  1. If you put a -L command on a game and there is one in the associated platforms tab for RA as well, it might crash. The best bet is to keep it as it's own platform and just scrape as Sega CD.
  2. Well it could take up to 48 hours after approval, but it's a guesstimate, it could be 2 hours if approved at the right time. The shorter the better obviously.
  3. Sorry if this seems dumb, but changing the sort by and restarting LB doesn't make them go away?
  4. You can download them in LaunchBox under the Tools menu and it will do all the work for you, otherwise it should be in the ../LaunchBox/Video/Platforms/, and the video should be named after the system you have in LB. So you have Nintendo DS, you make sure the video is labeled Nintendo DS.
  5. Yea, so unless a game has multiple entries on the Database (which is not the right way for it to be done), most games that are the same but have different names may not be found. Alternate naming should fix this in the long run though.
  6. Search the BitBucket first, as this may have been added to previously and it would be better to vote on the existing ticket, otherwise to submit a bug ticket, click Issues/Requests at the top of the LaunchBox site. This does sound like a small oversight though, Additional Apps is getting used more than ever now, so more is being tested.
  7. I would say actually, that if you want to create some videos original ones would be best. @CriticalCid used a fairly complicated process to batch record, encode and output these videos, and there is A LOT of them. In terms of making something from scratch all you need is OBS or DXtory to record footage, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and or Adobe After Effects. Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects is what I use to make everything for LaunchBox myself, with OBS for recording. He used scripts and some odd software to get his job done if I recall. Also, there is some tricky stuff going on with who wants what videos where, and we're extremely lucky that any of this happened at all. There was a few months where we were certain it was never going to. For those specific videos though, a lot of permissions grabbing was needed and they're hosted over at EmuMovies now. Cid can fill you in on the specifics.
  8. I would be concerned about the Copyright as well, more severely than roms and bios ironically. Nintendo is NOTORIOUS for this. So for the time being I would highly advise against this. In the mean time, I am sure @circo would be just as happy if we helped them out and outfitted their service. We're already tapped in to the API, the music is available for free (I believe) through LB, so why don't we clean up a source we use? Circo would absolutely love the help I am sure.
  9. There are threads on the site where users have submitted artwork, and EmuMovies has some packs (that can also be downloaded from within LaunchBox), but the best thing to do is follow the Moderator Guidelines and edit the Database your self. Add images and alternate names, or add the game entirely, just make sure to follow the guidelines as best as possible is all we ask. So you're more than welcome to make a thread in the proper sub-forum and ask around, or check one of the other threads, but adding to the Database directly is the best thing anyone can do.
  10. Of course, we certainly appreciate it. Knowing that it's a duplicate then, for sure the not-correct one should be deleted. I bet that one got created because I recall the rom being called that, but just because the rom is called that doesn't mean it's what the game is called.
  11. Was it 6.9? Too much to keep track of, but then yes, just install the older version of LB on top of the directory you want to keep and it should work just fine.
  12. I personally like Sonic and Knuckles + Sonic 3, as it makes sense. Those games were totally meant to be one and can be played together for the full experience... so part of me wishes it'd stay. It'd be more accurate with the Rom hack specification though. Also, crap. We were hoping the delete bug wouldn't rear it's ugly head, @Vlansix was afraid it wasn't gone. X_X
  13. We determined quite a while ago that 8000 items would start to degrade performance, and that has held true for the most part. You're also one of many to report performance loss in this latest Beta, so I have no doubt that Jason is taking a look at it. The latest stable release, 6.12, uses the old format of XML's if I recall, so there actually isn't an easy way at all to go backwards as it's using the LaunchBox.xml and all of the XML's are now split in the Data folder.
  14. It's in the Big Box options under Images. There are check boxes to remove it. There was another thread where someone replaced their images with clear images, and I told them the same thing, the option is right there to hide them.
  15. Actually, that is a unique request, but I am sure the API is available from Microsoft them selves.
  16. It should technically work just fine, as long as it's utilizing Xinput and the driver pops up in LB. Direct Input might also be utilized, but I can't remember.
  17. If you press delete and you have the box checked to remove the file as well (in the options), it asks you if you want to remove from LB, then delete the file. If you say yes then no, you keep the files. Media doesn't get deleted when you remove it from LaunchBox. There is an image cleanup that can take a while in the tools menu. The other media isn't accounted for yet, but Jason wants to get that fixed at some point. Automatic Grouping only happens in a few cases currently. When a game, or in this case a file, is called FF 7 (Disc 1), FF 7 (Disc 2), FF 7 (Disc 3), that will automatically combine. There's a few variations but not all. Most Disc and Disk variations with numbers attached to it work, any of the variations with letters are currently not implemented, nor is the verbiage for side, like Side 1. Everything else needs to manually be done as trying to guess what to group would actually not be a good idea. It's partly the same reason why LaunchBox's image clean up only cleans up images not associated to any games anymore, and because unless it knows it's a duplicate, or in this case unless it knows it's a rom hack or alternate version, then there's nothing it can do with it. That kind of logic is some what hard to do, making such large leaps in logic and having it be accurate.
  18. Battle Mania should actually get added as Trouble Shooter, and if it already exists an alternate name should be set up for it. LB doesn't scrape alternate names yet though.
  19. From Google. Unfortunately it's a very bad idea to re-distribute roms and BIOS', so while it's certainly helpful it can be a bad idea to re-distribute.
  20. If you are determined then there are a few XAML tutorials, written and video, on the site and on our YouTube channel, there is also a XAML sub-forum that you can ask your question at. @CriticalCid is also getting pretty good at it, so I am sure he would be more than happy to help.
  21. That's usually how it happens, the second you ask for help you've figured it out. We've seen it before, so no worries. Glad you got it all sorted! Thanks for posting your fix as well.
  22. I wish our Database was complete, but oh god no. Past that, that is really odd. For the ones on our database, maybe @Vlansix can shed some light on that, but if it's only got an entry being found through EM then that would be @circo's expertise. When you edit a game, and look at the rom attached to the entry, the names still match?
  23. Then I am becoming increasingly more and more confused.
