  1. Hello and welcome! Launchbox doesn't have any direct interaction with/control over the emulators themselves (with the slight exception of DOSBox) so I'm not exactly sure what purpose this would serve within that context. I don't doubt that there's a lot of crossover between the two products - they're both complimentary for the purpose of emulation Launchbox is, when you get right down to it, essentially a shortcut-launcher. It's a collection of shortcuts with images and metadata, that directs X file (rom) to Y file (emulator) and passes additional command-line parameters if you so choose. Emulators still have to be setup/configured individually (including any controller configuration), that's not something Launchbox controls at all. I think the Bliss Box is a cool product for sure, but I think this might be a little bit outside the purview of Launchbox. It's entirely possible I'm missing something though. Maybe some of the Bliss Box users you mentioned can chime in.
  2. In pretty sure there is a way, but I'm not sure. I know you can set themes on a per-platform basis so I'd assume you could do something similar with music. It's not something I've messed with though. Personally, I have all my video's set to mute and use them as background music across the board.
  3. You'll need them in mp3 form and then add them to your Music > Background folder. You can use something like 4k Video Downloader to download/convert from YouTube.
  4. There are some games that haven't been converted to WHDLoad format, yes. I couldn't give you a number, and it's going to change (get smaller) over time anyway. WHDLoad will cover the vast majority of games that you're likely to be interested in, but it's not 100% coverage. About 98% of my games are WHDLoad, occasionally I'll come across something that looks neat that doesn't have a WHDLoad version and I'll add it in. It's pretty few and far between for me though.
  5. WHDLoad games are never more than one disk, that's kindof the point (well, part of it anyway). As far as ADF, that's covered in the ADF portion of the tutorial. If it's one you need to create a config for, you create one as I show in that section and then you'll import the config like I show in the import custom config section. If it's one that has a built-in config you export the UUID for that config and then import that into LB just like any other UUID.
  6. There's no need to actually rename any of your game titles. This is what the sort title function is for. Edit a game, then go to the "Other tab". The title can remain whatever you want but it'll be sorted by whatever you put into the sort title field.
  7. Yeah, I would try that and see how it goes. Mine's at 3.5, but that's just stock. As I said, when it comes to emulation, your CPU performance is generally more important than GPU. Most emulators aren't all that GPU-intensive. With PCSX2, dropping the scaling can improve performance if the GPU is creating a bottleneck, but with a 1060 that's not going to be the case (that's better than what I have).
  8. You can try switching to GL, which may or may not help. Beyond that, I dunno what to tell you. I'm still gonna say it's your CPU.
  9. With a 1060, your bottleneck is not your videocard. All my configs are made with a GTX 780, which is basically a 960, and I'm at 100% all the time. I have a 4770k though, so I'm gonna go ahead and say it's your CPU that's the problem. My suggestion would be to use the config and then make the downward adjustments like I suggest in the opening post until you're at 100%. Generally speaking a lot of the more demanding emulators are more CPU-intensive than GPU-intensive, partly because they're generally single-threaded.
  10. Yep. It's pretty good. I like it more than Shadow of the Comet personally. Like I said in the review, most of the time when something is directly adapted from Lovecraft's writings to film/game it ends up being disappointing because it probably won't measure up to our own imagination. The best use of Lovecraftian ideas in my experience is when the same storytelling techniques and the same sort of atmosphere are employed without copying anything specific beat for beat, and I think Daughter of Serpents is a good example of that.
  11. Daughter of Serpents (and the CD version / talkie remake: "The Scroll") has now been added to Zomb's Lair.
  12. So I was about to work on some new configs and decided that I would update to the latest dev build. They've changed a number of things in the newest version, including the formatting for Texture Offsets (which were previously referred to as TC Offset), the result of this is that the configs I had created that featured a TC Offset weren't pulling that information through in newer builds because of the different format. I went back through and corrected this wherever relevant (32 games total). The good news is that the new format is actually new lines in the config, so I simply added the lines necessary while keeping the old ones there - so even if you're still using an older PCSX2 build it should still work. TC Offset is used to fix alignment issues on a number of things - it can fix misaligned fog/glow effects (like in Kuon) and fix lines in text/sprites. The 32 games on the spreadsheet that have "TC Offset X:# TC Offset Y:#" in the video hacks column are such cases. I'm not using the very latest build because a couple weeks ago they removed MSAA support (because they broke it) and apparently they're working on replacing it with FSAA. It still works fine in a slightly older build though, which I'm going to attach below to make it simpler for people. This one's from December 2018. Whenever they fix/replace MSAA I'll be updating and then reworking any configs where appropriate. pcsx2-v1.5.0-dev-2711-g8307cfc54-windows-x86.7z
  13. Those are all on my to-do list. Jak 2 is pretty broken though, no matter what you do. It's on the spreadsheet in the broken list at the bottom.
  14. Not sure what to tell you there. I just updated to 9.3 and it's still working here.
  15. This is sound advice in general, but I can tell you that for PCSX2, specifically, their compatibility wiki is notoriously inaccurate and/or out of date. It's not entirely without merit, but it's by no means reliable.
  16. I didn't get to see the question, but based on the response I'm assuming you were asking how you get 3.1 games to boot on startup.
  17. The Space Bar has now been added to Zomb's Lair.
  18. Discworld has now been added to Zomb's Lair.
  19. Using build-in configs for any format - WHDLoad, adf, or otherwise - needs to be directed to the UUID. That's how it knows which game and which config to use. The same instructions I show for FS-UAE UUID games apply.
  20. You have to send Jason all your SNES roms otherwise you won't be able to access your computer again.
  21. You save in-game however the game allows you to save the game. It's like asking "How do you save in PC games?" I'm not sure what sort of answer you're expecting. Some games give you the option to save your progress. Some don't. They are not save states any more than they are when you step into a [insert shiny thing] in a SNES game and save your game. It's not an "issue" to have two Amiga emulator entries any more than it is to have standalone SNES9x and Retroarch for SNES games. You can set one as default (if you want, you don't actually need to) and then choose whichever one you need while importing depending on whether you're importing UUIDs or configs. Importing UUIDs? Choose the UUID one in the import wizard. Importing configs? Choose the one that doesn't say UUIDs. It's not any more complicated than that. If by two "instances" you mean two completely separate copies of FS-UAE on your computer, then no you don't. If you mean separate emulator entries, then yes you do. They're both directed at the same file, but use different checkboxes.
  22. The defaults that it selects are normally right, honestly. I know that Jason used a dat file from somewhere that listed the install/game .exes to be used for each game. It doesn't cover 100% of them, of course, but it covers a lot of ground. If you look in the Metadata.xml these are listed as "StartupFile" and "SetupFile". I agree that a selection box for the installer probably should be in the import wizard though, just like the game .exe is currently.
  23. Oh for sure! That's half the fun... for weird people like us Most people don't want to do that though, honestly. Typically most people want to just dump stuff in and treat it like a "rom". You can put in a feature request on Bitbucket just don't expect something like that to be implemented anytime soon. There are literally thousands of requests and Jason's just one dude.
