After you import you games you can edit your Arcade platform and point the folders to the MAME Extras appropriate paths if you wish to use them instead but you can't use both paths you could always move the extra folders into the appropriate LB folder and then just change the folder path in the MAME.ini file so it also uses your LB folders.

A Dutch user brought this up yesterday (maybe the day before that) and I tagged Jason into the post so he should at least be aware of it at this point.

I wouldn't think that sharing scache folders would break any rules also if you guys wanted to discuss and do it through PMs who would even know but like I said I don't think sharing them is an issue to begin with.

I mean if that was all you changed I don't know why it would break it.

Think he means this but it is redundant with that button in the bottom corner that whole menu has been removed (which I use so much that I didn't realize it was missing until mentioned here)

If you add MAME games to LB it should combine clones with parents in the right click menu. Don't know how well it works in all cases at the present moment but when MAME is updated hopefully when Next gets finished (depending how it is updated) hopefully it will be able to easily use that data to do so.

Can probably edit the retroarch core options file in notepad++ too. See line 108

There is a post on this forums somewhere from recently that tells you how to do this but I can't remember what the solution is or the name of the post so you may want to try and search around that or just use the MAME roms for Demul like mostly everyone else does

I think the export feature has been removed from main stream LB and if so then no it will not be making it into Next.

Not everyone has a xbox whether its easy to mod or not XBox emulation is definitely important and I would love to see it finally come along but yeah its still a long way off. All emulation is important to preservation because eventually all hardware will cease functioning and if there are no viable emulators when that happens the games will be gone forever which equals bad in my opinion.

I don't know if Jason is aware of this as you are the 1st person to mention it. Hopefully he might be able to add some insight on it. @Jason Carr? I know he is away on vacation this week and is without WiFi for a lot of the day so maybe don't expect a reply right away.

lol yeah I guess that works also never noticed that there just got used to doing it the other way from back in the Windows 7 days before Explorer had a ribbon.

If you open file explorer in Windows you can click on views Then navigate over to options and click the little drop down arrow (which is hard to see in dark file explorer) and this will open the options to change folder settings This will open the folder options form where you will want to click on the view tab Then from there go down and uncheck the hide known file extension types then you can always see all of your file extensions even when they are associated with a program.

Look you are all free to do what you want I just know that that is what I have seen the developer of the program say in other threads on this forum when people were running into issues. Use it how you want and if you don't run into problems then great if you do you will already know to turn it off.

It's been know to cause permission issues with other programs that work in conjunction with LB unless they also have admin level access also

Running LB or BB as admin is not at all suggested or considered a good idea.
