  1. With RetroArch you can actually end up needing to use compression for some systems but not other and you may need to keep two instances of the same emulator in LB to accommodate for both of the settings.
  2. Where did you get that Arcade Classics Logo any chance you could add an image of it here so I can grab a copy.
  3. I have it working in RA using MAME core and I know for that you do need to have matching files named what the software list is looking for but I don't know if there is some command that would change that I tried to get it running for Atari 5200 (and did) but my files weren't zipped (which is an easy fix) but they weren't named correctly either and I quickly grew bored of renaming the files. It would be cool if some one put out a software list rom sets using the proper naming for MAME I know I would download them all just in case MAME ever did become easy to emulate these systems. That or a program that would parse the files and rename them to the software list names would be cool.
  4. Your best bet would be to install LB locally but leave your emulators and ROMs on the NAS I have a few systems setup like that NES being one of them and it works flawlessly when grabbing the games from my Windows Home Server 2011 machine. I know this probably isn't the answer that your looking for but at this time LB is just not optimized to run from a server.

    Big Box Views

If you use the controller support you can just set a button to change it from in the settings and then use your controller I use the right thumb stick to switch between views.
  6. Systems have to be added individually through LaunchBox
  7. I'm using the supermodel.exe without any issues here are my settings Make sure that the box for extracting rom archives is not checked.
  8. Working fine for me with the 360 controller.
  9. These images display what Brad was instructing you to do.
  10. I have an i5 3330 with 8GB and Intel HD 2500 OBG and BigBox performs more than adequately with any view I put on there.
  11. I don't think that reporting problems and saying you don't like how things are working ie performance issues are necessarily what they mean about negativity its more of the attitudes that people display when expressing their problems because they are some times straight up belligerent and rude beyond the point of tolerance and I believe that is the negativity which was being addressed also if I am recalling correctly that by sending him packing he was offered a refund to deal with his unhappiness. This isn't a huge corporation and at this time Jason can choose just not to deal with someones issues if they don't want to be amicable and try to work out the problem without being an asshole about it.
  12. In LaunchBox go to tools then manage emulators this will open a small window from there click on your emulator in question and click edit now a new window will open on this window there will be a few checkboxes look for the one that pertains to unzipping archives and make sure that it isn't checked unlike the mistake in my original post. Also are the games working outside of LaunchBox and are they installed in the default roms folder and if not have you pointed MAMEUIFX towards the proper roms folder in the settings?
  13. Make sure that unzip rom is checked in the manage emulator edit form for MAME.
  14. Some times the work around is all you got.
  15. That's no joke health is vital. I was diagnosed with diabetes in December and since then I've lost 42lbs trying to get my health back. I've been walking everyday for the last week (Yeah some times its just up the street to get 2 2 for 99 cents Green Games to mellow for the day but its better than nothing.) Gotta take care of yourself.
  16. Not to mention if it is an internal 6GB/s or even 3GB/s connection (SATA 3 and 2), then that is still fairly fast. I have my LB on an internal drive and it doesn't take that long to load. Same here
  17. Yeah but the 2 in conjunction is still better than having both your OS and all your files on the same drive.
  18. Sounds like a bad thing that is really a good thing.
  19. Download the wheel art at the Hyper Spin forums.
  20. Still isn't all that fast but I don't have any experience with PC's that old so don't really know how slow they were. I know their specs are like laughable. I helped clean out my GPops attic today and he has a TRaSh 80 up there which I've heard mentioned here before but never saw. One day I'm going to see if it still boots up.
  21. I actually have a license for Actual Tools suite which includes Actual Multiple Monitors which has a ton of features but I'm not sure if it had positioning included or allowed you to specify which monitor to launch applications on. I would have to reinstall it to check.
  22. That sounds cool. Is it free ? Also it would still be nice to see the option get built into LaunchBox regardless?
