  1. MAME is very complicated in that regard with lots of the files needing other files in the set in order to function. So unfortunately that's not easy to manage, and LaunchBox doesn't offer that option for that reason. There are custom smaller sets of MAME ROMs available, but you might have a hard time customizing your own set (though I'm sure it is possible).
  2. Hi Jair, there is actually a Documentation PDF file available that comes with LaunchBox. It should be LaunchBox\Themes\Documentation.pdf. It's pretty extensive but it might not be completely up to date.
  3. Yes, that does make sense; I thought about that. I'm not sure if it should be a priority to change, but I'll probably get to it at some point.
  4. Ah, the default background is shown because of the clear logo in the background. You can turn that off by disabling the clear logo image type in the background priorities.
  5. Hmm, seems I can't replicate it. I have a custom background in mine as well, and if a game doesn't have a background, it just reverts to the custom background. I might not be following though. What do you mean by the default background?
  6. Yes, the MAME.ini file should be in the MAME folder. Check to make sure LaunchBox is using the correct version of MAME? If it works outside of LaunchBox, then that's my only guess as to what might be going on.
  7. This is probably caused by MAME not being able to find the ROM. Check your MAME.ini file to make sure that the ROMs path is correct.
  8. Happy to give you a refund; just email us at support@unbrokensoftware.com. You were given the option to use the old version as long as you wished, but you had automatic updates enabled in the options. It's easy to turn off. I can also provide you with a link to the old version via the support email and you can downgrade if that's what you want. I wasn't aware of the controller issues you mention here but I will take a look. I will say that the number of people who have asked for a controller hotkey for random game selection is probably less than 10. Considering the number of users we have, there are many, many, many more common requests.
  9. I'm very confused by what you mean here. You don't use VisibleCount to change how many are actually displayed in the wheel; it's only used on the backend to define how many need rendered at any one time. If you're looking to make the wheels smaller or larger or have more or less items displayed, it's the Camera properties that you need to adjust.
  10. No need to apologize! So much appreciated.
  11. Booo! Standard version is better!
  12. One thing I've noticed to keep in mind: the Background Fade option will adjust how dark or light the background is for you. I love that.
  13. Killer! You're amazing.
  14. Hahaha, so that was quick...
  15. @Grila I already much prefer this theme to the default one that I built, so much appreciated. I don't think even I can go back to the default theme at this point. Unfortunately I'm noticing though that the BackgroundOpacity property is now affecting the entire boxes and not just the backgrounds; I guess we should have seen that coming. Hit me up and we can brainstorm a solution. The only other minor gripe I have is that there's no way to access the main menu, so there's no way to access the Help menu, which is relatively important. Or am I just missing it?
    Awwww yeahhhhh. Loving it @Grila!
  16. The first beta for 8.7 has been released. It's not an overly exciting beta; obviously more interesting stuff is coming. Here's what we have so far: - Improvement: Swapped out the default Racing Games clear logo with a new one that is easier to see thanks to @letstalkaboutdune - Improvement: Added a new BackgroundOpacity property to the LaunchBox BoxItemViewModel, primarily for @Grila's new LaunchBox custom theme
  17. Killer. I have the code ready for that new property; I just have to package up the beta. So that is coming soon as well. I can't wait to play with that theme!
  18. @Grila Wooo! I will get you a beta today with that feature. I just sent out an email with a big image of the theme so people are gonna want it here soon. The one thing I would say though is that if there's any way for you to make it work with the official release, that would be appreciated (even without the option to fade the backgrounds). Otherwise, I think it will be a big source of confusion.
  19. Thank you @letstalkaboutdune! Just to let you know I've replaced the default Racing logo that comes with LaunchBox with yours, just because I like it and it's easier to see in the wheels.
  20. Awesome! Looking good @letstalkaboutdune.
  21. It means that the clones will be available to run from the right-click menu, or from the game details menu in Big Box.
  22. Unfortunately I think it was removed some time about when Brad left. I don't have access to it currently. I do know that we need a new one though.
  23. If you see images popping in, you just need to increase the visible count. The visible count should be slightly larger than what is actually displayed on the screen.
  24. @theolsonhome If you import hacks, sometimes unfortunately those hacks can end up as the main game, which is why you're seeing Hangly Man and such. This is due to the region prioritization, but I think it could be improved to skip over the hacks, so I'll look to do that here soon. If you skip the hacks though, then you won't have that problem.
