@RetroGamerGER @Jackdefjam Can you explain what you're doing when you see that popup? Sounds like just backing up to the new theme. Does look a bit like it could be related to the language difference so least gives me a good point to look. Thanks for the report.

Hey @Aj67 I briefly checked the OdinHandheld subreddit and found this post here where a user is having the same issue you are with Arc Browser and a few other apps. One comment in that subreddit states that Ayn has reached out to one user stating this is a known firmware bug and will be resolved in a future update, another comment helps explain how one user was able to grant LaunchBox special permissions that allowed them to access the files they needed. May give you a work around in the meantime.

Thanks for the reports. I have been able to confirm the cause for most of these reports and another beta will be out soon to correct. If I run into a report I can't replicate I'll ping the reporter so we can get more information and get the issue resolved. We appreciate you all taking the time to download the beta and report these issues. This beta especially has a FAR larger number of files updated, added, or removed than most of our releases so appreciate having the extra eyes on it.

keeps telling me i need to install .net core which I have
C-Beats replied to tesla60's topic in Troubleshooting
Typically people that have posted this issue have resolved it uninstalling .NET Core runtime (and SDK if installed) via Add/Remove Programs, then restarting their computer, then running the .NET Core 3.1 Runtime installer from here and then restarting their computer again. I'm unsure what causes the corruption in the system that makes it not detect that .NET core is installed. -
I own an Odin pro and getting PS2 to run through AetherSX2 was a pretty painless experience and plays the games well (least the ones I've played)

In my cab I have a xinput encoder but I STILL run x360ce to help with a lot of weird controller issues. Also helps customize controls in titles I may not have been able to. I even use it to trick Big Box into thinking my controls are laid out differently than they are in other games so that I can navigate the menus seamlessly whether using the arcade control configuration or the side pinball buttons. Not sure it will solve ALL your problems, but it's helped make any issues I had far more manageable.

We realize the website is starting to show it's age and has a lot of improvements that could be made to it. We are actively seeking to expand our team with a web developer that could help make such requests a reality. More information about that position can be found here (apologies for the shameless plug):

Doing what you did should remove it. If you aren't seeing them gone when you restart your machine you probably have "-backup.xml" files in your data folder that don't belong there causing the issue.

Custom Badges
C-Beats replied to jayjay's topic in Third-Party Applications and Plugins (Development and Beta Testing)
You already get this controller information when scraping Nintendo Wii games. You can then use the auto-populate playlists, on the fly filter, or manage controller menus to help you find which game has which controller -
Any BigBox themes for Arcade cocktail table available?
C-Beats replied to Sascha-FFM's topic in Big Box Custom Themes
I don't know of any released cocktail mode themes. I believe it should be possible via WPF/XAML though. Essentially you would create the theme on the bottom half of the screen then use a visual brush to draw that same theme on the top half but with it's render transform rotated 180 degrees. -
Theme similar to reset collection?
C-Beats replied to steven1977's topic in Third-Party Applications and Plugins (Released)
Were you looking for an Android theme or a Big Box one? -
Close LaunchBox, then navigate to \\LaunchBox\Data\ and delete the ImageQueue.xml file. Then restart LaunchBox. Deleting this file will stop the downloads from attempting to start again when you open LaunchBox

We have a video on our YT channel but it's quite a bit outdated. @JoeViking245 may be able to get you you an empty .sln file that you can start with. As long as you're familiar with Visual Studio getting the classes for the plugin DLL is pretty easy. All the names are fairly straightforward, but if you get that far and still need help feel free to ask on the forums and I'm sure I or one of the other plugin devs can get your questions answered.

Wrong language, but yeah the logic isn't hard. If you want it added to the app officially you would need to request a feature, and even then it may be a while before you see any traction on an item like that as it's a pretty niche use case. Would be faster just to ask a plugin dev if they'd consider making the plugin for you.

Problem you're stating and this thread don't read even close to the same. That thread is talking about not being able to run LaunchBox directly off an SD card formatted as external storage. You're talking about a new feature that was put in about a week ago which simply changes the ROM's application path folder from one folder to another (like the feature does in LB Windows)
-
No you cannot move the image cache. Yes you can copy LB to local before running as long as you have it setup correctly. LaunchBox is an entirely portable application and can be moved around anyway assuming your paths are all set up correctly (and the destination machine has the pre-reqs installed already)
-
I run LB Android on my Odin Pro with the SD card set as external storage and have never had permission issues. I just recently moved items from my SD external storage to internal storage and used the change ROM folder path and had no issues.

You can edit these in app one platform at a time by going to Tools > Manage > Manage Platforms, then selecting the platform and pressing Edit. Once the Edit Platform window opens go to the folders page and change them to where ever you wish. The data file this information is stored in is \\LaunchBox\Data\Platforms.xml. The data is stored in a <PlatformFolder> tag.
-
When updating your video drivers did you allow Windows to do it for you, or did you grab the drivers from the graphic card manufacturers website? I ask because the ones Windows applies are generally either generic drivers or really old compared to what is on their site. If you used Windows it may be worthwhile to check the manufacturers website.
-
You can edit your platform and change the media folders in the Edit Window. This needs to be done per platform as we don't have any global settings affecting this logic.

If you are running NVIDIA control panel make sure it's isn't forcing any weird sync settings on the app as well. These tend to more harm than good when running WPF applications like LaunchBox.
