It's probably nested one to many levels

Have you tried opening the exe from within the folder and are you running an Antivirus program that is all of a sudden quarantining it

Quick Google search for Movie Plugin Launchbox and this was the top result

So does regular LB open in both of these installs?

Do you have the right core LB defaults to the Mednafen core not the mednafen hw core so if you only have the hw core and you haven't edited it in the dropdown menu that will cause issues

Glad I could fix your problem it has been fairly common in the latest version of UI for a few months now.

In MAME UI is your ini file in the ini folder if so that has been known to cause issues with LB copy or move your ini into the root folder with the exe

yeah you should change it in the RA associated platform settings to match your platform not the other way around. If you changed the name from what you imported as and you refresh images for that platform you probably won't have any media.

You don't need to add it it is already present

yeah that is the global setting so if you set it there it applies to the whole emulator

It looks like it is already using the command. That line is for specified configurations and stuff like that.

the drop down is to the left you have to click on it to get the drop down to show.

what version of LB are you using with 8.3 and maybe even 8.2 you don't type in the command line any longer for a specific platform you select if from a drop down menu. As to why you have to match the platform name its because it has to know what name to use if the associated platform has the wrong platform name when you are using your platform it won't associate them with each other hence the name platform association.

So did you get it working or not

What is your platform named in LB and what is the platform named in the associated platform tab for Retroarch if you edit the emulator from Manage emulators. Do they match?

Okay so you can either separate the games into their own folder and add them as a platform or you can go to where they are in your existing LB library and right click them and add them to a Playlist named Tenchnos

I sort of didn't clarify when you do the new install I meant for you to do it in a new location not over the old one. Hope I didn't create any confusion.

And if it does turn out to be a bigger issue and won't update you could try doing a clean install and then just copying your new exe files into your old build. I would suggest either renaming or backing up your old exe files in case it doesn't work though just to be safe.

Next Wednesday MAME 0.199 comes out so you may just want to wait a few days until then to download the roms but totally up to you. Onto the images LB is only downloading what you tell it to and since it was changed to support more than one cover image due to people insisting on that feature to accommodate games with different covers from different regions that is just something that happens unfortunately. How did LB delete your Arcade games by the way as I see you've said that in the last few post and did you check the backup folder to see if there was a copy of your Arcade.xml to restore them from.

well say if you still wanted to use your control for it you could actually edit the code to be alt+f4 instead of escape but if removing it does the job for you than glad you got it all sorted out
