  1. If you mean the 3D Box Model, you can turn it off in the Options under Tools > Options > Visuals > Game Details
  2. I think this may cause confusion here. A Box - Front image does not actually mean that the image is required to be scanned. Box - Front is the image type designed around the idea that it's as close to the original front of a game's box that we can get. Whether it was going into a store in the 80s and picking a game off the shelf, or a digital release today, this image type should represent as close to the original as we can get to that experience. This means that Box - Front does not equate to good scans, bad scans, raw scans, a good scan of a badly damaged box... or really has anything to do with scanning specifically. We are just looking for as close to an authentic image that we could get when the box was new.

yeah, you'd have to remove the storyboards as well, since they reference them. Other than that, looking at the code, there should be nothing else overlaying on top of it other than this 30% opacity of a black rectangle.
  4. To make those changes you would have to edit the GameDetailsView.xaml file. If you are just wanting another theme's Game Details look (like the default), you could just take the GameDetailsView.xaml file from that view and copy/paste it into the Default Plus one.

I believe there is a slight fade overtop that entire section. You can delete it by doing a search in the view's xaml file for "Grid 1". Then delete the entire Grid and all of its contents that's just underneath it.
  6. This means that the app in question was not categorized correctly as a game by the developer. So, while not what you want to hear, unfortunately, this means that the only current solution is to use that option to include non-game Android apps and whittle the list down to what you are wanting to see.
  7. This is just a PSA to let you guys know that the Box - Spine image type is now available in the LaunchBox Games Database. This means that you can now submit Box - Spine images to the database, and users will be able to download them directly into LaunchBox. These images should represent what the left side of a game's retail box looks like: There are certain boxes where the main spine is located on the top/bottom of the box (like SNES, N64). In this case, you should upload what the top of the box looks like: If you have any questions about this image type, let us know. Happy Holidays. ------------------- Have a feature request? Don't let it get buried in this thread. Use the Help & Support link at the top of the page and choose Request a Feature.
  8. This depends on what you mean by anywhere. If you mean, in Big Box, within the Platform Categories section, then a platform can go into any Category you want (like the Arcade category), or in multiple categories at the same time, by Editing the platform, under the Parents tab. If you are wanting to add these games as a child of another platform, then you could add all the games into a playlist, then place that playlist into that platform, and remove this new platform from your hierarchy.
  9. The only way you can really do what you want is to import those other games into a separate platform. Then create your 3 playlists from those platforms, and then place those playlists under your SNES platform and remove that separate platform from your hierarchy.
  10. I know it's not exactly what you are thinking, but if you enter into the All Games filter and then do your search, you will be searching your entire library.
  11. This probably means you have the attract mode master volume set to 0%. It's found under Options > Sounds
  12. Couple thoughts here: You could reimport just the clones you want into a custom named platform. You'll need to choose the option to allow to force import duplicate games. You could just add the games you want into its own playlist and use a custom field to state that a clone may be important, or list out details for each game as to what's special about the clones.
  13. I'm fairly certain Neptune doesn't do anything different than the default theme, as it just uses the same carousel control. I would check different themes to make sure Neptune is the only one that's doing this for you.
  14. If you mean that you are building this in the COMMUNITY Theme Creator, and not coding this yourself, then you'll need 3 animation triggers: You need to tell the cart what to do: When the page first loads (Immediately) When a user begins moving the game list (During Selection) When a user finishes moving the game list and stops on a game (Once Selected)
  15. Removing it from the Games Details section in LaunchBox would require a custom theme made with those parts removed. I'd only recommend a user do this if trying to visually customize their game view to their liking, as it doesn't provide any performance gain by doing so.
  16. The metadata file is normally updated to reflect changes in the database every 24-48 hours. However, looks like we just needed to give the database a bit of a nudge. You should see it update within the next 24 hours
  17. In LaunchBox you have full control over how you want Platform Categories to display your platforms, playlists, and categories. That section is designed to be fully modular, and the changes you make in LaunchBox will then get reflected in Big Box. Based on what you are saying, it sounds like you want to delete all categories except for the Arcade category. So in LaunchBox, you could delete the Handhelds category (for example) and its contents would then move to the root of that section. You also have the ability to Edit a platform, go to its Parents tab, and select where you want that platform to show up in your hierarchy. Once you have everything set up the way you like, switch over to Big Box and you'll notice that your Platform Categories section is now updated to reflect your changes.
  18. Not sure why that would be happening. The auto-generated playlists don't get populated with games, but instead a list of rules get set up and any game that matches them will get added to the playlist. For example the Capcom Classics playlist will add games where the Platform is equal to Arcade, and the Publisher contains the word Capcom. You can right click any playlist to see what their auto-populate rules are, and which games found a match. You must first fully close LaunchBox, including making sure it's finished it's closing process by making sure it's not running in task manager. Then you can delete the playlist files without having them return.
  19. You should be able to. Are you able to provide screenshots of your options menu, and what you are seeing?
  20. Are you asking why you have to do it, or that you tried i and it didn't work? You essentially need to do: [rom folder]\raycris\raycris.chd
  21. Probably the simplest way would be to put it inside of a folder that is named after the rom file, and place that folder in the same place as your MAME rom files.
  22. I haven't looked at the code in a while, but it should be somewhere in the SideBarView.xaml file.
  23. ah, I see. Then, yes, that website is also stating that it requires a CHD file to work.
  24. Assuming all games are running fine in RetroArch, are you able to provide the following screenshots: location of ROMs on hard drive Location of RetroArch emulator on hard drive RetroArch emulator entry in LaunchBox (both the Details and Associated Platforms sections) The Launching and Emulation sections of each of your problematic games (found in the Edit game window)
  25. A quick search shows that Ray Crisis requires an extra CHD file to run, and Castle Shikigami (I'm assuming you mean The Castle of Shikigami II) cannot run in MAME yet (It does say it's a Sega Naomi game, so I can only assume it would run inside of something like flycast). This is a good online resource for Arcade games that explains what state certain games are at inside of MAME: http://adb.arcadeitalia.net/
