Hey, I cannot install the .sequ files. Acrobat Reader tells me they might be damaged?
-
uff, well yeah this is the nuclear option. If you have a different drive, try launching retroarch from that different drive. If that doesn't work and you have installed windows freshly AND have tried unplugging all additional hardware, ... well then I don't know. You should check your drives with CrystalDiskInfo.

Hmm, OK, so this is pure guesswork now. 1. try to unplug EVERY USB device except for your mouse and strat again. If that does not help, then tray a differen USB port for your mouse. 2. If you have multiple GPUs, assign a spcific one to Retroarch (make sure it doesn't use an integrated CPU) 3. Take a look at indows event log to see if an error appears when tring to start Retroarch. 4. Take a look at this thread. The problem sunds similar. Maybe someone there can help you. https://forums.libretro.com/t/retroarch-on-windows-10-starting-and-loading-games-slowly/17533/21

So it used to work fine and now suddenly it doesn't? What exactly takes 1-2 min to load? Is it the program itself or when you try to load a rom? Have you tried downloading a fresh Retroarch archive and started completely from scratch (not just deleting the cfg file, but have a completely fresh install?)

Where do you put these Spline images?

"Everything" gets very confusing once hacks and fanmade games are included. If I wanted "everyting", I'd just import the entire No Intro SNES set. Then I'd download the Goodset collection, extract, search for "hack" and then import all the hacks. I'd consider this "complete". However, many of these "Goodset" hacks are unfinished and/or broken, so in my case, I think I'd just search out hacks that are "completed", but that is A LOT of manual work. Anyway, I'd keep the hacks separate from the official releases to keep things organized. For "completed" hacks, you can start looking here:

That can't be right. Fllashpoint Ultimate alone has well over 170.000 titles as of Version 11.1. Version 12 should come out soon with even more titles.

You are correct, he includes everything there is. For a 1g1r set 60k games sounds about right if you have all the major consoles and handhelds, but it depends on what you inlcude. I am at around 300k titles with a (mosty) 1g1r, but I do also include the Flashpoint ultimate collection, the Exo (DOS, ScummVM, ...) collections and C64 dreams, as well as sveral TOSEC collections for the computer systems (which then makes it not strictly 1g1r anymore, since there is no easy way to convert a TOSEC set to 1g1r). Then Ialso started adding magazines and comics and that way, the collection can get really large really fast. Been thinking about going the same route as OP, but have decided against it, because Launchbox will get cluttered up too much for my personal taste and BigBox doesn't handle such huge collections very well, even on a high end PC. I want to still have a conveniently usable collection rather than a complete archive. Plus, if I decided to include everything, I'd probably force myself to do the same for the newer systems (PS3, XBOX 360) as well, and that would mean A LOT of additional storage space, which I don't want to spend money on atm. I'm at around 35-40 TB right now, despite having compressed to CHD or other compressed formats whenever possible. This saved a huge amount of space, but if you want WiiU, Switch, PS3, PSVita, 3DS, Flashpoint Ultimate, ... you'll eventually reach those numbers, even on a 1g1r set.

Dying Light 2 won't sync to launchbox Database
SiriusVI replied to SiriusVI's topic in Troubleshooting
Got it. Thx for the info! -
Hey, just imported Dying Light 2 from Steam and when looking to sync it to Launchbox's database, it doesn't work. It doesn't even search for anything, the error message just appears instantly: It's like the search function doesn't work at all for this specific game. It works on other games, or it used to work. Dying Light 2 is the only game I bought after updating to the latest Launchbox version.

This looks super cool! Will try it out immediately ... well after downloading for a very long time, haha. EDIT: Flashpoint 12 Ultimate doesn't seem to be available for DL, yet. Does your new tool version also work for 11.1? EDIT 2: Just wanted to mention that the page is online again.

Hey everyone, this is more of a bug report. I believe the platform icon for PSP and PS Vita are the same. Is this intended? Best wishes, SiriusVI

Oh OK, so I's need to find a way to convert the files to .nds. Thx. -
Database update: DSiWare (in Nintendo DS platform)
SiriusVI replied to kurzih's topic in Contributions
Are you sure? From what I found, that is not possible. You CAN launch individsual DSi games, but DSiWare games need to be installed do a nand file and then must be launched from the internal DSi menu. Same with MelonDS. Do you remember how you set up the emulator to launch DSiWare games directly? -
Database update: DSiWare (in Nintendo DS platform)
SiriusVI replied to kurzih's topic in Contributions
Does a solution exist to somehow add individual DSiWare games to launchbox and have them launch in MelonDS. Every tutorial I found to achieve this is too inconvenient (such as having to add a retroarch instance for EVERY game one adds to the platform.) -
I'm also interested in this. It would also enable us to launch android games in Launchbox without emulators that often don't work well.

Can't close down Cemu within LB/BB. Can anybody help me out, please?

Thank you! This did the trick: ESC:: { SetTitleMatchMode, 2 WinWaitActive, Cemu WinClose } -

SiriusVI replied to rafster's topic in Troubleshooting
Doesn't work for me either. Just goes into windowed mode. Not running as admin. It closes however, when I hit the exit combo on my controller a second time. Odd. Even weirder: If I hit ESC on my keyboard, the emulator closes immediately. -
@oblivioncth I've just updated to the newest version and everything worked great as always. However, I have a few suggestions on how to probably improve the plugin, although I am not at all sure it's possible: 1. Could Flashpoint be imported in a way so that "Flashpoint" is a platform category and then all the individual platforms are assigned to that category rather than the launchbox root? Having all the platforms show on the root level kind of clutters up the launchbox selection. I usually do this manually and things look really tidy, but everytime I update, many of the platforms are placed on the root level again. 2. Is it possible to include the description of the platforms from the official site intoo the "Notes" section of each platform? I mean the ones found here: https://bluemaxima.org/flashpoint/platforms Anyway, theser are my 2 cents.

What would be the best way to update from a previously integrated C64Dreams version? I believe I would first have to delete the platforms, playlists and categories from Launchbox completely before integrating the new collection right?
-
I'll make sure to try that, although I don't really have many auto-generated playlists.

Old thread, I know, but I still have the same experience. I have recently bought a high end PC with one of the fastest Intel CPUs, DDR5 ram and only SSD storage, no HDDs and sadly, Bigbox runs basically the same as on my 10 year old, much weaker PC. The start up time is now much faster, which is awesome, but the videos just take way too long to show up. Example: Once the voice says "initializing BigBox", it takes around 10 seconds until the first platform category video starts playing and then when I go around all the platform categories, the videos take forever to change. So if I am on "consoles" and move up to "computer systems" for the first time, the console video still plays for another 10 seconds before the computer systems video starts. When switching to "handhelds", the transition is a bit faster. It seems to depend on how many games are imported. Computer Systems is the largest platform category, so it takes the longest. Oddly, once I have gone through all of the platform categories once, the transitions are instantaneous the second time. The same thing happens with all the platforms inside the platform categores and also on the level of individual games, but it's much less noticeable, because a single platform does not have as many games a platform category. The change is instantaneous, but the videos / transitions will lag / stutter a bit. I have no idea why this is. I thought it might be because of the video player, so I switched from VLC to WMP, but the issue persists. I must add that because of all the computer systems I have integrated, I have almost 300.000 games in Launchbox / BigBox. I guess BigBox struggles with these unreasonably massive collections.

Hey everyone, I have a specific scenario and don't know what to do: I have a few PS2 roms that I converted from .iso and.bin to .cso to save some space. I have created a 1g1r dat file that contains the complete 1g1r set. Now what I would like to do is to check what games I am missing, but I want to check the files I have against the file names in the dat (not the md5 or sha1), since the files are now in .cso. Is there any easy way to do this?

I saw here was an update on the Github page, but now there are two different versions: static and shared. Which one do I use to import flashpint 11.1 into Launchbox?
