  1. Oh I see, you meant LaunchBox and not BigBox. No, I don’t think this is currently possible.
  2. Actually it's exactly what it does. It depends on theme and the chosen view if the default background behavoir is enabled or not. You said that you use a theme which uses a background video for the platform, if that's the case than you would have to manually replace the whole background code in the theme itself. If you switch to the default theme everything should look as you expect it.
  3. Your assumptions are completely right. If you open your RetroFresh folder, have you various subfolders in it which are called “Views”, “Styles”, etc, or is there just a single folder which is also called “RetroFresh”? If the latter is the case than you have to move everything from this subfolder to the main RetroFresh folder.
  4. If you speak of the devil… I just saw this thread pop-up over at the HyperSpin forums. Maybe it is helpful for all of you guys. http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forums/topic/30288-game-hacks-collection/ Nevertheless, I just did a quick record of the provided Unified System Theme. Full credit go to Jumpman311, Aorin and Wertredgreen for it! Game Hacks.mp4
  5. My offer is still on the table. If you guys provide me all the needed source files I'll build you a unified theme video for this platform.
  6. I just experience a very strange issue. I deactivated everything in the “Box Front Priorities” except the Steam Banners to test it again. Then I refreshed the image cache but nothing has changed because LB loaded the Box - Front images instead of the Steam Banners. Same thing happens if I manually delete the Cache folder or prioritize any other image type over the Box - Front images. After testing that, I have removed the whole “Box – Front” folder from the image folder of my WIndows platform and refreshed the cache again. Now it shows me only the “Fanart - Box – Front” images. The folders are set correctly and it only happens for Steam games, all other platforms are working fine as you would expect it. My guess is that LB ignores my custom image priorities for Steam games and only uses the default priority settings for it. EDIT: I just saw that the Steam Banners are activated for the Box Front Priorities by default as well. So it seems that for whatever reason LB only takes image types with "Box - Front" in the name into account for Steam games.
  7. I'll just quote myself regarding that Steam banner issue.
  8. Yes, exactly like that. CLRmamepro will know what files it needs from each folder/update pack. So you can update everything all at once without any problems.
  9. CLRmamepro searches every folder you have added to the "Add-Paths" section for the right files to rebuild your set. So it doesn't matter if they are in the same folder or not but you could run into file conflicts when a ROM file with the same name occurs twice and you want to copy/move everything in just one folder (which is most likely to happen considering how many update packs you'll need). So it's definitely better to keep all update packs and your current full 0.161 set in their own seperate folders to avoid any potential problems.

    Theme music?

You can place any music files you want to use as background music into the "LaunchBox\Music\Background" folder. If the "Background" folder doesn't exist you may have to manually create it first. You also have to enable the background music in the Big Box Sound options to make the music play. Hope that helps
  11. Exactly the same way. I cover this scenario at point 2 and 12 of my tutorial. But you will probably have a hard time to find all the 20 update packs from 161 to 181. In this case I would personally recommend to just re-download a full 181 set, that should be easier.
  12. 1. The wheel in the Horizontal Wheel Views is ignoring the override image type which is set up for it in the theme code, this happens for all filters except the “Platforms” filter. As you can see in the video, it’s using the boxes instead of the clear logos in the “All games” filter. That also happens for other filters like “Genre”. 2. If you navigate to the “All games” filter it shows sometimes the metadata and video for a different game than the one which is actually selected. That also happens sometimes if you change the view in that filter. You can see that behavior at 0:31 in the video. I don’t know if that occurs in any other filter as well because I only have seen it in the “All Games” filter. 3. Sometimes when you change the view it happens that the first few games are losing their cover and are totally blank. You can see that also happening at 0:31
  13. Woah, 500 is indeed a huge milestone!@Aurel @madfox @davyfreeman I just want to say thanks to you guys for all your work and congrats for reaching that goal, it’s so much appreciated! And of course I also want to thank @FistyDollars as well for uploading all of these to the database It would be great if you could upload them all to the database. This is the best way to get them to all LB users out there If it’s too much work for you to do this all alone you can still upload them as a package here in the forums or download section and ask if somebody is willing to help you a little with it.
  14. You are talking about Nested Filters. It is indeed very high on @Jason Carr to-do list and I hope he will working on it very soon. @shadowblind Unfortunately that’s not possible at the moment. Maybe worth a feature request ticket on BitBucket
  15. Hey @Antropus first I have to say just thank you for improving and updating your awesome importer. It is so much appreciated! I just tested your tool on a fresh LaunchBox installation and the import worked quite fine for me (only tested Arcade games so far though) but I noticed some issues: 1. All the notes are starting with an empty line. That is not so much a problem in LaunchBox itself but in BigBox it can look quite ugly and out of place depending on the Theme. 2. Older versions of LightSpeed have parsed the day and month for each game but your current build only imports the year. 3. Some custom fields don’t get imported properly. Only very few games have the Sub-Genre info and some fields like “Added on MAME version” and “Extra Info” are completely missing.
  16. I’ve explained it in another thread how I have centered the platform videos in my theme. I hope that’s helping. If you have any questions about it feel free to ask
  17. @RetroHumanoid made some arcade compatible Top 50 videos for a couple of platforms. You may want to check them out as well.
  18. Doing that automatically is currently not possible, unfortunately. But there’s a feature request ticket for that on BitBucket. You can vote for it so that it becomes a higher priority for Jason to add it into LaunchBox. https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/2251/games-without-theme-videos
  19. You can do this by changing the image priorities for the background in LaunchBox @AeronNL @Machello Unfortunately is BigBox already quite resource hungry compared to other FE’s and my theme adds 2 1080p videos which are getting played simultaneously on top of that. I can say that it’s also very sluggish on my older Notebook with an Intel i5-2520M @ 2,5Ghz, a Nvidia GT 555M, 8GB RAM and running on a SSD. The only thing to improve the performance would probably be to get rid off of the whole background video and replace it either with the default backgrounds or a custom static image.
  20. If I remember correctly than was @cammelspit the one with this huge collection. His data folder was also used as reference when Jason worked on performance improvements for huge collections a couple weeks ago.
  21. I just updated my Steam games in LaunchBox with my newly bought games and it seems that the image priorities feature somehow got broken for Steam games. Only all the Box - Front folders seem to work. Image categories like Steam Banner or Screenshots are getting completely ignored. It works fine for all of my other imported systems though.
  22. @Riffman81 I'm taking care of MS-DOS, I already did over 100 of them.
  23. They also offer their .dat files with additional parent/clone info in xml format. I guess these files would be more useful and easier to handle for what you have in mind. For whatever reason they decided to use all the European versions as parents but in combinatation with the clone and region tags you could probably build a pretty solid region priorities filter. This could also be useful at the games import process
  24. @Jason Carr your best option to get a complete No-Intro files list is to just use their official .dat files. They also include CRC and other hash values. http://datomatic.no-intro.org/?page=download
