    I edited mine to point to the chd and it no longer worked then I removed the chd from the path and it does work with pointing just to the folder in my case at least. At that point I don't know why it loaded the USA chd and not the Japanese version but it did.

    what is weird is LB imported that game for me through the fullset importer and created a dummy zip for it so I guess I don't know why it works under one instant and not another. I don't think I ever made a dummy zip for it as I never play it and wasn't aware that it even was a chd only game.

    I wonder if you were to uncheck the use filename without zip option in the emulator settings if it would then work. @Retro808do you have that checkboxes unchecked by any chance?

    to be honest you would most likely have to test it to know as I doubt any other user may know.

    Then go to Tools Download media and metadata and run that make sure in the emumovies section that the videos are checked

    If you enabled it while importing then it should have downloaded them. Navigate to Launchbox\Videos\PlatformName that you imported and see if there are videos there.

    if you don't have the ini then you can't turn them on and by turn them on you change 0 to 1

    Don't know about the glass thing but what you are looking for to skip the initialization is called a no-nag version of MAME there is a guy in the community that uploads one here every month.

    To elaborate LB will match the art with either the ROM name or the game title given to the game in LB.

    Also what parameters are you using to import them as I don't have any of the games except the parents.

    if you edit one of the bootlegs in LB delete the metadata id and scan for metadata again what happens?

    Its not going to go away but if you want a copy of it just copy it from the theme folder and keep it somewhere safe. I don't think LB has a built in method to backup themes (someone correct me if that isn't factual).

    You can get them from PleasureDome they are part of the softwarelist chd set. You don't have to download the whole torrent you can just get the neo geo chd section of the torrent. I already mentioned all this information 5 post up.

    I would suggest just getting the chd files for these. They will definitely work and also be the best value for space on disk.

    does it support CHDs? If so you can download them from Pleasuredome as part of the software list chds you can just download that section assuming your torrent client is setup to allow you to pick what you download before the torrent starts

    I don't use that core or emulate Neo Geo CD through RetroArch so I don't know. I use MAME personally so I can't really help with the nuts and bolts of it. I just know if it doesn't work in RetroArch it won't work in LaunchBox.

    open retroarch load the core then go to core information look for the information and see what the checksum is for he neocdz bios is and make sure that your file matched the check sum if not find a new bios if the bios checks out look into checking out new ROM files

    If it doesn't work in RetroArch then it doesn't matter at all if it is setup correctly in LB it still isn't going to work. When you get it to work in RetroArch then if it doesn't work in LB you will worry about that.

    Also if anyone does decide to take on the work set it up via PM and not in a post that everyone can read please as like Monkus said we officially don't condone people doing that.

    The ini will be created in your MAME folder so go there and see if there is a mame.ini either there or in the ini folder inside of the MAME folder. you have to get the games from a proper source that means Pleasuredome or Archive.org though I suggest PleasueDome as they have the new set every month and archive only gets updated sporadically. If you don't have the proper ROM set you are going to struggle. I doubt you are going to find anyone to set it up for you for money so if you aren't willing to do it yourself then good luck finding someone to do it for you.
