Bye bye.

Works well and easy to do. Another method but involves a few extra steps was to create a shortcut file to cmd.exe and set it to Run: Minimized in the Shortcut tab of the properties of the shortcut. Then in the Associated Platforms command line paramters put /c. I like your method better

Tone your attitude down. You do not have a post history here so we don't know you from some random jerk posting links to potentially malicious .dll files.
-
It might, but you also may have to adjust the emulator locations with Launchbox. But then if you take the external drive to another PC it should be fine. Not sure if it defaults to it. I don't think so, my emulators and roms are all stored outside of my Launchbox folder.
-
It shouldn't have made changes to the Launchbox folder but I guess it is possible.
-
Ok well you could just setup everything on your main PC and if your emulators and roms are stored somewhere within a sub folder of the Launchbox install folder you can then just copy that Launchbox folder over to your HPTC. It will work as long as you have the pre-requisite Visual C++ and .NET files installed on the HPTC.
-
BigBox does not need an internet connection to work at all. It is possible that copying over files won't work especially if your emulators and rom paths are not correct. Are you storing your emulators and roms locally on the HTPC ? Or are you running them off of a network drive ?

I just wanted to say something here to the community in regards to user reviews of user created themes. If you are going to post a review, especially a lower than average one please post a constructive criticism explaining why you don't like the theme. A simple "I don't like it" or "I couldn't get it to work" is not sufficient. At the same time if you don't agree with a review please do not report reviews you do not agree as trolls with even if it is "I don't like it" or "I couldn't get it to work". You can simply click "No" on the "Did you find this review helpful ?" box. People will see that review is worthless and ignore it.If someone is truly being a douche about a review then yes by all means report it and I or someone else will remove it and warn the reviewer for bad behavior. Otherwise I will not be removing reviews just because someone "doesn't like or agree with the review"

Oh you sexy hunk of man meat. Thank you.

I'm sure it's something many people won't notice or be bothered by but as someone who spends quite a bit of time every day checking things I find it really obnoxious on the eyes.

@Jason Carr please please please get rid of the outline in the dark theme, it's really distracting. Or recolour it to match the blue at the top of the forums.

Glad it worked out for you.

The simplest way is to create a .m3u file which Retroarch uses as a playlist file and you import that into Launchbox. Simply open up notepad and put the names of each .ce file in it, one disk on each line and make sure they are named correctly. Save this file in the same folder as your disk images. Here is an example of mine for Final Fantasy IX: Final Fantasy IX (USA) (Disc 1) (v1.0).cue Final Fantasy IX (USA) (Disc 2) (v1.0).cue Final Fantasy IX (USA) (Disc 3) (v1.0).cue Final Fantasy IX (USA) (Disc 4) (v1.0).cue In Retroarch you can manage the disks using the quick menu. Another way is to combine your disks into a single .pbp file using the tool PSX2PSPv1.4.2 but this does not work for every game, there is a small selection of games that for whatever reason Retroarch does not like this for.

Having Trouble with Launchbox and Dolphin/Gamecube on retroarch?
Lordmonkus replied to LeeXiuLong's topic in Noobs
If your Retroarch setup is loading games outside of Launchbox it should load them just fine within Launchbox as well as long as your settings are correct. Your Associated Platform and Command Line Parameters look to be correct. I have not bothered to get the Dolphin core up and running yet since I still view it as early work in progress and does not do the job as good as the stand alone yet. I will try it out when it matures a bit and hopefully catches up. -
Having Trouble with Launchbox and Dolphin/Gamecube on retroarch?
Lordmonkus replied to LeeXiuLong's topic in Noobs
It's probably not scanning into Retroarch because there is either no database for it to check it CRC against or your disk image doesn't match the one in the database if there is one. As for loading the game through Launchbox it is most likely a command line parameter error or associated platform mistake. -
Retroarch for arcade games with launchbox
Lordmonkus replied to TheClassicalGod's topic in Troubleshooting
None that I am aware of but since the light guns are detected and treated as mice it would just be a matter of enabling the mouse for lightgun games in the core. -
It should start up using the last one you used.

Retroarch for arcade games with launchbox
Lordmonkus replied to TheClassicalGod's topic in Troubleshooting
Depends on the core, I know the GenesisGX core does and you can enable the mouse for light gun games in the core options. I cannot say for sure for other cores, you would have to check them -
Very strange. I have my HTPC hooked up through my home theater receiver and I can switch sources without issues at all. Not sure why changing HDMI source would have an effect on your controllers though since those are USB (most likely).
-
That would be an interesting idea if it were possible, I have no idea if it is or isn't obviously. I do know though that certain monitors can be upgraded with a kit that you can install inside the monitor to make it G-Sync.
-
Ahh, cool.
-
Yeah you may have to do that. It's a game I actually have and ripped my own disk image for. Yeah the cores are still mednafen.
-
Game compatibility should be the same for both version but of course there could be that one odd ball that doesn't wanna co-operate. I never had issues with Guardian Heroes in either though. Glad you got the issue sorted out though.
-
It is possible you may have to set the system folder in Options > Directory. I have seen on occasion for whatever reason you have to set it manually because RA is not looking in the \system folder.
-
Yes, the bios for the RA core is the same as the stand alone. Load the core and then view information for it and see if it is detecting and likes your bios. It is possible that the name could be correct but the CRC of it doesn't match and it doesn't like it.
