  1. IYeah, I've had both Neo Geo/Mame working from LaunchBox before though, so it's not a romset or bios issue. It works in RetroArch if I launch them from within RetroArch. I am only having an issue within the last two weeks trying to launch Neo Geo/Mame games from LaunchBox only. Nothing was changed other than LaunchBox being updated. I'm assuming an beta update broke something because my setup has been working fine up until a couple weeks ago, now LaunchBox is the only issue.
  2. Hmmmm.... I'm still having the same issue, Neo Geo/MAME games don't work, but NES and SNES games work. I don't have any special characters in my name or anything like that. Everything worked perfectly about a week ago, but now arcade games don't work from Launchbox. Launching through RetroArch works the way it always had though.
  3. I went to try this and now I can't run Neo Geo games from LaunchBox either. Something defiantly got messed up during an update or something, because it was working perfectly before and I can run the games from inside RetroArch fine too.
  4. This looks great!!!! Thanks man, One of the cleanest custom themes I've seen.
  5. Awesome! Thank you, This is the reason why this community is thriving, quick responses and people who genuinely help out instead of saying "it took me hours to learn this, figure it out yourself!"
  6. After using some of the amazing themes here, I want to try my hand at creating some themes, I've got some great ideas, but I unfortunately don't have any clue on where to start. Do you guys have any guides or anything like that to help me start out?
  7. A clock would be rad, but I wish there was some way to add a timer that started whenever you started a game, then when you ended it, that it would pop up and say how much time you played, or at least like how steam has it and has it where it tells you how much time you've played that title in its entirety.
  8. Anyway you could zip this up so we don't have to download 142 separate files? Anyways, awesome job, this is nice and clean looking, simple is so much nicer than the other cluttered videos that I've seen for platforms
  9. Great idea! I always loved the idea of fade screens. I'm a fan of clean and simple though. I don't like how people grab the first image of a character related to that system, and throw it in there, it always looks gaudy. I'd like to see some nice clean setup with the system name and the console with the name of the game being launched. I don't need some picture of Bowser or Mario in the New Wii U format pointing at me or whatever. I see so much stuff that this community puts out and it's incredible, but it always comes out with bad designs and stuff, so I never want to use any of it. Simple and clean and minimalist goes a long way. Anyways, that's just me, these would be incredible to have, keep up the awesome work!
  10. Yeah, I have a emumovies lifetime account. I just find some of their stuff lacking. like for Capcom Play System II, they don't have any clear logos at all. and when you do download their media, every game is in it's own folder and it takes hours to sort things out properly. I'm going through LaunchBox and just editing them individually and searching for images... its just insanely tedious.
  11. So I've been having an issue with getting my setup looking like most everyone else's. I see all these videos on the forums, and everyone has all the clear logos for all the games in the arcade section. I've imported all my roms into Arcade (2,805 is the amount of games I have in my set) and then when I go to download the images it has a lot boxes missing, then I turn on Big Box and a lot of the clear images are missing too. Where are you guys finding all the clear logos and stuff? Does anyone have a link to them or can zip up the images folder or something like that?
  12. Wow, this is RAD!!! Thank you so much. I still can't believe they don't have a all in one updater in Retroarch... Kinda seems like a no brainer
  13. I've been experiencing some extreme slowness for launching LaunchBox/BigBox, or it's always been that way and now looking at other people's videos, it seems really slow compared to theirs. it normally takes about 20 seconds or so from launching the application. Is this normal? Also I know that because I have a full set of Arcade ROMs and full sets of consoles (NES, SNES, and such it takes a while to get all the images together, but it feels like it's way worse than it should be. My modded Xbox from 2002 runs through the list a billion times faster than Launchbox does at caching the images. I have the setting in Launchbox to use the full amount of cache available, but it still takes around 5-10 seconds to load up a system and then scrolling through games is still really really rough. Anyone have any advice or am I just stuck? I feel like everyone else's videos and stuff look crazy fast compared to mine. A i5-4690/GTX 970 with 16GB of RAM and installed on a 250GB SSD doesn't seem that it should be this slow.
  14. Is there a download all at once? I only see a way to download each file individually, and I really don't have the time to download 300+ files individually.
  15. I've been making a little headway on this but still am stumped on some things I want to play NeoGeo games on RetroArch, and use the UniBios to change Region/Arcade to AES and also enable cheats. As it stands right now, I can get it working somewhat. I have RetroArch using the "fba_libretro.dll" core and I can load games, but it is using an older version of UniBios (2.3 to be exact) I have the newest available version of UniBios 3.2 and it's also enabled in the settings of the core as well. If I start up a game, it'll load, load into the UniBios but it is 2.3 and always have Europe/Arcade as the setting. Even if I change these, it gets reset when I close it out and play a new game or even the same game. So what I would like to know is. 1. Is the fba_libretro.dll the core I should be using? (called "Final Burn Alpha - SVN" in RetroArch) Or Should I use another one? 2. How can I get my UniBios to be 3.2 instead of the older 2.3? 3. How can I save my UniBios settings?
  16. Bonoscot said ahhh ok ill look into it.. Yeah i have about 9TB of Hard drive space near filled....Im willing tu share artwork if people need it Some Artwork would be great if you are willing to share! Thanks!
  17. If anyone is ever looking for a gamepad mapper software, I've tried them all over the years, Pinnicle was great about 5 years ago, a couple years ago, Xpadder was king.... but man, nothing compares to Controller Companion. Spend the $3 and save yourself the trouble. It has Steam Workshop support, making it a breeze to grab a pre-made config for most popular games.
  18. about a week ago I had an issue where Launchbox was constantly scrolling through the game systems without any input of my own. It started crashing and not responding either. Then I decided to just start from scratch for various reasons. For the last week, I've been pretty busy, but I've imported about 22 systems and all games, everything seemed to be running fine, but now I come back to it and LaunchBox responds super slow (like clock on a system and wait about 30 seconds before it responds and updates) or it just completely stops responding. I know this isn't normal, and I'm trying to troubleshoot what the possible issue could be, but since it's a entirely new build and I have less games imported than the install that worked before, I am wondering what the issue could be. Any ideas? PC Specs: Windows 10 Nvidia GTX 970
  19. OK, I thought I did remove the games first (just a simple select all and delete) then deleted the platform. I readded the platform, but LB did not re-add the platform in the platform list on the left. I restarted and re-added the games allowing dupilcates when importing games and everything came up perfectly. Thank you!
  20. So I had Launchbox totally working with pretty much everything I wanted. I noticed that my NES library was missing some games so I just removed the platform and downloaded a new perfect ROMset and imported. Now it won't import games at all. I go through the correct process of importing, the games all come up in the import list, scans, and then comes up saying "0 games successfully imported" I've triend .7z files, .zip files, .nes files.... nothing is importing at all. I pulled out a old romset and out of 781 games it imported about 28 of them. Any idea what is going wrong?
  21. What are some of the games that aren't working for you? Also what romset are you using?
  22. Sega Genesis P.S. I'm watching your tutorials on youtube.... Thank you, finally someone who explains something clear and concise and to the point, instead of making tons of mistakes and having wrong information.
  23. Thanks, I do try and keep mostly US games with very few Japanese or European games unless they are really good. Wikipedia doesn't have an actual number for games, it just has a list, it's weird. I totally forgot about the "quotations" when searching, that will definitely help.
  24. After playing around with LaunchBox for about 5 minutes and then purchasing premium, I've been trying to import my games. I've got the newest No-Intro set (from about 5 days ago), but what bothers me is the fact that they have European,Japanese,Prototypes and other versions of games all thrown in there too. Is there a way you guys sort out these games with a program or something? I'm wanting to get a full US set, but I don't want to scroll through 900+ games to delete some random protoypes or something. Also is there a site that actually lists a number of released games for each region and each system? If I google How many US games for X system, Its pretty hard to get a simple number.
