  1. Nothing that I am aware of, I think that's just the way OpenBoR is unfortunately. Maybe someone else might know a workaround, I don't play many OpenBoR games.
  2. Just edit each game individually, you can set each game to run a selected emulator from the dropdown list. Or if are using Retroarch and don't want to have a separate install but want to use a different core, example: Snes9x or Bsnes. Just use a custom command line for that specific game to use the core you want.
  3. Yup, people are gonna be pirates, nothing can be done about it without inconveniencing legitimate users at the same time. This has been discussed many times before and the approach@Jason Carrtakes is the same as CD Projekt Red and GoG games. I removed the link, no need in helping people being douches.
  4. Does Nestopia need a sound command parameter to load a rom using the command line ?
  5. What kind of script ? No script needed for FBA to work in Launchbox. Setup FBA as an emulator in LB, import your roms like you would for Mame and make sure your settings in FBA itself are setup correctly. Make sure all the platforms you wish to use FBA for are in the Associated Platforms tab and named correctly. Turn on switch to full screen and set your full screen resolution to match your displays resolution. Here are some pics of the settings I used to get it working. I also do not use stand alone FBA at all, I prefer Mame or the Retraorch FBA core.
  6. I just always update it when asked, always works for me.
  7. Hmm, I could have sworn that when I tried to use the Download Wwith NMM link and my NMM wasn't up to date it made me update. I could be wrong though.
  8. You will need to update NMM if you want to use the Download With NMM links on the Nexus.
  9. Elder Scrolls Online is currently running a pretty good sale right now, plus a 5 day free trial on Steam. Gonna be checking this out since I avoided it at launch and heard pretty good things about it since the botched launch. http://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/home
  10. I think it defaults to the system when you set up the controls. It did for me at least for the systems I do use in Mess.
  11. Before asking for help please read this post: Also here is a quick list of guides and tutorials, feel free to message me or post in that thread if you know of any guides that should be added.
  12. Tested out the games I have using the stand alone Snes9x version 1.54 and for the most part it's fairly good. Not as good as BSnes at the moment but for a first (or close to first) release with support at all it's a good step. Notable issues were with Megaman X and X2 having really horrible static and sound clipping. Donkey Kong Country 2 had no audio at all and Super Turrican had sound sound crackle but not anywhere as bad as MMX and MMX2.
  13. So this is now a thing with Snes9x, it now supports MSU-1 patched roms. You can either get the latest build off EmuCR or update the Retroarch Snes9x core. I used the core with no year in the name of it, didn't try ones with a year. Load up the patched rom file itself for Ancient Stone Tablets and it works perfectly, well at least the first bit works perfectly, will need more testing. Going to try other games.
  14. As far as importing roms is concerned Brad as tutorials covering the vast majority of systems. Since you are talking about an arcade cabinet I will assume you are talking about arcade games and using Mame and Brad has covered that. I have also done a written tutorial on setting up Mame if you want to take a look at it.
  15. Could you be more specific about the problems you are having ? Details help.
  16. Key mapping is going to be setup in the emulator for the most part along with some extras in Launchbox.
  17. Yeah the Nexus server was getting hammered hard when trying to download using NMM. But downloading outside the NMM and importing it worked just fine during that time. Things seem to be settled down a bit now that the initial feeding frenzy is over.
  18. SKSE is coming along with SkyUI and MCM. behippos post on it https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/4979480-skse/page-15#entry44489330
  19. The BSnes-Mercury cores do not require the special chip rom dumps, you have the core option to HLE emulate these chips. You can use these chip dumps if you choose to though. http://wiki.libretro.com/index.php?title=Bsnes-mercury BSnes will give you higher accuracy and the ability to play MSU-1 patched roms.
  20. Everyone should at least have the Unofficial Patch, after that it's just personal preference. I found the base game just too bland and generic to play for longer periods so I need mods to make it more fun. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/266/?
  21. This is obviously a very subjective opinion but my thoughts on it are this (just my personal thoughts). The MSX, ZX Spectrum and Apple aren't really all that compelling to emulate, they are very primitive and difficult to get into playing the games on them. I also never had or played on any of these systems growing up so I have no attachment to them at all. The Amiga however is very much worth emulating and there are some very well done guides on the forums. @Zombeaverdid an amazing video tutorial you should look at. One Japanese computer worth checking out is the X68000, lot's of great games and near arcade perfect ports on it. It was basically the PC that Japanese game developers used to make many of the games we played back in the day. I have done a written tutorial guide on emulating this system using MESS.
  22. Mod Organizer from what I have read isn't really working properly yet, but it is the better mod manager. I was using it to mod vanilla Skyrim, it's much better at managing more complicated mod lists that have a lot of overlap. Also from what I have read, the author of MO is teamed up with the NMM guys now so that may eliminate MO all together. Yeah ELFX was awesome, I used that with ELE for vanilla. Hopefully it gets ported soon but for now I will be using RLO, it has come along really nicely since the vanilla version.
