  1. Hey @Antropus first I have to say just thank you for improving and updating your awesome importer. It is so much appreciated! I just tested your tool on a fresh LaunchBox installation and the import worked quite fine for me (only tested Arcade games so far though) but I noticed some issues: 1. All the notes are starting with an empty line. That is not so much a problem in LaunchBox itself but in BigBox it can look quite ugly and out of place depending on the Theme. 2. Older versions of LightSpeed have parsed the day and month for each game but your current build only imports the year. 3. Some custom fields don’t get imported properly. Only very few games have the Sub-Genre info and some fields like “Added on MAME version” and “Extra Info” are completely missing.
  2. I’ve explained it in another thread how I have centered the platform videos in my theme. I hope that’s helping. If you have any questions about it feel free to ask
  3. @RetroHumanoid made some arcade compatible Top 50 videos for a couple of platforms. You may want to check them out as well.
  4. Doing that automatically is currently not possible, unfortunately. But there’s a feature request ticket for that on BitBucket. You can vote for it so that it becomes a higher priority for Jason to add it into LaunchBox. https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/2251/games-without-theme-videos
  5. You can do this by changing the image priorities for the background in LaunchBox @AeronNL @Machello Unfortunately is BigBox already quite resource hungry compared to other FE’s and my theme adds 2 1080p videos which are getting played simultaneously on top of that. I can say that it’s also very sluggish on my older Notebook with an Intel i5-2520M @ 2,5Ghz, a Nvidia GT 555M, 8GB RAM and running on a SSD. The only thing to improve the performance would probably be to get rid off of the whole background video and replace it either with the default backgrounds or a custom static image.
  6. If I remember correctly than was @cammelspit the one with this huge collection. His data folder was also used as reference when Jason worked on performance improvements for huge collections a couple weeks ago.
  7. I just updated my Steam games in LaunchBox with my newly bought games and it seems that the image priorities feature somehow got broken for Steam games. Only all the Box - Front folders seem to work. Image categories like Steam Banner or Screenshots are getting completely ignored. It works fine for all of my other imported systems though.
  8. @Riffman81 I'm taking care of MS-DOS, I already did over 100 of them.
  9. They also offer their .dat files with additional parent/clone info in xml format. I guess these files would be more useful and easier to handle for what you have in mind. For whatever reason they decided to use all the European versions as parents but in combinatation with the clone and region tags you could probably build a pretty solid region priorities filter. This could also be useful at the games import process
  10. @Jason Carr your best option to get a complete No-Intro files list is to just use their official .dat files. They also include CRC and other hash values. http://datomatic.no-intro.org/?page=download
  11. Have you tried to change the platforms view? Not every view supports the custom background video. Go to your BigBox options -> Views and change the platform view to another one. Hope that helps.
  12. Not at the moment, no. But it’s a good idea though, I would aprecciate it if could you create a BitBucket ticket for this
  13. No, LaunchBox doesn't support HyperSpin themes and probably never will. So unfortunately you have to download my video version of them from EmuMovies.
  14. Have you tried to change the platforms view? Not every view supports platform videos. Go to your BigBox options -> Views and change the platform view to another one. Hope that helps.
  15. Yes, you need to be an EmuMovies premium member in order to get them. LaunchBox should download them automatically when you import your arcade games for the first time but if you already have imported your arcade games and want to download the theme videos (or upgrade to the 1080 versions) follow these steps: - Open LaunchBox, go to your Arcade Platform(s) and select all your games with CTRL+A. - Than go to Tools -> Download Metadata and Images. - Click through the wizard and deselect all media types except "Video - Theme" on the EmuMovies media dialog. - Choose "Yes, but do not replace any existing fields" and let LB download all available themes for you.
  16. Quick update for you guys: The 1080p versions are coming now directly within the LaunchBox downloader as well, so you don’t have to worry anymore to get them through the EmuMovies FTP. If you are still using the old non-HD version and you want to upgrade, I would recommend to just delete all the Theme videos you already have and re-download them through LaunchBox again.
  17. I just realized that I completely forgot to tell you guys when there was a new update for my theme. As CriticalZone now comes directly with LaunchBox you won’t have to update the theme manually anymore because it gets updated automatically with every new LaunchBox update as well. So if you still use v1.3 I highly advise you to switch to the build-in LaunchBox version (the one without a number in its name). The current version which comes with LaunchBox is 1.6: CriticalZone Changelog: v1.6 - LB v7.4 (12/26/2016) - Fixed: Background videos weren't stretched properly with the new VideoControl method. v1.5 - LB v7.1 (12/21/2016) - Updated: The background videos are now using the newly added VideoControl element. It should boost up the performance when you are using VLC as video playback engine quite a bit. v1.4 - LB v7.0 (12/14/2016) - CriticalZone is now included with every LaunchBox v7.0+ installation. - Removed: The version number in the CriticalZone Theme folder was removed. - Removed: The ReadMe file was removed because it was quite outdated and isn't necessary anymore. - Fixed: Background videos for games are now forced disabled in the theme settings. It caused to not show the game videos in the 2 new recently added views when it was activated. v1.3 (12/02/2016): - Added: 2 new Game Views. Both were designed to take full advantage of the newly added Game Theme Videos. You have to use LB v7.0 Beta-16 or higher in order to use them! - Updated: The ReadMe file now contains information’s for downloading and using Game Theme Videos. v1.2 (11/07/2016): - Fixed: The alphanumeric navigation was invisible in the Games Wheel view. - Updated: Changed the word "Overview" in to "Description" as this term sounds more fitting to me. v1.1 (11/06/2016): - Fixed: New version of the background video as the old one caused to not loop properly on some machines - Fixed: Custom Clear Logos for platforms weren't shown properly - Updated: The ReadMe file was updated once again. Now with more information's on how to improve the performance of Big Box for this theme. - Added: changelog.txt file in the theme folder v1.0.1 (11/04/2016): - Updated: Restructered and updated the ReadMe file. No changes on the theme itself. v1.0 (11/03/2016): - Initial release

  19. I don’t know if you already have the HyperSpin artwork packages for the Famicom made by Ray572 but I will leave the links for it here just in case you haven’t: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forums/topic/13438-nintendo-famicom-box-art-2d/ http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forums/topic/13615-nintendo-famicom-wheel-art/ http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forums/topic/13635-nintendo-famicom-cart-art-2d/ He also uploaded over 800 video snaps on the EmuMovies FTP under: /Upload Here/_Video Snap Submissions/Ray572/Nintendo Famicom/Video
  20. @Sithel @eatkinola That was just recently added with LB v7.0 but I guess @Jason Carr either hasn’t come around to add that to the documentation or has simply forgot it. To enable ESRB icons support you have to add this code over your Canvas first: <UserControl.Resources> <bigBox:ImageToSourceConverter x:Key="ImageToSourceConverter" x:Name="ImageToSourceConverter"/> </UserControl.Resources> And to actually use it you in your theme you need this line: <Image Name="RatingImage" Source="{Binding Path=SelectedGame.RatingImage, Converter={StaticResource ImageToSourceConverter}}" RenderOptions.BitmapScalingMode="HighQuality" />
  21. The names of some Views in BigBox have been changed with the 7.0 update, so most them were set to the standard text ones because BigBox can’t find them anymore under their old name. But that can be fixed really quick. Just go into your BigBox Options -> “Views” and change the platform View from TextList to one of the Wheel ones.
  22. Hey @crack__19, the user @billyc999 is currently building an Aeon Nox theme for BigBox. So you may want to take a look at that
  23. Yes, the view in your screenshot doesn't feature any platform videos. Try the Views "Platform Wheel 2,3 or 4".
  24. Are you sure that LaunchBox has already downloaded them? If you have a complete MAME set you it will need to download over 1900 videos with almost 30GB in size. I doubt that LB has downloaded them all this fast. Be sure to download only “Videos - Theme” and nothing else. You can check if you have them downloaded by going into the Videos folder of your LaunchBox installation. Then navigate to the folder of your Arcade platform and check if there’s a “Theme” sub-folder in it. This sub-folder should contain all the theme videos you have.
