Did you refresh the Image Cache? Also is the image named exactly as the platform is named?

I will post this on Tuesday. I really did not tweak it much so pretty much looks as the images show. Sorry for the delay, but have not been home for a few days to access my pc. Remember this will only be a functional theme with no media. Any control images I have are unique to my set up and they all have logos made specifically for my cabinets. So not going to redo the thousands of images. This theme will allow to drop your images in the appropriate folders and as long as the images are named as your games/rom files or as the platform is named it should display them easily.

Is it certain platforms you are having issues with? One thing we always recommend is any arcade platform you add always scrape them as “arcade”. Such as SNK Neo Geo if you add as a platform and not a playlist scrape as “arcade”. You say you are having issues with playlists?

Launchbox does not update anything with your roms. What you imported is what it keeps. If you never reimport they just stay the same The only time it can affect it is if you initially added your roms using the Full Mame romset importer. If you do not update your roms and try to run the full importer again after Jason has updated to the latest Mame version it can cause some issues. You should only use this method if you actually have a full Mame romset. The answer on BigBox would be based on what license you bought. Lifetime or yearly? Yearly would mean as long as you are still using the version you were last on when your year expired you can keep using it. If you try to upgrade it will not work. You can only use the versions you downloaded during your year. Lifetime will of course work at any time since you get lifetime updates.

Are all your drivers up to date? I get that exact thing on one of my cabinets and had to switch the video driver. I am not at home to check what I set it to.

If your talking about a single stripe that starts at the bottom and rolls its way up the screen try changing your video setting in Mame. It can be set to options like auto, opengl, and so on. Change to something other than what it is and test.

No, you will want to put it in Launchbox. Go to manage emulators and edit Dolphin. In the Running AHK tab paste the code @jayjay gave you. Be mindful the “Exit AHK” tab is used by the Exit option in Launchbox Pause Theme options. So if exiting from the Pause them using the menu item does not work also paste the code there.

To clarify as I knew I had read somewhere before the automation sent “Escape”. It actually sends that first and then tries Alt+F4 If the emulator has not closed. It can send different commands based on emulator as well. I found the post I was thinking about with Jason’s clarification here. I would definitely try @jayjay recommendation.

Are you talking about startup videos? They should not as quite a while ago the feature was changed to play any startup video in full unless you hit a button to skip out of it. If you are using the old way that required naming the video "Startup" then you need to use the update way. Just create a folder called "Startup" in your \Launchbox\Videos folder and drop the video file in there. It can be any name.

If they launch fine directly in Mame and not in Launchbox there is a disconnect in LB. Can you post pics. Edit your Mame emulator in LB and show pic of the Details tab and the Associated platforms tab. Then select an AAE game and right click, edit. Show a pic of the Main page with the Launcher tab selected and then a pic with the Emulation tab selected.

In the Mame emulator set-up in Launchbox did you add the name of the AAE platform to the associated platforms tab?

The exit command should be sending "Escape" not "Alt+F4". There are some emulators that only close with Alt+F4 so we instruct users to put an AHK in the emulator tab to have "ESC" send "ALT+F4" because of this. You mentioned hitting "Escape" on the keyboard during gameplay does not cause this issue. Is this done when you launched the game through BigBox?

It is because of the new dynamic box sizing. Unfortunately to get this back to how it was you would have to turn that feature off. You have to go to >Tools>Options>Visuals>Boxes and uncheck "Dynamic Box Sizing".

That Star Wars has been working. The 217 updated added Star Wars Arcade.

It could be either one of those that affect your system. I do not have have issues with either on my builds, even the ryzen 2200g runs fine with blur on and box sizing. So just test and go with what works.

In the Launchbox settings try turning the background blur to 0 and turning of Dynamic Box sizing. You will find one in the \Tools\Options\Visuals\Background and the other in \Visuals\Boxes

If you used the full Mame set import option I do not believe Jason updated it to 217 yet. I just ran the importer to check and as you can see Star Wars Arcade (swa.zip) is not present.

Currently there is not. It is in BigBox primarily since that is the main frontend piece for arcade cabinet builds. We could see an update to this at some time, but for now marquee support update did not make the poll items that the team is working on from 2019.

Yes, there are several threads with this same reported issue on focus loss. Jason did advise Startup/Shutdowns would be problematic due to exclusive fullscreen.

Currently no. I think this is mainly because if it works in LB it works in BB since they function off of the same structure. However, there have been some outlier users that with some emulators will have an issue in BB and not LB.

I believe it can only be set by platform, not by category. Even though you can set it while in Launchbox I have only seen it retain the platform specific choice on each reboot.
