  1. @Wheeler What version MameFX and what version romset are you using? Reason I ask is I can replicate this exact issue with my Mame 0.186 romset and any version of MameUI from 0.186 and newer. Both Mame and LB are pointed to where the roms are. The files will play fine in Mame, but when you direct LB to the Mame .exe and the correct roms it will not open in LB. It gives the file missing error and if you open the rom zip you can see the files there. The only way I have got it to work was download Mame 0.175 .exe. If I point LB to that version .exe and leave the 0.186 roms it will launch the rom. Change the .exe path back to 0.186 I get the error. I could even change it to 0.165 and 0.169 versions of the .exe I have and I do not get the error. So for now I just left LB pointing to the 0.186 roms and the 0.175 MameUI .exe. Here is an example of it saying files missing, but you can see in the rom there are there. This game will run directly in Mame no issue.
  2. @eatkinola Thanks, but that did not work. Even tried unblocking and rezipping from different folders. Heck I even dowloaded from another pc, unblocked, unzipped, and transferred to my game cabinet with no luck. For some reason it just does not like that specific .dll. I can download any other pulgin and unzip the .dll and the plugin works fine. I am going to load BigBox on my laptop and test BigBox and your plugin on the laptop see what happens. Edited: After several reboots it works not. Not sure what the heck it was.
  3. I figured out the issue with the .dll from Nosh's theme for the SlimDX.dll. My pc did not have Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable installed. It had 2015 and 2017. So installing 2010 fixed that issue. I can confirm that was it because when I uninstall it I get the error. Now to try and figure out why I cannot get the .dll from eatkinola's Ao BigBox customs unblocked.
  4. Probably just a simple oversight since there are so many playlists that could have been created from the get go.
  5. @eatkinola I am running 64bit. The error I get is the one to right click and unblock the dll. Issue is I did that and it still says I need to do it. I have even deleted it, downloaded a new one, right clicked the zipped file and unblocked, then extracted to plugins folder and it still says I need to unblock. The Ao Bigbox version I downloaded is Ao.Bigbox-2.0.1 I just tested a couple other plugins and had no issues with them (Startup video manager for one). For some reason my pc does not like the .dll in your plugin and the one from Nosh's theme. Those are the only two it has given me issues with.
  6. No luck with that either. Not sure what is going on. I am going to try a few other plugins to see what results I get. If it is just with this .dll file I can live with it since I mainly use Critical Zone theme.
  7. No luck. Reboot so I know LB/BB is not running, made sure the .dll was unblocked (plugin in the theme folder) and same error. Reboot, put the .dll in the main LB plugin folder and BB will not launch due to the same error. Something weird is going on because the AO BigBox Custom .dll will not even unblock. I downloaded an unblocked it but Windows still says it is blocked. So I tested with something simple like the quote of the day plugin. Downloaded it, right clicked and unblocked, and it works fine. That does seem to be a pretty simple plugin, but at least I know I can unblock a plugin .dll and it work. This pc was only built for LB/BB so anything loaded on it was specific to emulator needs or LB/BB needs. Windows 10 (not Creators Update), 7700K, 1070ti, 16GB Ram
  8. @CriticalCid and @neil9000 I will give both these a try.
  9. Just tried to install NoshOnThis theme and unblocked all the plugins related to it. When I switch to the theme I get this DLL error. Outside of this error my BigBox runs fine. DirectX 12 is updated on my machine and Visual C++Redist 2017 as well. Saw on the post for Nosh's theme someone update these and the error went away. For me no luck. Anyone have any idea what dependencies this error is talking about.
  10. Ah maybe payment type alters what is shown. I paid with a credit card I use for online only purchases. Interesting. Thanks @neil9000. I dont mind it shows just my first name, but probably would not want my full name.
  11. Just a question out of curiosity as mine only shows my first name, but yours actually shows your full name?
  12. Yeah, playlists are pretty easy. You can also have the playlist auto-populate any time you create a new playlist or if you want an existing playlist to add games to it any time you upload new games. Just right click the playlist and edit. There is a tab for auto-populate. You can have it auto by name, series, genre and so on. A whole slew of options are there.
  13. As DOS76 said you can have the roms where you want. Leaving them within the Launchbox folder just makes it that much easier to move launchbox if you so choose to another pc or drive. But if you do not put them in the launchbox folder structure it is not really a major issue to update rom paths. When you import your games just keep them stored where you want them than you link to that path. Just be sure to choose the option during import to have launchbox leave the files where you have them. There is an option to have launchbox move them and you do not want that.
  14. One of the reason I throughly enjoy this site. Its members are super helpful and the seasoned as well as developing members hold each other to a professional standard.
  15. I think how LordMonkus described would still be the only way to make a genre platform that would include games of a certain genre from all systems. You would have to make a custom playlist called "Role-Playing", set it up to include all the games you want, then make sure in the Edit playlist screen to check the field to "Include this Playlist in Platforms Lists". Then you would have: Platforms> Genesis SNES Arcade Role-Playing (and this would list all RP games for all systems - per the specs you set up in you custom playlist)
  16. Ah just realized it said 7.1 my eyes read 7.10. I am on 7.10. Even that though my Tankstick has been set up since around 6.9.
  17. That is pretty odd. I have a Tankstick as well. I actually use the default Tankstick button configuration and RA has no issue binding. I just tested by changing a couple bindings and they stuck. I use standalone Mame as well as some FBA cores in RA with my Tankstick. No AHK at all.
  18. Assuming you have all your images in the correct folders, I would do 2 things. 1: In Launchbox go to options then under "Images" - "Box Front Priorities" make sure "Clear Logo" is not at the top. If so move it down and make what ever image type you want the priority. This setting does affect BigBox 2. Then in BigBox make sure you refresh your image cache. Not sure if that is 100% correct, but it is how I changed it to make sure in themes that used box art in certain views that the box art would show if I had an image for it.
  19. Ahh yes. Had I read that correctly. Definitely would be good to see that added to platforms.
  20. There is a plug-in that allows .pdf views. It adds another menu item to the game display list and works with joy controls.
  21. In the Hotkey configuration there is an option for "show pressed keys" look and see what key that option is set to. Pressing it will turn it on or off. I am not sure if this is the default or not, but in my settings that hotkey is set to "comma" key.
  22. @wyzrd Just wanted to add my thanks for this great tool. Simply brilliant!
  23. That should just hide the playlist inside of a platform. I believe he is wanting to hide some, but not all of his platforms and keep playlists visible which I am not sure was implemented.
  24. Oh. I am not sure if BigBox will allow you to pick and choose. Not sure if this will be a look you want but you can use the platform categories option and it will give you an extra layer. Then make your playlists be a platform category. This will separate out playlists from your systems view.
  25. I believe in BigBox options if you change the default startup to "playlists" it will only show playlists.
