  1. I'm more than a little concerned that hosting full soundtracks would attract the attention of copyright holders, as well as use a fair amount of bandwidth. @Jason Carr, are you okay with that?
  2. Sorry, I should have elaborated on that. There is ALSO an entry called "Sonic 3 & Knuckles", which is the correct title of the combined games according to Sega. The other entry is a duplicate of that with the name I listed. I completely agree with you on the validity of that game. For what it's worth, the percentage of deletions with issues is still much lower than its ever been, I'm just making sure nothing slips through the cracks.
  3. I believe Photoshop will also allow you to use the "paint bucket" with transparency as you would a color. That's worked for me in the past.
  4. Just had a few games not stay deleted: Abarenbou Tengu for the NES, 3DSCraft for the 3DS, DSCraft for DS, Sonic & Knuckles + Sonic the Hedgehog 3 for Genesis had approved deletion requests, but are still there. Also, had a request to add an alternate name to 3-D WorldRunner for the NES get approved, but the alternate name wasn't added ("The 3-D Battles of WorldRunner".) In addition, a Fan Box Front for Mr. President! for Windows was approved for deletion, but is still there. Bubble Bobble Plus! for Nintendo Wii had a deletion for this Box Front be ignored. Sorry for the big list of problems.
  5. These all look as great as usual! Let me know when the latest zip goes up, I'll do my usual thing and upload them /create new entries as needed. I've been busy going through the full catalog of WiiWare, I need a break ☺️
  6. Lol sorry if that sounded a little paranoid; I'm instinctively wary about my privacy on the Internet, but I should know better around you guys.
  7. I don't want my gameplay statistics being uploaded, even anonymously. I hope that doesn't become a "feature".
  8. I've been rejecting any change of platform requests from Arcade to Naomi for the same reasons. I don't think the Naomi platform is necessary in the database (among a couple of redundant ones), and just causes confusion by being there.
  9. I'm stuck with the same issue on a "James Bond: Spy Who Loved Me" New Game Submission for the Atari ST.
  10. Core i7 doesn't really mean anything anymore, unless you know exactly which version it is. The "Core i7" has been a processor line since 2008.
  11. Let me know when the next pack is ready, I'll do the usual thing.
  12. Okay, well you're just plain wrong on Atari 2600. I imported a nearly complete a few months ago with nearly no missing games. Are you sure your ROMs don't have a special character ( ~ or ^, something like that) in the title that might be throwing off scraping? I seem to recall one of the popular 2600 ROM collections having that issue. Even then, if you edit the game in LaunchBox it should find it through manual searching. And why would they implement the Alpha version of an API when it is subject to change constantly, break without warning, or be shut down with no notice? We had a similar problem with thegamesdb.net, which used to be our scraper until it randomly went offline completely and broke most of LaunchBox's scraping functionality. It seems you've already made up your mind, which is a shame, because if you were actually interested in "making life easier for everyone", you'd help out and start adding any missing games to the database. That is unless by "easier for everyone" you just mean "fix this for me because I demand it."
  13. 60%? What systems are you using? Most games (except for some PC games) should be in the LaunchBox Games DB by now. And don't you think it's a little rude to insist that the developers drop everything and give MobyGames the "highest priority now"? A lot of us are working, and have been working, and will continue working tirelessly to make the LaunchBox Games DB as complete a resource as possible. If you'd like to contribute to that database instead of complain about your situation, I think you'll find it a much more productive use of your time. And we would certainly appreciate the help.
  14. I think we should definitely add a Steam Banner category; I've never been sure how to categorize them before, as they're not a traditional "banner" image, which is usually a think horizontal stripe, but they're not technically Box Art either, even though they are official images provided for games on Steam, which fits my definition of Box Art. @Vlansix! @Jason Carr! Thoughts? And these look QUITE nice, @FoxyMonty. If we get the category, I'd gladly help upload them to the DB. Before I used LaunchBox as my primary games launcher, I was heavily into the Steam Grid custom image scene, regularly visiting the /r/steamgrid subreddit and the steambanners.booru site, so I love seeing some good blurred grid images!
  15. Good find! I picked one up a couple years back when they were selling some excess stock on eBay, it's a great stick; my only problem with it was that I had to open it up when I got it and tweak one of the connectors on the left stick, because it otherwise wasn't properly detecting downward motion on it. Thankfully, it comes with a guide to adjusting sensitivity, so the process was pretty painless overall. Other than that, the thing looks and feels basically indestructible, and I look forward to using it for decades.

We have a subreddit? TIL. I usually just post on /r/emulation anyway, but I'll subscribe to the LaunchBox one as well.
  17. @damageinc86 The problem I have with those boxes is the same problem I have with the Windows boxes that EmuMovies hosts; I really don't like an artificial glossy sheen on the game's artwork.
  18. I can confirm, the deletion bug has returned. I submitted request for THIS and THIS to be deleted (duplicates of existing NES games), the moderations were approved, and yet they remain.
  19. Nintendo 64 Virtual Console Custom Platform logo View File So @SentaiBrad just posted his tutorial here on N64 Virtual Console emulation through Dolphin, which is a pretty fun trick to use. I've been doing it myself for a few months now, and had put together a barebones (but, I think, not bad) logo for the custom Nintendo 64 Virtual Console platform that I made (because otherwise it looked weird in BigBox to have just one platform without a logo.) Since he posted the tutorial, I figure other people might want to try this, so I've posted the logo I hastily Shopped together. It's in a .zip file because you can't upload .png files for some reason (?), only .jpg images. Whatever. This is my first time contributing a file this way, usually I'm just adding stuff behind the scenes to the DB, so sorry for the rambling intro. Anywho, I hope you enjoy it! 21. I'd say as long as @Vlansix or @Jason Carr aren't worried about non numerical values in that field doing anything funky to the database, accept the entries for now. It's why the one of the rejection buttons is for "too much" bad data; it's a shame to lose a good entry because of a technicality. Maybe make a note of which entries have this issue, and fix them later?
  22. Lol believe me, I'm aware of who I'm doing this for. Before the count was reset with the latest update to the DB, I had over 10,000 contributions to the database and roughly 50,000 moderations. Not that it's a contest (which I came in second place on when it happened.) Point is, thanks for doing this. Indie games don't get as much love as other big releases, so this is nice to see. I tried to find (and was able to for 90%) some clear logos as well for the games being added; it's nice to have everything looking uniform.
