  1. Mame is only 60GB + 40GB of CHD files. Only a few games require CHD files to run so you don't need to download the full thing. The full thing is for people with actual cabinets that need a complete hard drive image (CHD). However if you want other consoles and systems, you will probably need 15TB to cover everything up to and including the PS2. The PS2 collection alone is 4TB. I have no idea what the complete WII and WIIU collections will take up and the PS3 is now being emulated as well. If you want those you'll need quite a lot more.

Is there a way to update and older set? I have version 2.0. I don't want to download 400GB all over again.
  3. Thanks. I saw your other post on how to convert an auto playlist to a manual one. I started doing that for the systems that are complete and won't have any new games added to them. Seem to be helping. Still quite a few more systems to go. This should improve things.
  4. So what's the solution? Should I create playlists manually? Would that make a difference? There must be a workaround. I can't be the only one with this issue. 1.5min is a long time to wait for any program to start up.
  5. Does anyone experience slow loading times with Launchbox or Bigbox? Mine has been taking almost a minute and a half to load. Is this normal? It used to take about 30 seconds until I started adding some playlists. Currently I only have the auto generated playlists for Arcade, Consoles and Computers but I have 76 systems setup so there are quite a few playlists. I'm also using RetroHumanoid's Retrified theme. Why would playlists slowdown the startup by a whole minute? Is there an easy way to remove the playlists temporarily (and re-add them later on) without messing my whole setup? This would be just for testing purposes only.
  6. If I follow the video tutorial, will I be able to use it with Rocketlauncher as well? To get FS-UAE, Launchbox and Rocketlauncher to work together, I had to rename all my WHDLoad amiga files to reflect the actual name of the game and them import them into Launchbox. I had not seen the video tutorial when I did that. If I follow this tutorial, will everything work with Rocketlauncher? Do any additional steps need to be taken?
  7. When it comes to genres, I'm assuming that you only get the genre background and video border when you set them up as a playlist in the main menu, correct? When you setup genres per system, you only get a playlist of the genres for that particular system. The background and border will be the same as the system you're under. Is that how it's supposed to work or am I doing something wrong? Additionally, are we supposed to use the old RetroHumanoid genre videos with the Retrified theme, or are there plans for something new in the future?
  8. Thanks, I know about no.1 but i was looking for the changes required in the code. I would still like to have view number 2 to show 3d art if I ever want that but for view 3, I'm sure there can be code modification without messing with the box priorities. <!-- 3D BOX --> <Image x:Name="CoverImage" Grid.Column="2" Grid.ColumnSpan="2" Grid.Row="1" Grid.RowSpan="4" Source="{Binding Path=ActiveGame.Box3DImagePath}" Opacity="100" Panel.ZIndex="6" Margin="25,-30,25,30" Stretch="Uniform" VerticalAlignment="Top" HorizontalAlignment="Right" RenderOptions.BitmapScalingMode="HighQuality" > This is the code for the 3D box. What do i replace it with for the 2D box? I'm sure there's something.
  9. Great stuff but I have 2 questions. 1. How do I get Box Front to show instead of the 3D Cover? I would rather display all my covers in 2D for consistency across all systems. 2. I see files for genre backgrounds but when do they get used? They don't get used in the arcade of console genres unless I've done something wrong setting up this theme.
  10. Ok, I was in "Gallery" mode. In Gallery mode I just get black squares. It displays the images if you select "Single". The "Missing" feature also doesn't work. Nothing happens on my end. Also, any games with a "-" in the rom name. Launchbox renames them to a ":" so those don't display. For example the rom is called "Army Men - Air Combat (USA)" but launchbox calls it "Army Men: Air Combat". Games like that don't display any media despite the all media files matching the rom name.
  11. Humm...still no fix for those of us with thousands of media files carried over from our Hyperspin days or media downloaded from Emumovies. All my files end with (USA), (Europe), (Japan) and so on. Roms are named the same way. Is it possible to have it find the media if it matches the exact rom name? Shouldn't be hard to do. Launchbox already does this.
  12. Yes, this works still but it goes behind all your windows so you can't have anything else open. Unfortunately it doesn't recognize Hyperspin's naming convention like Launchbox does so you can't use media from either Hyperspin or Emumovies. You're forced to download the media from the Launchbox DB.
  13. Would you mind sharing? The Launchbox audit tool is next to useless and I can't fin anything that actually works. I've kept my Hyperspin install just so I can audit my artwork but It would be nice to just get rid of it.
  14. Having issues where it doesn't find artwork that I clearly have. I have boxes and clear logos for every game in my collection but this tool tells me I'm missing quite a few of them. Seems like any rom I have with a dash but have a colon in the Launchbox name has it's media ignored. For Example, my rom name is "007 - The Wold is Not Enough" but in Launchbox the game title is shown as "007: The Wold is Not Enough". When that happens, this software says my media is missing.
  15. Looks really good. Do you plan on supporting clear logos in the future?
  16. A Canada is the country Above the USA. Mexico is Central America is it not?
  17. Thanks. These look great However, North America includes the USA and Canada. Europe should be the European Union flag. Otherwise great work.
  18. In my hyperspin days I used to use fotoziser https://www.fotosizer.com/
  19. Oh man. These are beautiful. Love the PSP mini logos and on top of that I now have to hunt down 269 hacked games for my collection. I was not expecting this but can't let these logos go to waste.
  20. I've been playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider. No issues here. Works perfectly fine for me when I launch it from BB.
  21. Oh no! We're going to have to update everything yet again? I'm using the Unified Refried theme and I went through every single system theme and changed the settings for how the artwork gets displayed in every system. Retrohumanioid did a good job in his theme but I like my artwork displayed slightly different. Is this going to be an issue? At a certain point the theme creators will stop supporting their themes if things are constantly changing.
  22. I went with Retrohumanoid's Refried because having worked on the Unified theme in my Hyperspin days, I got really sick of looking at it. CriticalCid did a great job of porting it to Launchbox and it's a really great theme. I just needed something fresh and I like that the Retrified theme has an option to have the wheel always show up instead of fading, Plus the wheel is straight, not curved like in the unified theme. In the end it comes down to personal preference really.
  23. That's correct. The Retrified theme works because it uses a different theme for each system. I came across the same issue. The size and margin values from one system did not work on another with a different box size.
  24. Nice theme and I love the Christmas one. had a good laugh. I subscribed to your youtube channel a long long time ago. Do you use your genre videos with the console playlists? I'm assuming there's no way to have Lunchbox play the video for each genre automatically right? I have to set each one of them manually. Same goes for the genre views. It always defaults to the main system view in each genre category. I have to go through each genre category for each system and assign the theme and view I want. Guess it's a small price to pay to get everything looking good.
