Oh, forgive me. I just read your post again and I understood you wrong. I thought you were talking about the new views and that you would want bigger boxes for them... Yes, that’s possible. Here you go: CriticalZone 1.7 - Boxes on the bottom.zip- 627 replies

It would be possible but it wouldn’t look any good. If I would make the boxes bigger then there would be less room for the video/info and that would lead to a huge amount of ugly blank space between those elements. The alternative for that would be to split the info in 2 columns and that is already covered in the CoverFlowWithDetails View.- 627 replies

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly but you only need to create one profile which is based on your 0.181 MAME.exe The folder paths for your ROMs and Update Packs are getting added in Step 10 to 13. -

Sure, I just uploaded a version of CriticalZone which uses for all views the default fanart images instead of the animated video as background.- 627 replies

The 2 new views are only allowing 2D Boxes. I had to make some compromises because they are using a modified version of a Wheel instead of CoverFlow. So unfortunately, you have the use the similar looking View with the Clear Logos instead for Arcade games. I hope that this won’t be a problem anymore once @Jason Carr adds different views for each platform in the future.

CriticalZone 1.7 released! Your current version will automatically get updated if you update your LaunchBox installation to the newest beta version v7.6 Beta-3. CZ 1.7 features 2 completely new games Views and a lot of performance improvements! If the theme or certain Views of it were lagging for you in the past give it another try and see if the theme now performance smoother for you CriticalZone Changelog: v1.7 - LB v7.6 (01/26/2017) - Added: Two new “Horizontal Wheel” views for games were added. - Fixed: Various performance improvements. - Removed the DropShadow effects for all details and description texts - Replaced almost all "SelectedGame" properties with the newly added "ActiveGame" properties - Changed the RenderBias of all elements from "Quality" to "Performance" - Optimized the "VisibleCount" value of the CoverFlow element in all Wheel Views - Updated: The margin between all metadata logos (ESRB, Favorite, etc.) is now unified across all Views. - Updated: The glass bar in the “Vertical Wheel Games View 2” was made slightly bigger; it now takes roughly a third of the whole screen width. I did a few modifactions to the Horizontal Wheel 3. It now features more game details, larger info icons and the description box is now the same size as the details box. I would like to ask you which version do you prefer more: Old: New: Yes, it will be included in one of the next LaunchBox betas. I will inform you when it’s released. Eventually, I just didn’t come up with new ideas for new vertical views yet. If you have something particular in your mind than go ahead and tell me about it, if I like the idea I will consider to create it Sorry to hear that. May I ask you what specs your PC has? You’re right, that doesn’t work. It seems that you have to restart your PC first in order to see the scale changes in BigBox. BigBox just took my old value of 100% instead of the newly set 150% when I was testing it earlier. So I tested it again and after I had restarted my PC was BigBox set to 150% as well… I will add a modified version of this particular view for 150% in the next update.- 627 replies

Thanks guys, I'm really happy that you guys like Horizontal Wheel 3 so much! That beast took me quite a few hours until everything was set in place so great to know that it was worth it @Machello have you tried the performance boost tips I mention in point V of the download description?- 627 replies

I spent almost the complete day on working on two complete new views for CriticalZone. An updated version of my theme will probably be released sometime next week and include those new views. In the meantime I just drop some preview screenshots here for you, tell me what you think Horizontal Weel View 2: Horizontal Weel View 3 (fans of minimal desgin will hate it):- 627 replies

XAML is very similar to HTML and other markup languages but nonetheless it works slightly different than HTML. I highly recommend you to watch the whole XAML tutorial series that Jason did, that should clarify a lot for you: -

Yes, this would be the issue. Your resolution is simply too small to keep the correct proportions for the theme but you can fix this by manually tweaking the font sizes in the theme code yourself. 1. Go into the theme folder of your LaunchBox installation. 2. Make a copy of the “CriticalZone” folder. 3. Open the copied folder and go to the “Views” folder 4. Open the “Wheel2GamesView.xaml” file with a text editor of your choice (I recommend Notepad++) 5. Go to line 72 and search for FontSize="28". Reduce the value of the FontSize a little. 6. Go to line 83 and to the same with the FontSize in this one. 7. Save the file. 8. Open BigBox and change the theme in the options to your newly copied one. You may have to test out a few font sizes until you have found the best one for you. I hope that helps you. If you got any questions about that, feel free to ask- 627 replies

Do you guys use a different display scaling value than 100%? This theme is only designed for 100%, any other setting will cause that the text is way too big.- 627 replies

Oh I see, you meant LaunchBox and not BigBox. No, I don’t think this is currently possible.
-
Actually it's exactly what it does. It depends on theme and the chosen view if the default background behavoir is enabled or not. You said that you use a theme which uses a background video for the platform, if that's the case than you would have to manually replace the whole background code in the theme itself. If you switch to the default theme everything should look as you expect it.

Your assumptions are completely right. If you open your RetroFresh folder, have you various subfolders in it which are called “Views”, “Styles”, etc, or is there just a single folder which is also called “RetroFresh”? If the latter is the case than you have to move everything from this subfolder to the main RetroFresh folder.

If you speak of the devil… I just saw this thread pop-up over at the HyperSpin forums. Maybe it is helpful for all of you guys. http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forums/topic/30288-game-hacks-collection/ Nevertheless, I just did a quick record of the provided Unified System Theme. Full credit go to Jumpman311, Aorin and Wertredgreen for it! Game Hacks.mp4

My offer is still on the table. If you guys provide me all the needed source files I'll build you a unified theme video for this platform.
