the MAME specific rom importer came up, it should be good. If all the names were changed from shorthand to normal, and you found metadata and media, you imported them right. The MAME Importer was the one during import that had all those check boxes about region and types of games. One of the check boxes is to not import known non-working games, but this is for MAME Standalone, not MAMEUI and the build could be slightly different, I don't know. If you may need more help, we do have a tutorial on MAME. It's a bit out dated, some of the sections like about Lightspeed for example can be ignored because the software hasn't been updated, for it's still all there for the most part. Just replace what ever version of MAME I was using for MAME .180.
  18. If you have a bunch of SWF files, you can use the add files option and use the windows search to filter out and add all the SWF files. No clue if there is any metadata or media for them, but best chances would be under PC, so set it up as a Flash platform and scrape it as PC (or keep it in PC). You can associate an emulator if you want, or if you have the program set up as the windows default program to open up that file, with no emulator set it will just open up the default application as well.
  19. There is no debugger unfortunately, one would need to be made. Just to make sure, you don't have any games without a platform right? It LaunchBox detects a duplicate game, it just wont import it. It's odd that zero games ever get added. Did those file names have any special characters as well, or was it regular English Unicode script?
  20. Also, LaunchBox should have filtered out non-working games automatically. The MAME Importer was used correct? I'm hoping something isn't wrong there. Also, if you do have it move your files, make sure to move the rest of the mame games to the same folder, some games have dependencies.
  21. Are you on Windows 7, 8 or 10? It should be fairly the same for the most part though. You can right click the file in windows, go to open as, select to choose a program, select the program from the drop down or navigate to the exe and then make sure to check the box to always use that applications. You can also type "default" in to the windows search, and it should come up with "Program Defaults", but it may be more limited or less intuitive in scope, im unsure.
  22. Is it not scraping the right name? Is a game attached to the proper ID and it still wont download properly? If so, I don't know... I can ask Jason and see if he knows.
  23. Of course, im glad you got it sorted out!
  24. There isn't a set order for the images per-se, but it is awkward that an image showed up in the wrong category. I'm personally not seeing that, but I haven't checked every game either. When you click the blue text in the top right to go to the Database entry for that game, is that Prototype image on the Ninja Gaiden page? I doubt it, but if it somehow is, then that can explain a lot (but then open up questions on who approved that or if there is a bug). I am also curious if your install was created before the XML split (LB 6.8 or so), and you've since been updating. I'm hoping it's a more simple answer, like a potential corruption issue as that can be more easily fixed, and not some awkward bug, but I have no clue. Is that Prototype image also in the Genesis folder labeled Ninja Gaiden?
