There is no option but you can alter a theme to revert it to the old style. To get rid of that error delete InputBindings.xml file in \\LaunchBox\Data\. Doing so will reset your controller bindings in Big Box though so make sure you reset them after.

LB 13 .Net Core does not download during installation
C-Beats replied to mark928s's topic in Troubleshooting
Go to Add/Remove Programs. Look for an entry labeled "Microsoft Windows Desktop Runtime - 3.1..." (there is probably a third number, depending on what you do or don't have installed. If that exists select it and remove it then restart your computer before moving onto the next step. Go here and download the .NET Desktop Runtime 3.1.31 (you want the x64 installer). Once downloaded run that setup, restart your computer again and you should be good to go. -
@RobertBlum The issue you're running into is you don't HAVE Box images. You have 3D Box images. They are different in the LaunchBox ecosystem. The new models utilize the images from the Front/Back image group as well as spines and logo images (or a full scan cover image). If you want to continue to use the images you have in the old CoverFlow style you CAN but it requires an alteration to your theme file. Attach or PM me the "CoverFlowWithDetailsView.xaml" file in your \\LaunchBox\Themes\{ThemeName}\ directory and I can show you where/how to do that.

LB 13 .Net Core does not download during installation
C-Beats replied to mark928s's topic in Troubleshooting
Typically this is because of corrupted system files in your operating system. To resolve the issue do the following: Run command prompt as administrator and then type the command "sfc /scannow" (without quotes) and let it run, then restart your computer. After you come back run the installer again. If that doesn't correct you may need to manually uninstall the runtimes and then manually install them again. If you get to this point and need help just ask and we can get you steps to do that as well. -
Big Box - Crashing while in attract mode
C-Beats replied to jonathanmarcoux's topic in Troubleshooting
Are you seeing anything in Windows Event Viewer? I know Jason has an army of test machines and all were started with the 13.0 official release before we deployed it, and as of last night he reported in that all were still running. -
Just so I'm clear, are you referring to LaunchBox or Big Box?

Please stop opening frivolous tickets... The only image types in Carousel are Screenshots and Backgrounds, and every item that is IN the carousel can be opted out/in via the options menu

No, at the moment the feature doesn't support importing your own model files. It'd be interesting to try at some point, but there are just so many ways for that process to go wrong that it wasn't considered feasible to tackle first go around.

Could you be more specific? What theme are you using (assume you mean Old Default) and what view are wanting back to the way it was?

Norton is a pretty trash piece of software and is far more akin to ransomware than it is an antivirus program. You'd do far better removing it and using Windows Defender. In the meantime check your \\LaunchBox\Updates\ folder and see if you have the 12.16 installer in there. If so run that against your current install and it should put 12.16 and all it's files back and get you back up and running. Running the installer won't clear any data so you're safe there. Just make sure you don't accidentally install it to \\LaunchBox\LaunchBox\

Nice catch @elwooha6! I have this corrected on our end. Should work better in the next release.

How you click on the item and where you have to click are all in how the theme is setup and requires altering the theme files to change. Beats grid does the automatic row sizing still but does allow you to click anywhere in the box the logo sits in. Another alternative option is for you to just make a theme mashup using the two themes you like. Copy Default Plus folder to a new one, then copy the BoxesContentView.xaml file from Lambda's folder to the new one you just created.

We already download and apply bezels for both MAME and RetroArch. I sincerely doubt we ever tackle doing it for all applications. You can look into Reshade to handle something like that.

Your issue is caused because for some reason your GameDetails panel isn't deselecting when editing the game. If you wait to press Edit until that panel is full loaded do you still have the problem?

Please... still like half the work you already did for all those bezels! What's another 1300 operations amongst friends

Yeah, I admit showing that page with that box unchecked does make it a bit confusing. You should have no problem doing what you want though. Checking "Do not replace..." (middle option) also applies for metadata and so we won't overwrite data you have in that field (if you have anything). If feeling a bit uneasy about it still, just create a backup first, run the tool, then spot check a few items. See any changes you don't want just restore the backup.

@Mr. RetroLust @Drybonz This is LaunchBox working as intended. If you uncheck that box we don't search in LaunchBox GamesDB for metadata OR media and since you also unchecked EmuMovies you didn't actually tell LaunchBox you wanted to grab anything at all and so it spins up, acts like it'll start grabbing something, then immediately stops with nothing gained.

You should able to bulk edit change the platform on all the games in the platform. When doing so the wizard will ask if you want it to move media for you. Just tell it yes.

I don't think there is currently a way to tell LED Blinky to look in a playlist name for the game instead of the platform list. You'd need to change the platform on those games to "Sega Model 2" (make sure to also add the platform to MAME's associated platforms via Manage Emulators) to get it to perform the way you are wanting it to. Or migrate your Sega Model 2 LEDBlinky data to the MAME list (though I admit I don't use LEDBlinky and so don't know how daunting that task is)

Edit the game and copy the title into the sort title. The sort title is the only field in the Sort Title tab of the Edit window. In English those words are called articles and aren't normally used in alphabetizing records, but editing the field makes it possible.

Launchbox Has Audio but No Picture for Videos Randomly
C-Beats replied to darreldearth's topic in Troubleshooting
Are you using WMP or VLC as your playback engine? Also are the videos not playing Steam Trailers or some other video?
