**** ANNOUNCEMENT ***   The latest LaunchBox beta release (13.3-beta-1) causes an issue where the ThirdScreen settings page might crash and corrupt your ThirdScreen settings. The plugin itself appears to be working just fine though, so if you are on beta releases just hold off on trying to go into the ThirdScreen settings page until I release a fix. It would also be a good idea to make a backup of LaunchBox/Data/ThirdScreenSettings.xml.

Edit: This has been resolved with version 2.0.15 of the plugin.

All fixed with ThirdScreen v2.0.15. Even if you are not on beta releases you will need to install the new version of the plugin before LaunchBox version 13.3 is released to avoid any issues.

I’m having an issue with the plug-in. When I set it up it works fine. But if I quit Launchbox and come back to it later on (without restarting Windows), I’m getting display is not currently detected. Then if I choose a display from the drop down window, the numbers are changed.  They should be 1 for the 55”, 2 for the marquee up top and three for display below the 55”.

I’m using the current plugin with Launchbox 13.2. I have a RTX 2070 with the main screen plugged into the hdmi port and the other 2 in the display ports. I have the current drivers installed for the GTX.

@midd It uses the IDs of the physical ports, not the display numbers since Windows can and will renumber your screens. As long as you are leaving your screens plugged into the same ports it should be fine.

Please click the gear icon in the upper right of the ThirdScreen settings page and enable logging. Then send me the ThirdScreen log (from the LaunchBox/Logs folder) after  doing the following:

1. Start LB, and choose your displays in ThirdScreen settings.

2. Restart LB.

If I understand correctly, it works after doing 1, but stops working after doing 2, correct?

yes that's right. Sometimes it works, other times it will not. Sometimes I have to go into BigBox and change the screen number for the primary screen because it will launch into the marquee.

I was coming on here to see if such a thing existed. Love the plug in, but would really love to see a feature where the clear logo pngs are transparent and you choose an option to layer them with fan art, video, etc. This would be great for Steam games as they feature marquee art and clear logos

if love to see a count down timer that the user can assign per game.  there are some teknoparrot games that literally take minutes to load and lunch, making you think the game has locked up.

so would be great as a user for me to tag a game and put in whatever seconds i want as a countdown so the user knows they have to wait

First off - BRAVO on creating this plug-in. As mentioned before, I was using bat files to have VLC open videos on my marquee and topper screens for my home "casino" cabinet I just finished. This plug in is way way way way better.

1 thing I cant seem to figure out - some of my topper videos and marquees have ambient music and sound efx tracks as part of the video and with this plug-in, audio from the videos doesn't play through - ie: there is no audio coming through.

I went through every setting and screen to try and find this option, but with no joy.

Does the plug in support audio from the video? or is there a setting I missed somewhere?

Please advise.

Attached are pictures of my slot machine cab. The "bright" one I was still working on all the wiring for it - so excuse the mess.

@HiRez00 Those slot machine cabs look awesome. The plugin mutes audio for all videos playing on your marquee(s). I think that would be the desired behavior in most cases, but if/when I have time I'll add a settings option for it.

@superrob3000 Oh I agree. In most peoples cases, they would want to sound off on the marquee or any other screen. Mine is a unique / special case I guess.

Ideally - if there was a option / setting (either a pulldown or check box) for each screen with 3 choices of behavior: 1.)  mute audio, 2.)  play audio in front end - but mute when game is launched 3.) Leave audio on all the time.

If you ever have the time to perhaps add this feature - that would be very cool. But I know how 'life' gets in the way of these sortta things.

Regardless - still the best plug in I ever installed on Launch / Big Box.

Yeap I reckon this feature will be awesome! Not all clear logo are designed in 21:9 aspect ratio and mostly just centered. I already imagine overlaying a clear logo ontop of a fanart background

I'm having a issue where at form logos in PNG show in black bar a couple inches above and under logo then the blur effect shows. I'll upload picture to ight can't seem to fix this. Works great with MP4 videos though.

Hey so I have playlist that are unofficial Mario Kart / Mortal Kombat / Shoot’em ups etc… and it doesn’t show up to add the (platform) Marquee video… How do I fix this?

@Qcthakidd In LaunchBox, right click on the playlist, choose edit, then in the lower left corner make sure "Include this Playlist with Platforms" is checked.

You can grab the latest version (3.0.2). It no longer requires the include with platforms setting for a playlist to show up in the platform/playlist video marquee management  tool.
