  1. Not sure I'm understanding everything correctly but LaunchBox is only capable of interacting with 2 monitors at present so it wouldn't be able to directly add anything to a 3rd monitor.
  2. yeah I have the most recent version of Demul and I'm using the files from my current MAME set
  3. I just set it up as I hadn't had the AHK in there before and it worked for me no issues.
  4. did you set the key in the LB or BB controller settings?
  5. The only reason I suggested using Alt+F4 is that is the natural key press that the emulator uses and it closes it cleanly I don't no about with using winclose but with the end process command it wouldn't save any changes I made to the emulator when exiting.
  6. yes you will just set that as the key to exit in LB/BB then when you use the pad it will send it just like you were using a keyboard
  7. You should try changing it to the second one in the example above as its a cleaner way to kill the emulator. $Esc:: { WinClose, ahk_exe demul.exe } @JoeViking245or @jayjaywhat would he need to do to change his script to use the escape key but have it send Alt+F4 instead? (sorry to bother your guys but you are the communities AHK gurus)
  8. go to tools manage emulators choose Demul and then go to the autohotkey tab do you have anything written in there?
  9. lol its not an idea so much as the tried and true method of correcting the issue.
  10. Open MAME with a game loaded press tab assuming you have a keyboard handy or a button set as tab. Then go to other controls scroll down to volume and set both up and down to the buttons on your arcade machine.
  11. yeah because if you want it to control MAME you have to set it in MAME it will only work in LaunchBox/BigBox.
  12. When using RetroArch through LB you only use the Libretro emulator cores and you don't really see the RA interface unless you need to edit. So basically you are using the emulation side of RA but not the frontend side.
  13. I just use MAME for SWL emulation and its as easy as adding the command line to the associated platform. I don't even use RA for MAME at all so you know more about the topic than I do at this point. If you want to write the guides then feel free I'm sure the users would appreciate it. The moderators are all volunteers here so I doubt you will see people lining up to undertake that task.
  14. can't say what will be but there isn't and existing option for this.
  15. until a few version ago there were no options so anythings better than nothing.

Bestbuy is extremely overpriced for HDMI cables you can get quality ones for very good prices on Amazon.
  17. That isn't MAME that is Windows that is responsible for changing your controller ids that is the reason MAME add the ability to setup the controller id feature.
  18. The fastest fix I could think of would be just to use MAME and not a derivative beyond that no clue.
  19. as a work around you can just add the the same emulator a 2nd time name it some thing like RetroArch MAME or RA software and then check the boxes you want. this way LB you can use the same emulator but have LB send it different settings.
  20. I think the issue is you can't use any software list systems with those checkboxes checked. Try setting it up like mine and see what results you get
  21. Exactly what Neil is saying any system you have if you can't get it to work through LB your 1st step should always check to see if it works through the emulator alone. Actually you should make sure it works before you even add it to LB and that saves you the step of even trying to figure out what might be wrong in LB.
  22. are you trying to load them in LB or MAME? Do they work in MAME without using LB?
  23. I'm searching for the post with it but no luck. I believe there was also a separate step but I can't remember what it is.
  24. sometime ago a user figured out how to use RA MAME without software list games and he posted what you need to do to get it to work but I can't for the life of me remember who the community member was anyway here is an example of the command line he is using to get it to work. No clue if this will help at all.
