You can change the path completely even past just the drive the only part you can't change is the file folder for the game (if it is in its own folder) and the name of the game file/files. If you have say D:\Emulators\Sega\Sega Saturn\ROMs you can change it to easily E:\Emulators\Sega Saturn\ROMs as long as the same files are in the ROMs folder and the games have the same folder name and the same .cue and .bin name as the original directory then this will work. I've done it multiple times (kudos to Brad for this because he did turn me on to this method I'm just second hand relaying his knowledge)

Using the find and replace features in Notepd++ make it very easy to change your directories. You just open the LaunchBox.xml file with NP++ put in your old path in the find are then click the replace tab and punch in your new path hit replace all save and everything should be set up where ever you want it.

LaunchBox only Launches your emulators it has no effect on what type of file you use.

Jason I was just wondering about this because I'm doing some editing to a bunch of games and I was wondering if there is a way to skip the tab order to a specific place so I could more quickly navigate the form using only my keyboard. I'd like to be able to quickly jump to the Launcher tab or the additional apps tab not a big deal just curious and trying to save a few key presses.

For another $30 you will be able to convert your existing license to lifetime or for $10 dollars you will be able to renew you subscription each year. As to other front ends charging I know at least GameEx has a registered version and Maximus Arcade (although not mentioned) charges also.

License is for premium version only. There was talk of a life time license recently but it will be more expensive if it is implemented. Even if you don't pay to have additional updates after a year LaunchBox is definitely worth the 20 dollars to have. Remember Jason puts a lot of time and effort into this project time that he deserves to be compensated for. I don't have any issues paying for good software that's why I have a life time PlexPass that I paid $150 dollars for and paid for 8 years of Subsonic at 12 dollars a year. Basically for less than a twenty oz bottle of Pepsi a month you can have LaunchBox with all the latest addon and upgrades every year and help out a developer who for all intents and purposes is a helpful considerate family man who has a passion for developing his software and bringing the world the awesomeness that is LaunchBox. I don't know how he does it because some of the things that people type on here would have me going ballistic in the comment sections if they were writing them to me. The unrealistic sense of entitlement people think they deserve for $20 is borderline insane sometimes.

Awesome review even though some of his facts are a little off like the license isn't forever anymore and I believe that your artwork and videos do need to be named exactly according to the title that LaunchBox is using in order to be recognized.

Success!! The 6th gen CPU's temps are so low I'm idling around 15C which I think is around the same temp I was getting on my other build to. Drive recovery is looking good too found 1.98TB partition.

I have 2 750 TI's one is long with the power connector the other short without the connector swapped them out real quick. The new build turns on and stays on so that's a plus now I have to hook it up to a display and see what we get.

Shit I haven't looked at my server since yesterday. I know when I left for school last night there was about an hour left after EaseUs had been running for 25 hours. On another note when I started out on this build I mistakenly ordered DDR4 and a DDR3 board. I had every intention of returning the other board but I had 16 GB of DDR3, a power supply and a graphic card that I was going to install in a older desktop with an i5 650 (1st gen) I was then going to replace my basement HTPC (Asus laptop) with this older tower. Returning the board would cost me $35 in restocking fees and I would hate to spend the money and get nothing in return plus the Graphics Card would have been wasted on a i5 650 so instead I decided to buy another core i5 6500 and do another build bought this case because I wanted a horizontal tower to sit under my TV and it came with a PSU so I still have another one for the next build (I swear it will be at least 2 years from before I get/build a new PC). I hit one snag though the case won't close on the top because of the graphics card power connector which is so pissing me off right now. I think I have a solution but I hate when the monkeys throw wrenches at my best laid plans.

Actually I misunderstood completely I was thinking for when it scraped the game I guess I should read more closely before posting.

Regrettably no there isn't

Are you keeping the MAME ROMs in their original location or moving them into LaunchBox
-
Did you add the chd if so go into the edit menu for that game and in the Launcher tab hit browse and switch the listed file to the .zip that you want
-
Going With EaseUS I at least know how that works and have used it successfully more times than I would like to remember.

Helped my pop look for a circuit today by holding some test device to a wire while he throw switches on the breaker forgot to shut down my server and now I have a 3TB Raw disk I'm stuck trying to recover so one minute riding high with my new build next crashed to the ground with a disk problem. The data should be duplicated thanks to StableBit DrivePool so in theory I should be able to reformat it and that would be it but I always like to recover it anyway trying a new tool called TestDisk supposedly it will rewrite the partition info quickly I hope usually use EaseUs Data Recovery Wizard but it takes forever.

One of the settings in Dolphin turns this off I'm watching football and don't have dolphin on my laptop so I can't really check right now. I know that it exist though because I always disable it on my PC Edit: Ok in Dolphin go to Configure then to the interface tab and uncheck the confirm on stop checkbox.

I prefer Asus to everything else be it boards, laptops, tablets and desktops (although now with 3 builds under my belt I doubt I will ever buy another desktop). My love of Asus products doesn't come from actually having bad experiences with other brands but just the good experience of the first Asus computer I bought. My brother and I went to Best Buy and told the sales guy we wanted the best computer they had I had never even heard of Asus before that but have been a loyal customer ever since despite their terrible technical support. I've only owned 1 AMD computer and I don't have anything against it I just prefer having Intel

Since the F1 Simulator at Costco was a bit pricey, how about the TL3?
DOS76 replied to CadetStimpy's topic in Monkeys
A different color you say Wow Stimpy I guess beggars can be choosers (All in jest) Sorry about the snow its over 60 here in Jersey (supposedly it going to be a record high of 70 tomorrow) it was so nice that I dined Alfresco on the veranda at a restaurant I like for brunch this morning (Wow that sounds more pretentious than it actually was). Cool little place that was a turn of the century (not this century last one) train station the owners restored it without changing much it's really a beautiful building with out door dinning and nice landscaping had to wrestle with a few bees today who were interested in my tea. On another note for 53k you could buy a pretty nice car then you wouldn't need a simulator. I hate rich people (ok it really just jealously). -
Good running like a dream with the lowest core temps I've ever seen. It was nice because I just swapped drives from another computer so no hassle installing Windows I had to install Dolphin and PCSX2 since the drive came from a box with a Pentium G630 and no graphics card so I didn't bother to install them on the previous PC. I love being able to just swap drives between machines it is a really nice feature that came with Windows 8 that no one ever seems to credits. Also got my other box up and running with my Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials drive with very little hassle. For some reason the NIC isn't working but I added a USB 3.0 to Ethernet adapter and everything is working good there too. Upgraded the drivers but the NIC still isn't working don't know what the problem is I added both chipset for the board and LAN but still no luck guess I'm stuck with the adapter until I figure it out. I'm going to install Arkham Knight on there tonight and see how it looks I have it running on my i7 with GeForce GTX 960 and it looks amazing! Play that and then launch an Atari game and be totally blown away by how far this thing called gaming has progressed in my lifetime

Agreed but sometimes you have to work with what you got at the moment.

It sounds like you could already do some of these by using the additional apps feature. You could easily set up any game to run LEDBlinky.exe and tick the run before main application box same with the LEDBlinky.exe4 and tick run after the main application box. It also sounds like if you wanted to play Pac-Man or any other game that used the 4way Joystick that you would just add ultramap.exe 4ways.ugc as an additional app to run before and then set it to run the 8 way config after you close out any 4way game. The ones that you want to automatically run when LaunchBox starts wouldn't work the same way. The LEDBlinky thing would be a pain in the ass though because you would have to do for every game. The joystick one would be very doable though (in theory). I'm hoping that Jason will add a way to add global additional apps which would allow you to set settings for either all games or a set of selected games at one time.

I actually only booted it up so far its in the living room and I won't be able to play with it until later tonight. I'm a loser who lives with his parent (actually they are my room mates because I do pay bills around here) so I can't just take over their space that's my brothers job. Once my pop goes to bed though I will be testing it out.

Sorry Jason I'm not sure what this means.
