  1. I could probably throw something together for Ocarina of Time Master Quest. Isn't that title already in the HyperList N64 ROM set with art? I was actually referring to Goddess of Wisdom and Parallel Worlds 10th Anniversary Edition on the SNES but I'll look into getting OOT up as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks! I plan to do more as I add them to my own setup. I'm OCD when it come to having proper art for all of my games so when push comes to shove, I'll make it if I can find good, hi-res quality images to work with. Got some Zelda related titles on deck... stay tuned! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. HyperSpin's download section has always been kind to me most of everything I use for my setup has either come from HS or EmuMovies. I believe now EmuMovies and HS essentially share the same server when downloading media through the EmuMovies Sync utility. I also use HyperList ROM sets as they are the "cleanest" in my opinion and have no dupes like the No-Intro sets or hacks and other junk like the "GoodSets" The HyperList sets uses a naming convention based similar to No-Intro but with out all the redundant extra tags like revision numbers (Rev 1) and language tags (En, Fr,) etc. Making for a nice, clean set. Using HyperList sets, I've found that I get more correct media and hardly have to go looking for things as most of the media uses the HyperList naming convention. I've learned that using sets that follow a different naming schematic that downloaders often miss things and result in me having to hunt for them manually. No-Intro sets are great for someone looking for a truly complete set with all regions and revisions of a ROM, but sometimes the long file names with all the different tags can throw an automatic download off and the end result is missing media. Just take a look at the No-Intro GBA set and you'll see what I mean... the file names are insanely long. HyperList sets in short cut out the majority of clutter while still giving a relatively complete set. I see your mainly referring to Arcade sets/media but just wanted to shed some light on getting media for other platforms as well. MAME stuff is a bit tricky due to the fact that with each new MAME release, ROM sets change and may throw off downloading media as sometimes they change ROM names. Therefore the media isn't going to match the current set, at least not right away. Maintaining media for Arcade sets, especially MAME is an ongoing process. Hope I've been of some help to you. 4. Thanks! Glad you like it. I haven't had a chance to play much of it yet, truthfully I just played enough to capture segments for the video. I just finished Super Metroid: Eris and really enjoyed it. I did the box art for Eris as well as Super Metroid: Ice Metal Uninstall. I'm probably going to do themes for both of those as well so if you haven't played them, do check them out. Eris is actually my favorite hack so far and worth your time. 8. Excuse the double post, I just updated the Legend of Link (NES) media pack to include the Video Theme for anyone who has that hack in their collection. It's in my files in the DL section.
  9. I've always been a fan of the ROM hacking scene. Worked on a few hacks myself back in the day (as well as beta testing quite a lot of them) and to me, hacks/mods help give new, fresh experiences for older games and consoles so I'm definitely a fan of anything that helps keep those older platforms alive and kicking! Working on finishing up themes for NES and them I'll be moving on to N64, Genesis, etc.
  10. Thanks! Going to be working on the Castlevania and Zelda games here soon so be on the lookout for those. Will also be doing some more NES hacks while working on recording HyperSpin game themes. Recording these themes are my main focus at the moment but I will be giving ROM hacks/mods and fan-made PC titles some love as well! Glad to see they will be used
  11. I just released a media pack for Hyper Metroid if anyone is interested in using it. Plan on doing more of these soon if there is any interest. Done a few already that can be found in the downloads.

  14. Either way, glad you guys were able to find them. For future reference, the user folders on the HyperSpin FTP are in: Unsorted Submissions>Themes>Presort I know DR has a folder in there as well as tons of others so it might not hurt to look around a bit in there and see what else can be found Sorry I was so late with getting back to you guys. Pulling double shifts the past 2 days at work.
  15. I'm at work at the moment so I can't get on the FTP. I'm pretty sure it's in a folder inside another folder in Unsorted Submissions. I don't remember which one exactly, but I remember it being near the top of the listing. If you guys haven't found it by the time I get home from work today, I'll jump on and see if I can. If nothing else, I have the set but I'd have to get DR's permission to share it here, although I'm sure he'd be ok with that. As I said, I'm quite sure he uploaded it to the EmuMovies downloads as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Pretty sure that set is in the EmuMovies download section. It's what I'm currently using. Last I saw it was also in his folder on the HyperSpin FTP if you have access to that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. Just a quick update for everyone on the progress of the recorded HyperSpin themes for consoles and handhelds. Originally I had only planned to do the SNES and move on. However, SNES is done, as well as Game Boy Advance, Game Boy, and Game Boy Color (the Game Boy platforms are really lacking in themes. I Was only able to find a few for each). I'm now plowing through the 200+ NES themes (hoping to find more not in the downloads on HS) and then I'll move on to N64 Genesis, etc. I'm thinking my goal is to do all the console and handheld platforms and maybe someone else can jump in and do the PC and other Computer platforms. I've also included a lot of the NES and SNES themes I've made over the years as well, some of which I never posted anywhere like the Mega Man 2 theme shown in the screen shots. Not sure when Circo will get to finalizing these or making them public, but he knows that they are there and more will follow shortly. Thanks to @CriticalCid for his tutorial/notes on setting up HyperSpin for this purpose as I no longer have my old HS setup, so I had to build a setup specifically for this project. I also would like to point out that I may have 'goofed' on a few of the early SNES videos I recorded prior to talking with Cid and reading his notes. Nothing major but some of the videos may have left over transition effects from HS showing in the video. I went through the set and re-recorded the ones I did early on to remove the unwanted transitions but I can't promise I got them all. If I missed any when these are released I will redo them ASAP. These really do look great in BigBox so thanks to all the theme creators out there who made these and thanks to HyperSpin for sharing and allowing us over here at LB the chance to use these in our setups
  22. Sounds exciting! Will this work like the HyperSpin XML's? What I mean is, will our ROM names have to match what's in the pr-built lists exactly in order to show in LB? Also, if a game isn't in the "list" will it have to be added in order to import into LB? This was one of the things that turned me off about HS. There are many different ROM sets out there and having to exactly match a database to me is kind of silly. My sets are mostly using the HyperList naming convention, and HyperList is more or less a spin on the no-intro naming convention, but without language tags, revisions, etc. I say, if you're going to use No-Intro, follow the naming convention exactly and use their databases that are readily available on the No-Intro site. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk EDIT: Haha! I totally misread your post @Jason Carr Disregard my questions.
  23. Not a problem! I'd like to get all of the HyperSpin themes recorded and out for everyone to enjoy within the next few weeks or at the most the next few months. As I said, NES is on deck right now and I'm about half way through. SNES and GBA are done unless I find more alternate themes or new themes are uploaded. I'm doing the best I can to keep track of themes so if new themes are made for games that currently do not have a theme, I'll be updating and adding them as I go along. I notice that the handhelds and even the Sega Genesis are really lacking in themes so those platforms could really use some love. I plan on making a dedicated thread here on the forums soon for HyperSpin themes and the platforms that are currently being worked on and/or done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I'm in the process of doing SNES and GameBoy Advance, and actually those are all done and just waiting for Circo to approve them for release. I'm working on NES now, and then I'll be making my way through Genesis, N64, etc. Rest assured that they are on the way Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. As DOS76 said, bezels/overlays are handled by RocketLauncher or the emulator(s) (depending on if the emulator has bezel support or not as not all emulators support bezels). LaunchBox doesn't have anything to do with bezels. Primarily, you would use either RocketLauncher or RetroArch for all of your bezel needs. MAME also has support for bezels. In my setup, I use RetroArch. It's quite easy to setup and you can use one bezel for all games across all platforms. Not sure about using them on a per-game basis in RetroArch, but MAME works that way and I believe RocketLauncher can do that as well. I don't use RL anymore and haven't since my HyperSpin days, but I'm sure there are others here that do and will help you get going if you decide to go with RL. As for finding the bezels, I believe we have a pack of 100+ right here in the download section. Also, I believe EmuMovies and the HyperSpin sites host them as well. Setting up a bezel in RetroArch is just a matter of going to your overlay settings and pointing to the bezel you wish to use. Both RL and RetroArch come with a handful of bezels to get you started, although I believe in RetroArch you have to download them using the built in update function.
