It would not matter if the theme has a GameMarqueeView.xaml file already or not. As long as you add one in or replace the original BB is designed to read it. So if you use your specific GameMarqueeView file in a theme other than Unified Refried that other theme shows your Marquee view file correct? If you use it in Unified Refried it does not show, correct? I just downloaded Unified Refried 2.0 and tested with a custom marquee view I use and no issue. Refried is showing it fine. Try downloading a fresh Refried. Maybe something is corrupt.

The Default theme folder would not affect other themes. Also you can never alter/change the default theme as it will always revert to it stock coding to prevent the Default theme from corrupting. Have you tried dropping your Marquee view files in another theme and testing? It could be an issue with Refried. That theme is old and has not been updated in a couple years. The only thing that would override a custom theme's marquee view file is that setting you confirmed is off.

I am actually incorrect, partially about there not being a setting in BB. There actually is an option to "Ignore Theme Marquee Views" however, I think that is off by default. In BB go to setting age then Options > Marquee Screen and make sure that option is not turned on. If it was then that was likely the issue.

All themes will use BB default marquee settings unless a GameMarqueeView.xaml and/or PlatformMarqueeView.xaml is present in the theme's \Views folder. Those 2 files, if in the theme's views folder, will override BB default marquee use. There is no setting you need to check it should just read the xaml. Do you have the files in the correct folder and are they named correctly? Perhaps post a pic of the inside of the theme's view folder.

Select all the games in the platform or all games for your entire collection. Then go to >Tools >Download >Update Metadata and Media for Selected Games. Uncheck all media image options and leave "manuals" checked. Keep in mind manuals are only available through Emumovies and you need a paid version of Emumovies to download from within LB directly.

Right click and edit a platform or playlist. The "Parents" tab allows you to determine where you want each to appear. Also when you edit a playlist on the "Details" tab is a box to check to include the playlist with the platforms.

You can use a license on as many set-ups as you personally own. Sharing a license is a good way to get it banned/black listed. You should purchase or have him purchase his own license.

I know. You asked were there any options in your original post. The answer was no which is what I said and why I stated BB is only capable of doing what was mentioned.

No. BB attract mode cannot wait until clips end. It can only cycle at a set amount of time you choose in the settings.

You can manually add any platform you want it does not have to be already available in LB. Just import the roms and type in a new platform name in the field it when it asks what platform you are importing it into. Just be sure to assign the emulator to use and make sure the name of the new platform is listed in the emulator's Associated Platforms tab and you are good to go.

Likely in the \Emulators folder.

To change a folder location for LB right click the platform name in LB (on the left hand pane where the platforms are listed) and edit. In there you will find the folder tabs where you can change the path. Just an FYI... The official folder layout so you do not need to edit anything is \Launchbox\Videos\[Platform Name] You just drop the gameplay videos in there. They must be named after the rom name or as the game is named directly in LB. Additionally in that folder there are 4 subfolders (Marquee / Recordings / Theme / Trailer) each is where you would place the unique video for those categories for each game.

Howe are you trying to change the view? Best way thing to do is to bind a key or button the the option for "Change View" in either your keyboard or controller bindings in the settings. Then back out of the settings page and back into the platform and hit that key/button. You should see the view type change now. Keep in mind custom theme may only have a couple views the theme creator made. So not all theme's use all the view types available.

When you say you deleted from LB what exactly do you mean? If you mean imported a full set into LB and then delete a lot of the games that were imported from within LB that does not delete all the other files and non-arcade games that are contained within a true full Mame rom set that LB never imports. So that is why you would still have a large chunk of data left in the actual rom folder.

The theme you are using would need to be edited. What theme is it?

That code means you have a pirated license stored in your \Launbox folder. What free license? If you purchased a hard drive loaded with LB and it came with a license then you are using a bad license and need to get your money back. The only way to get a legitimate license is directly from our site.

Since you tried a couple times redo it once more and check the box for "Force Import Duplicate". If it shows up then it means it was already imported and might be hidden by one of the "hide games missing" options if you have any checked.

Are you experiencing any other graphical issues inside of LB/BB? Have you tried another Startup/Shutdown theme to see if any elements are missing there?

Hopefully by now you have requested your refund from support@unbrokensoftware.com. We appreciate any constructive feedback, but we do prefer not to have this type of childish temperament. He did not "trash" your hardware just simply advised the Shield is aging.
