Thanks, these look great but where do they go? I created playlists for all my consoles but they are no where to be found in the launchbox folder structure. Launchbox only creates a folder if within launchbox I select each category/genre and click edit. Do i have to do that for every singe one?

Does anyone know how to go about setting up up the Magnavox Odyssey in Launchbox? As far as I know there are 12 rom files but something like 33 games. How do you go about setting up individual games?

If I create playlists for collections, genres and so on, and later add new rom sets or games, do the playlists update automatically with the new games added or do I need to add all the systems I want first and then create playlists so the new games get included?

I have the same issue and not with just Mame. The thing is I can see the artwork in the GamesDB but Launchbox for some reason doesn't download it. For this reason, I have kept my Hyperspin setup just so I can get all the artwork and check I have complete rom sets before importing everything into Launchbox. It still fails to import a few mostly due to differences in the name of the games between Hyperspin and Launchbox so it requires a bit of labour. Not sure what causes Launchbox not to import the artwork from the DB. I mentioned it a few months ago, but didn't get much help about it either.

No you can't. You have 2 options here: 1. You can have a static image with no video at all. just place the image in the video platforms folder and delete the video for that platform. 2. If you want a video playing inside the tv frame, you need to create a video of the whole thing. You can use Adobe Premier and import your static image and then import the video and place it inside the frame. then save the video of the whole thing.

Makes sense, however, as someone who created some of the box packs and wheels for hyperspin/emumovies and are now being used by launchbox in it's database, I can tell you that a lot of the box art work is recreated. Systems like the NES, SNES, Genesis, 32X, Virtual boy, Gameboy sets and so one have a lot of recreated covers. I did some of them myself. Even some of the flyers for systems like Naomi, Atomiswave and AAE have some I made up because they didn't exist. We make it look as accurate as we can and no one ever notices it. So what now? What's real and what's not?

So why not just add those boxes to Box-Front like all the other boxes? Why keep it separate? Aside from the Fanart Backgrounds, I have no use for any of the fanart or reconstructed folders.

Thanks GiantTitan and Kindorito. This is great! We can now customize our sets with these great logos and make them all uniform. Been using these since day one. By far the best logos out there.

Thanks! At this point it would probably be easier to remove the text from the original logos, and try to fix them up and fill in the gaps so can start using whatever text we want over them and move forward from there. If we're going to try and make this type of text for everything, it will probably take way longer.

This is really weird but everything seems to be working again today. I have no idea what happened. Spent all of last night trying to fix the issue with playlists with no luck. Restored the themes from my backup today and everything seems fine so far. Really strange.

How do you fix the Arcade Genres? It always goes back to the main arcade border and artwork instead of using the arcade border to match the genre. The above fix does not work for Arcade games, at least I couldn't make it work. Will have to wait for Retrohumanoid to fix this.

Does this happen with you create a custom playlist as well?

Aren't life sims and Construction/management games almost the same thing? And what is vehicle simulation? Flight sims, space sim and racing games are completely different genres and should have their own category. I would say Music and Party should be one category as well. Not enough of either to warrant a separate category for each. Do people categorize their games as sandbox? Never heard that one before.

I'm a bit confused with the Triforce F-Zero AX game. The rom file is clearly called F-Zero AX (1.4GB) but once you start the game, the game is actually called F-Zero GX. It works fine and it's really smooth but once I start a race, the sound starts skipping once in a while. Is this normal? I've played with the settings and nothing seems to fix it. Also, what is the difference between Mario Kart GP and GP2? They look exactly the same except one has yellow coins and the other has red coins. Are there any other Triforce games that are fully playable at this point? I've seen people claim that Virtua Striker 4 is playable but I couldn't get it to run with Dolphin Triforce. It crashes on the main menu when selecting a team.

So is it better to stick with Win-UAE?

These are great. Is there a photoshop template for the cds? I've been making cds for my PC games but this template looks a lot nicer than the one i've been using.

I would love to see how you organize your games. I'm not sure what to do with these videos. I see the arcade one for example, but there's a different arcade one with pacman in it from your other set of platform videos. How do you organize your menus and which videos go where? I'm sure it all makes sense in the end.
