I see it quite complicated. I have instructions here.

Where do I put the "magazines" folder that is downloaded? Another question, what is Demoscene, Diskmags and SID? Can I erase it? This is answered in the video. 1 hour ago, Merovingio said: Another question, what is Demoscene, Diskmags and SID? Can I erase it? I only want the games Demoscene is essentially art and music demonstrations by C64 scene groups that push the hardware to its limits. They're neat, and still a big part of the C64 scene today. Diskmags are news magazines in disk form. They often have music and art to go along with the current news stories in each issue. These are still being released today by various scene groups. SID refers to the SID chip which is the sound and music chip used by the C64. The SID category is a collection of music tracks composed for the C64. Again, this is still a big and active scene today. You could technically delete these but you're talking about around 100MB out of a 30GB+ collection.
Kured
Absolutely fantastic project I see at the top of the thread, it says "Current progress: working through "P" yet, the games list seems to be pretty complete? Are you going back through the alphabet and adding missing games? Also, is it ok to suggest a couple of games? 1) You've got Super Huey, but not Super Huey 2 (which is arguably better) 2) Mediator. A really great game, but the official cassette version of this was released with a game-breaking bug near the end. However, maybe there is a different copy out there that works? Thanks for your hard work!
Zombeaver
7 hours ago, Kured said: Are you going back through the alphabet and adding missing games? I'm parsing through all of Gamebase64. The existing games that are beyond "P" are ones that I played as a kid, knew about already, were specifically requested by users, etc. The overall completion level, however, is based on a complete pass through every game in GB64, which is why the next version will be v0.60, as I'm about 60% of the way through it at this point. 7 hours ago, Kured said: Also, is it ok to suggest a couple of games? Absolutely. With that said, no requests at this point will be in the next version, as all 500 new game slots are accounted for. I've added both games to the to-do list for post v0.60 additions. I'll have more detailed info later, but things are getting pretty close at this point. I'm in the metadata and media creation phase currently (final phase of work for the update). The best way to keep track of progress is on my Discord, and I will be posting a release candidate for v0.60 there prior to the standard wider public release.
Kured
Brilliant info there, thanks Zombeaver That's great to know the two games are on the list for the future. I'm hoping there's a bug-free version of Mediator that you can use. Oh, one more easy suggestion for you... For the game "Beyond the Forbidden Forest", when the game first starts, it sits in "demo mode" until F7 is pressed. I think this confuses a lot of people, and they wonder why there are no monsters. Maybe you could add a popup or something to tell people to press it, or add "press F7 to start the game" to the notes on the spreadsheet Cheers! I made a notes overlay for it which will be in v0.60.

hoderer
@Zombeaver Sorry, I had to delete my previous post, because in the meantime I took a closer look and learned alot how 4 player is working and how you configured it But one problem remains: I can't get the game "straight-up" to work with 4-player. I added it manually. Did you add this game in the meantime in 0.60? It's from the same author as "shotgun" and "frogs", which are already implemented (and it's really a great & fun game). I tried to configure everything exactly as "shotgun" and "frogs" (I even copied & renamed the cfg and opt-files of "frogs" to have the same options with "straight-up"), but only 1 and 2 player work. 3 and 4 seem to work, but quickly after moving, they stuck. After that, the firebuttons of player 3 and 4 are still working. I really don't know what I'm doing wrong here. I know you don't take requests anymore for 0.60, but I'd be glad if you could take a look sometime (I enclosed the game, since it's free). Thanks alot! Can't wait for the new version. Madman_DE
Err.. what do I do so the C64 dreams stuff will have one of these new icons that got introduced recently? Edit: I figured you need to set the <ScrapeAs in the XML files for the platforms. However for platform categories there is no such tag. Edit2: Figured you have to have the icon with identical name in \Images\Platform Icons\Platforms Edited March 7 by Madman_DE
