  1. That is the "Tools" menu, not the sidebar. It's here.
  2. OK, some details if you don't mind as you didn't provide any in your original post. What OS are you using, what version of said OS, and is it 32 or 64 bit based? Have you been using Launchbox before and it stopped working after a update, or is this a new install? Please provide as much information as you can to help us, to help you. Thanks.
  3. The "Source: mscorlib" is a microsoft .NET error. Make sure you are up to date with respect to .NET, and all Windows updates to be honest. Also as a little bit of forum etiquette, please dont bump your own posts after only a hour. If a user can help you with a issue they will try to.
  4. This is what i personally use, of course your needs will vary.
  5. I use standalone MAME myself and not Retroarch for that.
  6. No it's not at all necessary, but is often what you see recommended. The reason for the recommendation is that it covers a lot of systems with basically one options menu. So you can set up your controller and video settings once in the retroarch UI, and that will work across multiple systems. In my case i use it for all 8 and 16 bit systems, as for the most part i set all my preferences once and it works across all those different emulators/cores.
  7. Also to add to this, how the attract mode looks will depend on the theme used. So if you were to use a theme that had a fading wheel and a full screen video snap after the fade, then that would look somewhat like what you are asking for.
  8. You dont set the path to the folder, you need to add each emulator separately and point to there .exe's in the folder. So snes9x will need to be unzipped for a start, then go to tools/manage emulators add the emulator by navigating to its folder and selecting it's .exe.
  9. Update and/or repair your .NET to version 4.8.
  10. Hmm, can you post the .xml here so i can take a look?
  11. Well that sounds like the problem, it sounds like you have a illegal character in the xml file somehow, have you ever manually edited it? If you open that .xml file with notepad++ and find line 703335 what is in that line?
  12. This is how it is supposed to work, that view in your image is the "Playlist" view, you need to enter that to see the "Game" view, same as it is with any platform. If you had more than one playlist that would be a list of them, choose one to enter to the games list.
  13. Dont post your email on a public forum, thats asking for trouble. https://www.launchbox-app.com/premium/lost-license
  14. Set a exception for Launchbox in riva tuner. Just navigate to the Launchbox.exe and set the Application detection level to "None".
  15. HA ha, now reading the actual first post it says the opposite. So @DwightSchrute, which is it?
  16. Read the thread title again MAME works, it's everything else that isnt. Probably still a path issue though.
  17. Welcome to the community. You have a couple of issues here, as you said the "Exit" exits Bigbox, this is correct, you want "close active window" or similar wording to exit from emulators. As for Street Fighter 5, thats a PC game and should be exited through the in game menus. That is if you value your save games for PC games, the exit that can be set in Launchbox/Bigbox just binds your combo of choice to "Escape" on a keyboard, so that will be unlikely to ever exit any native PC games.
  18. Well thats not true at all as demonstrated by my images in the above post. Can you switch to the same view as i am on above, "Vertical Wheel 2" and post a image of what it shows, thanks. Also make sure you are switching the game view,, and not the platform view.
  19. That is the text list view, that view will never show logos, you need to switch it.
