Make sure you have the cchip.zip rom also. (It's a Taito TC0030CMD (C-Chip) device file needed)

I didn’t think that core was fully functional. (No sound) It used to be there was a branched version for RetroPie, but I don’t think those changes made it to mainstream branch. (Unless there’s been a recent change I missed)

is it possible to launch a .Bat file after exiting emulator in Big box?
Headrush69 replied to Visivopro's topic in Noobs
Me too. Sold my Aimtraks early while they were still worth something. If Sinden’s work as well as they appear, they‘ll be the must have light guns. Can’t wait until September and they arrive. -

Glad you got it working. FYI, I don’t use the same device for every game. For example, I might use a light gun in 1 game, but prefer the trackball, even though it’s a light gun game. In these cases, you can add specific controls in the supermodel.ini per game. Just start with [swtrilgy] and list the key mappings needed. Or you can do it by running the config input option per game, for example supermodel3.exe -config-inputs swtrilgy -
is it possible to launch a .Bat file after exiting emulator in Big box?

When you click on the mission to start, is it selected and starts playing right away, or is there a slight pause before the timer selects the one one you were on? If you look in your supermodel.ini, are your mouse buttons promptly mapped for swtrilgy? -
I would run dxdiag and look to see no errors and that you have hardware acceleration enabled. You can see your video card driver version there. Is it up to date? If you run Windows Update any updates. If you don’t find any problems there, maybe force reinstall DirectX. I’m not sure if the web installer will do that or if you have to download the full installer. Google should get you the info you need.

When you move the mouse it has to be within the black window that appears or it does t appear to register. There are several analog inputs options for this game, so I’d try them all. (Separately) -
We know the issue is related to your DirectX installation, hence why we want to test using the opengl video driver to be sure. Is your Nvidia driver up to date? Might be helpful to run dxdiag also to look for errors or missing components maybe the installer missed.

Change video auto to video opengl in the # OSD VIDEO OPTIONS section.

I'm on r782 still. (Haven't had the need to update) Did you correctly configure your mouse for use in swtrilgy? My ini won't help as I have a real analog joystick I use for that game. -
is it possible to launch a .Bat file after exiting emulator in Big box?
Headrush69 replied to Visivopro's topic in Noobs
Not really. I just changed my configuration to use that bat script to start and it worked fine from both LB and Big Box. No issues with my secondary monitor, or losing focus. I would try using the additional apps method and forget the script method if it's causing focus issues. There are some tricks you can do using AHK scripts to grab focus back, but that additional apps and running you script to erase the nvram file should work. -

Too tired, I should be sleeping..... I forgot, when you edit the game, in the additional apps tab you can set apps to run before or after the game runs. Try running your script there. Sorry about that. Edit: It's more complex but I currently use Rocketlauncher for launching supermodel3 games as it has an option to erase that nvram per game, use bezels, and add scanlines, -

Trying adding to your script, changing into the supermodel folder first. (I added it to example above) It should not be trying to change the resolution if you set it to your monitor resolution, so it's not reading the supermodel.ini file if we aren't in the supermodel folder first. -

I don't know why it's trying to launch on your secondary monitor, but yes setting the resolution to your native monitor resolution will likely help. Like I mentioned, I don't pass these options to supermodel3.exe, but have them set in my supermodel3.ini file in the COnfig folder in the supermodel3 folder. FullScreen = 1 Throttle = 1 ShowFrameRate = 0 FlipStereo = 1 VSync = 1 XResolution = 1920 YResolution = 1080 ... -

Launchbox doesn't know about the zip file. You launch Supermodel passing the zip file for your game in your BAT script. Something like this: @echo off cd "C:\Users\ARCADEPC\LaunchBox\Emulators\SuperModel_3" START /WAIT "" "C:\Users\ARCADEPC\LaunchBox\Emulators\Supermodel3\supermodel3.exe" "E:\ROMS\Supermodel3\mygame.zip" the rest of your script here exit 0 If you have more supermodel options, you can add them here. I don't as I have mine saved in the supermodel.ini file. -

Right click on current rom, select Edit, change the rom file path to your BAT file. In the same window, click the Emulation tab and un-check use emulator. -

I'm not sure LB can run a script on exit yet, but you could modify your script to also include starting that game, waiting until it closes, then do what you have now. Then set this specific game to use that script, rather than use an emulator. When you edit the game, under the additional apps tab you can set applications to run before or after the game. -
Have you loaded the cord and gone into Core Information and checked the MD5 checksums against what the flycast core docs require? Also, although bin/list format still loads, CHDs are the recommended format now. Could be the versions you have don’t work with current version of core. Edit: The docs only give the MD5 for the Dreamcast roms. Just need to make sure the Naomi.zip bios rom are from a recent MAME release. It does list a specific file and MD5 for one of the files in that zip. naomi.zip must include the epr-21576g.ic27 file (md5sum:3bffafac42a7767d8dcecf771f5552ba

You have to create it. Run mame64.exe -cc from a command prompt.

Change Input For Daphne Singe? (Ninja Hayate, TIme Gal)
Headrush69 replied to Cnells2000's topic in Emulation
The dainput.ini file needs to be in the same folder as daphne.exe. I’m confused, you never changed any values to test? It is named dainput.ini and not just dainput ?- 7 replies

I found the same thing. I convert all to CHD to use with Flycast. The quality of cdi images isn’t consistent, I found some that work, some just don’t. Even though it sucks, even with a slow connection, I’ve bit the bullet and looked for GDI format which all have converted without issue.

Change Input For Daphne Singe? (Ninja Hayate, TIme Gal)
Headrush69 replied to Cnells2000's topic in Emulation
Are you sure you are changing the values correctly? I tested it this morning and it worked OK here, but I'm not running that particular Singe game. The only other thing I could suggest, are you 100% it's called dainput.ini? You have show file extensions turned off, so it's possible it's dainput.ini.txt or something similar.- 7 replies

Change Input For Daphne Singe? (Ninja Hayate, TIme Gal)
Headrush69 replied to Cnells2000's topic in Emulation
Do you maintain a separate folder for daphne and singe, or just daphne folder with so he folder inside? If separate, just copy the dainput.ini from Daphne folder into your Singe installation folder right beside the daphne.exe and make your changes. It doesn’t look like you have that file. Just remember that keys that rely on shift being held won't work as the shift is handled as a key press, not a combination with the next key.- 7 replies

It doesn't. You can get that error when trying to run one though.
