  1. I've never really had any issues with WMP except that there was no 4:3 stretching option but since I started using XBMC and then Plex Home Theater I have very little reason to use WMP. Plus when I do just play something from my file explorer I just usually use the new Movies and TV app which does feature aspect ratio settings. The only reason I had removed it was when using Daemon Tools with Sega Saturn files it would load the games and auto run them as audio CDs while at the same time launching SSF. Doing so fixed my issue and the behavior stopped luckly when I re-enabled it today the issue didn't return.
  2. If you get the premium membership does it allows you to download platforms in bulk or do you have to do each game individually.
  3. Its because I disabled Windows Media Player isn't it.
  4. I just added my Emumovie account to LaunchBox and then update a few games but I see that I don't get any videos when I download from there is this normal. Also I then downloaded a video and added it then when I went to BigBox and opened the game I noticed that there was a Stop Video option but no video was showing when I use the stop video option then a still image appears when I hit play video it goes blank again.
  5. Ok I love the idea of multiple Libraries so add it to BitBucket and I'll vote for it.
  6. Click the report issues/feedback link and leave new features requests on Jason's Bitbucket he is requesting this since it is difficult for him to track feature request on two different locations and Bitbucket makes it easier to track issues and people can vote on your request increasing its chances of receiving attention quicker.
  7. Oh I wasn't aware that it led to the Bitbucket repository.
  8. Jason anyway we could add that BitBucket link somewhere easy to access on the top of the site
  9. The rules are there are no rules That and don't tell anyone where the ROMs come from because we all own every single game that we have a copy of HuH what do you mean I don't own 3,000 arcade machines.
  10. OP's question was already answered if we weren't highjacking this thread it would just be sitting here idle anyway.
  11. Subscribed! I liked the trailer video is that your handy work? Edit: I didn't know that channel existed but I've seen 10 out of 15 already.
  12. I want a rack server with 24 bay hotswap myself but can't justify the spending at the moment.
  13. wait we have a YouTube channel.
  14. Currently LaunchBox only scraps from the GamesDB and now EmuMovies but as far as I know they are the only available sources.
  15. If one drive crashes its not a problem as long as you have folder duplication setup this doesn't protect against two drives failing but you can even change the amount of duplication you wish to use. It also has features to enable per folder file placement so if you have a folder say with 29 RAR files you can set that folder to duplicate on the same two drives so all of your files are still together. That said I do have a second server that only has 1x duplication set up (so no duplication) and that has a copy of most of my data (I haven't updated it in a while). I would like to find some good syncing software but haven't really gotten around to doing so yet. Too much time spent fiddling with LaunchBox. @Cadscott I actually forgot that the pool parts are hidden folders I always set Windows Explorer to show hidden folders since I'm a big boy and won't go around breaking stuff (mostly).
  16. I've been using it for a few years and had issues with individual disk but not the software. Its very highly regarded in the home server community. I have 4 MediaSonic ProBox 4 bay drive enclosures these are working good now after I updated the firmware for a while they had issues with the drives disconnecting if you tried to use them over USB 3.0 but since the newer firmware they are solid too. The ProBoxes are only a $100 on Amazon (I use the non-raid version). Program isn't free but has excellent support. If you were to go the multibay drives I'll let you know from my own experience if you crack open an enclosure and disconnect the drive from the enclosures controller card your computer won't recognize the data it will report the drive as RAW. You have to copy all the data to another drive before removing it and then reformat afterwards.
  17. Was thinking about this a little more and was wondering if you could add alt features to the tabs Launcher = alt L Additional Apps = Alt A DOSBox = Alt B ScrummV = Alt S and so on from here. Not a big deal just trying to navigate as quickly and efficiently as possible.
  18. Nathan have you ever heard of StableBit DrivePool if you have 10 externals it maybe a good solution for you. It creates a folder on each drive that is part of a pooled virtual drive all files placed in the folder on any of the drives will become part of the pool and the pool is assigned its own drive letter one of my pools is 18 drives. The good thing about it is the program doesn't do anything weird to your files they are all left in NTFS form and drives can be removed and added to another machine though nothing can be written to your pool if a drive is missing. The software allows you to set up multiple levels of duplicates so if one drive goes down your files will be safe (not so much if two drives go down) If this happens when you add a new drive DrivePool will populate the new drive with the files whose duplicates are missing.
  19. Nice didn't realize you could do it this way much easier than my method. Guess I'm a newbie.
  20. Personally I add the games like they are ROMs and choose an emulator but then when it asks me for the platform I change it to PC then when I go to test the game I go into the edit form click the emulation tab and remove the check in the use emulator box. It isn't optimal but it definitely works. I don't think there is anyway to remove the emulator in a bulk scenario so you will have to remove it from each game before starting.
  21. I'm going to let it run overnight
  22. I just want to warn everyone who maybe an insider on the fast ring and hasn't updated yet that the latest build has a bug where when you copy files there will be no progress bar to allow you to monitor your transfer so basically in my case I just started copying N-R of my PS2 ISO's to a 5TB drive on my new gaming PC and I have no clue how long it is going to take or how I could stop it short of shutting down the computer. I don't know how that got out there but it is a major annoyance for sure.
  23. I like the method I'm using already its easy and quick it does require a slight amount of thought and basic understanding of where you have your stuff stored but not much else to it.
  24. I'm not sure why all I know is that since I am not a programmer I have to take what is offered and do the best I can to get it to work how I want so I'm glad to have a work around that is so easy and as effective as this one is. Here is a link to where you can add feature request and people can up vote them if others are interested in this and vote for it it may receive attention quicker.
  25. Quick question mostly for Brad (because I know you know how to do it) but anyone who knows feel free to answer. How would I set up a relative path to say E:\Emulators\Sega Saturn\ROMs\Clockwork Knights\Clockwork Knights.cue I tried searching for this but found stuff that applies to setting it in development scenarios not for end users so much.
